The Confused Breakfast

Latest Episodes:

Ghost Rider (2007) Feb 19, 2025

Show notes

Ghost Rider gives us Nic Cage riding a possessed motorcycle with his skull on fire. This has to be the best movie of all-time right? Well…. spoilers- someone on this episode calls this the worst Marvel movie ever. It’s not great but the conversation around it is hilarious. Enjoy!

Three Amigos! (1986) Feb 12, 2025

Show notes

One for each other and all for one! The brave Confused Breakfast are we! Three Amigos gave us the dynamic duo of Steve-Martin-Short. Did this give us the best Chevy Chase as a 3rd wheel performance? Does Martin Short steal the show in his first major role? Is "My Little Buttercup" the best song ever written. We’re just going to assume this is the singing bush.. so say your chant and fire your pistol STRAIGHT UP IN THE AIR!

BRUNCH: The Invisible Raptor Feb 10, 2025

Show notes

So we got turned on to a special movie that is generating some buzz. Sean Astin and Sandy Martin listed on the cast made us turn our heads. The description of the movie made us immediately press play and we were glad we did! We highly recommend this flick! Sean Prior got a chance to sit down with the writers/directors to chat about the film. This is a fun conversation about a fun movie. See the description below and tell us you don't want to see it!

The Invisible Raptor- http://invisibleraptor.com

An invisible raptor goes on a killing spree after a top-secret experiment goes wrong. Now, it's up to a disgraced paleontologist, his ex-girlfriend, a security guard and a chicken farmer to save their small town from the creature's ravenous rampage.

Iron Eagle (1986) Feb 05, 2025

Show notes

Picture this- your dad is captured by a fake country. You have never flown an F-16 by yourself before. Using a rag-tag group of friends, all under the age of 18, you figure out how to rescue him on your own, while demonstrating how vulnerable US Air Force bases are and committing serious war crimes deserving of jail time in multiple countries. None of it possible without the cassette player strapped to your knee blasting "One Vision" by Queen.

It's something only 80s kids can believe.

Super Troopers (2002) Jan 29, 2025

Show notes

Is this the most-quoted movie in history? In the early 2000’s, you couldn’t go anywhere without hearing someone say, “meow” or “you boys like Mexicoooo.” This movie captured our hearts back then with it’s non-stop laughs and quotes but when is the last time you watched it with a critical eye? Does this movie actually hold up by today’s standards? Join us as we review Super Troopers with a modern lens!

Show notes

Time to pack up the family and forcefully make them sit through a Colorado winter nightmare in a haunted hotel so you can try to not fail at writing. The Shining will show us the darker side of getting snowed in. It’s not all cuddles and cocoa. Heeeeeere’s JOHNNY! Come play with us….

Demolition Man (1993) with Gareth Reynolds Jan 22, 2025

Show notes

Our good friend Gareth Reynolds is back as a special guest, so you know we had to pick a banger of a movie to review. Demolition Man gives us everything we could ever want in a movie. Cryo-prisons, underground rat-burger restaurants, no physical touch, Taco Bells on every corner, Los Angeles in perfect harmony, seashells for toilet paper. Sounds like the ideal future to us and this episode is hilarious. Enjoy!
