Show notes Jamie Lynn NoonThe 63rd episode mixes rock and pop in an easy going BPM range of 121 to 158.
Many people who like to feel the beat while working out prefer to limit their sessions to fast walking, jogging, and light running. So here's an easy going 40 minute episode that maxes out at an easy-going running pace of 158 BPM. Feel free to send me some feedback at comments at jogtunes.com. If any tracks are too fast for you, change your pace or shorten your stride. The main thing is to run safe.

Running to waltzes is a unique, fun way to feel the beat. I've played several waltzes in the past and, in response to a recent request, I've included 2 new waltz tempo tunes in this episode. They're both sung by the awesome singer-songwriter, Jamie Lynn Noon, and run at 149 and 158 BPM.

I was checking out the latest artists listed by the fine promotion company, Cyber PR, and found more great walking and running music. By coincidence the artists all turned out to be men. So here is a bunch of guys with a bunch of great tunes for your workout enjoyment.

    Louinel Jean

And I have another special treat. Louinel Jean returns with a new master of his fine tune, "Imagine."

This is a 50 minute, mostly easy going session. But it gets fast as it progresses to the maximum BPM of 175.

The IODA's Promonet and Mevio's Music Alley and the generous artists supplied the tunes, and for that I'm grateful.

I've got 40 minutes of sequenced tunes in an interval pattern. It maxes out at 183 BPM to Grupo Socavon's "Homenaje a Justino." All of the tunes are provided by the Independent Online Distribution Alliance via promonet and, of course, through the generosity of the artists.

    58: (40 Min - Interval) - Reggae/Rock - Reggae Rocks - BPMs: 126-184 Jul 31, 2010
Show notes The Roast Beef Curtains The 58th episode serves up reggae and rock with a BPM range of 126 to 184. If any tracks are too fast for you, change your pace or shorten your stride. The main thing is to run safe.

    The Roast Beef Curtains

Reggae and Rock are probably the best genres for beat matched workouts. Blends of the 2 genres are emerging and that's to our benefit. The beat is unmistakable and motivating. I've got a great mix that features reggae, rock and some mashing of the two.

Several JTIP fans have mentioned that they like the interval running episodes, so here's another one. BPMs of 150s to 160s will be interspersed with speed bursts of short second segments of "Barbarella" at 184 by Loomis and the Lust. Their entire track will also appear at the end of this episode.

QBall is from Brooklyn, New York, and presents some impressive electronica to drive your workout. And A Study in Her (ASiH) brings from Philadelphia an equally awesome, somewhat more eclectic mix.

Welcome back to the new age. My first new age show was episode #31 and was called Think Positive. It was so well received that I decided to dedicate another episode to new age music. So here's a 45 minute session of new age sounds broken into the typical JTIP segments, a 30 minute sequenced regular running session followed by a 15 minute sequenced sprint section that maxes out at 184 BPM for 3 minutes.

Check out the track details, purchase options, and more info on this episode's podcast page.

    55: (40 Min - Interval) - Mo McMorrow - BPM Range 120-193 May 30, 2010
    Show notes

Singer-songwriter Mo McMorrow is joined by artist-friends Hedda Layne and Brett Low in this sequenced walk/run/walk workout. The BPM range is 120-193. If any tracks are too fast for you, change your pace or shorten your stride. The main thing is to run safe.

    Mo McMorrow
    Mo McMorrow

This month, serendipity reigns. While I was attending a Hedda Layne gig at the Belmont in Austin, Texas, Mo McMorrow was sitting at my table. It didn't take long to find out that she's a singer songwriter and well known on the Austin scene. I checked her tunes out on MySpace. They turned out to be great music by an impressive artist, and a perfect beat-matching runset. So here's a sequenced set of Mo's tunes with a taste of my other favorite Austin artists, Hedda Layne and Brett Low.

This is another interval running session. After some warming up and easy running, Mo's fast tune, "God Knows," will provide the interval 193 BPM, 90-second speed bursts. These will alternate with fast walks that can also be jogged slowly. A full length, uninterrupted version of "God Knows" appears at the end of the show. If you're not in shape for interval workouts, run these segments at a slower pace or shorten your stride. The most important thing is to run safe.

Check out the track details, purchase options, and more info on this episode's podcast page.

Also, please note that the workout session is approximately 40 minutes. The total episode time is 51 minutes due to the addition of full length versions of segmented and voiced-over tracks.
