Today we will be talking to Michelle who is interested in starting a wellness practice providing hormone replacement therapy and weight loss services. She is wanting to start this as a part-time practice while maintaining her part-time job. She has an amazing opportunity as she has little competition, but she is suffering from analysis paralysis and believes she needs to be 100% ready to finally open the doors. We discuss how you will never be 100% ready to start a business and that it is okay to only be 70% ready to get going in addition to creating a plan to get started.
Today we will be talking to Tracie who is a family nurse practitioner and is working part-time in the ER while also teaching full-time. She is wanting to start her own part-time practice but is lacking direction on where to start and what she wants to do. She is suffering from analysis paralysis and needs help as she is at a standstill. We end up creating a plan on how to break free from the paralysis so she can get her practice up and running, which will bring her one step closer to financial freedom.
Today we will be talking to Susan who is a nurse practitioner that recently got off disability and is now wanting to get back into practice but on her terms! Susan is interested in starting a women's health clinic focused on hormone replacement therapy and weight loss. She is wanting to start this as a small part-time practice at first and allow it to grow organically. We go over the process of getting this part-time practice off the ground and Susan leaves the call empowered to get started so she can shape her own professional trajectory.
Today we will be speaking to Bumni who is a nurse practitioner that currently owns a primary care practice. She is wanting to grow her practice as it has been on the slow side over the past year. She is needing assistance with marketing her practice as her patient volume has not been increasing in any significant fashion. She is also needing help with integrating additional services lines into her practice to increase her revenue. We find out that the biggest issue Bumni is having in her business is that she has not adequately identified her target market, which is decreasing her practices marketing effectiveness.
Today we will be talking to Kiawana who is a family nurse practitioner that started a wellness mobile side practice that she recently transitioned to a brick-and-mortar practice. Kiawana has also been working full time at a primary care practice during this process. She is looking for assistance on how to get her brick-and-mortar business off the ground correctly and wants to know what NOT TO DO. She is needing help with marketing and staffing her practice, so it succeeds. We conclude that investing back into your business is critically important for its growth and that you need to learn how to delegate tasks appropriately if you truly want to build a high revenue practice.
Today we will be talking to Rita who is needing assistance picking a niche idea for her side business and overcoming the fear of diving in. Rita is interested in starting a men’s health and/or wellness practice but is unsure if it is a good idea in her area. She thinks certain services are saturated in her area but is not confident enough that the services she wants to provide will do well. She has limiting beliefs about herself and is also having outside influences preventing her from venturing on her own. We go over her ideas and I provide her advice on how she should navigate her particular situation.
Today we will be talking to Crystal who recently started a weight loss and hormone replacement therapy clinic after realizing she was making others rich instead of herself. She is currently going through the process of building her practice and obtaining new patients. She is having issues with obtaining new patients through her marketing efforts. Her advertising budget is low and she believes this is the issue holding her back. We discuss various strategies on how to grow her practice and most importantly of all, we cover the realistic expectations of the growth of a part-time business.
Today we will be talking to Veronica who is a nurse practitioner located in Maryland. She operates a mobile practice where she is predominately seeing home bound Medicare patients. She is only profiting $700 a week after 5 years and is working her tail off. She is needing help becoming more efficient with charting and is looking to increase her businesses revenue. By the end of the episode, a plan is developed to integrate more services into her practice which will hopefully improve her bottom line!
Today we will be talking to Shawnna who is looking to start a small men's health side business while continuing to work full time. She is needing assistance with the innerworkings of the practice, marketing, and overcoming the fear of providing treatments that are considered "off label."
