    96. High Performers and Marriage with Dr. Chavonne Feb 28, 2022
    Show notes

Many people join the network marketing business model because they want something better for their families. Whether it’s the ability to work from home or the extra income, it’s easy to see why it’s so inviting. But juggling the needs of a successful business and your family can be difficult even on the best days.

It can become even more challenging if your marriage is suffering as well. Keeping your relationship healthy is hard enough, but throw in the added stress of a growing business and you’ve got a recipe for potential disaster.

This week Kristen is talking with friend, colleague, and marriage coach Dr. Chavonne, about how to eliminate relationship burnout from putting your spouse on the back burner.

    Listen in as they discuss:

    • How to tell if your self-worth is tied to achievement
    • Learning to have compassion for yourself when you feel the need to escape into your business
    • Achievement addiction
    • The dangers of weaponizing your personal development against your spouse
    • What it looks like to hold space for your spouse in your day-to-day

Often it’s easy to get lost in your business, especially if you’re experiencing success. But if you take the time to refocus on why you started your business in the first place, it can be the first step into relational harmony with your loved ones.

    95. Two Words to Ditch Forever Feb 21, 2022
    Show notes

How many times have you uttered the words should or need when talking about your network marketing business? I should post more, I should engage with more people. I need to hit the next rank, I need to create my systems. Have you ever noticed what feelings come up when you start with the shoulds and needs? If you’re being honest then I’m betting it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows.

The words should and need are two words Kristen thinks you can ditch, ASAP. The negative space you sit in when using these two words isn’t serving you, your team or your audience. Listen in as she explains how using should and need affects you and what it’s causing you to miss out on.

    Here are some highlights:

    • Why the word should invites guilt into your mindset
    • How “should language” robs us of being present and feeling joy in the moment
    • The connection between mom guilt and the words should and need
    • The emotions that come up when saying the word need
    • Why it’s important to meet your needs before your business needs in order to cut out the scarcity mindset that comes along with “I need”

It might seem silly to think that using two little words can have such a big impact on your mindset, but when you complete the thought that begins with “I need” or “I should” you can start to unravel and understand how it might be holding you back. Instead think of what you could be doing, or what you want instead of what you should or need.

    94. Selling the Business Feb 14, 2022
    Show notes

Recruiting others to join your team can often feel intimidating, especially if you haven’t sold yourself on your ability to lead. You might be thinking that you’re not qualified to lead a team until you hit a certain rank or spend more time tweaking your systems. But the truth is - you have everything you need to lead right where you are.

This week Kristen is talking about the stories you tell yourself about why you’re not selling the business and how to flip it around and start getting loud. You don’t need better systems or a bigger paycheck to rock as a leader. All you need is your belief in this business model and yourself.

Here are a few highlights from today’s episode:

    • Reasons you might be shying away from making bold offers
    • Why you should stop looking for a unicorn
    • What a powerful offer looks like
    • How to position yourself as a leader before you have a team

You don’t have to wait until you hit some predetermined milestone to start recruiting. All that time spent waiting can be better spent making bold offers to others who were once in your shoes. Something as little as $200 a month can be a transformative amount of money for lots of people, and you’re in a perfect position to introduce those people to this industry. Trust yourself and your skills and go out there and serve.

    93. Releasing Judgement Feb 07, 2022
    Show notes

How many of you have received cold messages from someone else in the industry and thought to yourself, that’s so gross? Little did you know that this tiny thought can open up a can of worms that can cause significant issues within your own business.

When the judgment of others and how they sell occupy space in your brain, it can often find its way into how you present your offers, leading to inaction over the fear of sounding gross or spammy. That’s why this week, Kristen is talking about releasing the judgment you have about other social sellers in order to show up for your audience consistently.

Listen in to learn about this week’s topics:

    • Examining your thoughts and stories surrounding how you like being sold to
    • Learning to have compassion for those still stuck in hustle culture
    • How to know when you’re in the judgment zone
    • The crisis caused by thinking there’s a right and wrong way to sell on social media
    • Finding things to learn from your sideline/upline, even if they sell differently than you

When we cast judgment on others for doing things ‘wrong’, it creates a divide within the network marketing community. Instead, learn to redirect these sellers with compassion instead of reprimanding in judgment. You can build a community in which we all belong when you learn to release your judgment.

    92. Labeling Your Leaders Jan 31, 2022
    Show notes

As January ends and we move into February, you might notice a change in the level of motivation of certain leaders on your team. It’s easy for some to get caught up in the excitement of setting big goals in the New Year, only for it to turn into inaction, frustration, and missed opportunities. And as their leader, it can be just as easy for you to label those members as someone who “doesn’t want it enough” or that they’re not doing enough,” which can lead to a spiral of negative emotions, judgement, and ineffective leadership.

In this week’s episode, Kristen talks about why labeling your leaders, no matter how innocent it may seem, can limit their potential to grow on your team.

If you want to become a more effective leader, listen in as Kristen dives into these topics:

    • The questions to ask to find your leader’s true ‘why’ to help them reach their goals
    • Understanding where your leaders are: growth vs. maintaining
    • Why it’s essential to hold your leaders accountable for creating their own buy-in
    • How to know the difference between setting expectations and setting standards of excellence

When you start taking things your team leaders do personally, it can mean that there are stories you’re telling yourself about your own leadership. Creating independent and self-reliant leaders takes time, and it all starts with you.

    89. Hobby Money Vs. Business Money Jan 17, 2022
    Show notes

If you’re like most social sellers, you joined this business model because you needed a way to make a few hundred dollars a month to make ends meet. And before you knew it, you started booking parties, making new friends, and growing a team. At some point along the way, this hobby turned into an actual business.

Now that you’re running a business, it’s time to start treating it like one instead of the hobby you started out with. And the best place to start is with your money.

Kristen is here this week to talk about the differences between hobby money and business money and the mindset shift that has to happen in order for your business to truly grow. Grab a pen and paper! You’re going to want to take notes.

    Here are a few takeaways:

    • At what point you should stop treating your business like a hobby
    • Importance of having a separate business checking account
    • Learning to leverage your time and energy in order to focus on income-producing activities
    • The difference between strategic debt and regular debt

More often than not, how you view money is based on your own personal beliefs. Learning to view money as a tool in order to grow and scale your business in a sustainable way will unlock potential you never knew you had.

    87. Upline or Leader Jan 10, 2022
    Show notes

Are you managing your team or are you leading your team? One will keep your business stagnant and you’ll be scrambling to keep up with your daily business and team’s needs. The other will allow you to trust yourself, your systems, and your people.

Many people think: when I make XYZ or when I hit my next rank up, I’ll become a leader in my business. But leadership doesn’t just magically come with a rank. You have to intentionally develop those skills and teach them to your team. Leaders aren’t born, leaders are made. The good news is that you can learn the skills to become a great leader!

Here are a few key takeaways:

    • The main differences between being an upline and a leader
    • Why many people suffer from imposter syndrome after a rank up
    • The reason a team hides from a manager and seeks out a leader
    • Why taking radical responsibility over your results is a key trait in a leader
    • Being a leader isn’t about rank or status-it’s an identity
    • How systems help you in your ability to lead your team

Stepping into the leadership role is one of the more challenging parts of growing your business. But if you master this skill, you will have more peace, more growth, and yes: more strong leaders on your team.
