216: The Truth About Your Triggers Dec 29, 2020
    Show notes

Last call for Diet Culture Drop Out. It will not be available after the 1st of the year. Grab it here for 20% off using the code "theconfidenceproject" at checkout. __________________ You know how when someone makes a comment about your body and your face instantly gets hot and you get that sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach? Yeah. We're going to talk about what that means. Triggers are actually our greatest teachers. It's not for the faint of heart, but the way I see it is we have two options: we can live a life devoid of being triggered (no growth) or we can woman-up and lean into the things that trigger us and allow them to teach us (growth.) Growth is painful, there's no denying that, and so we have a choice: stay stuck by avoiding the discomfort of growth or getting curious and leaning into the discomfort. This episode is all about our triggers- what it means when we're triggered and how to navigate the messiest parts of ourselves with courage and vulnerability. (Brene Brown would 100% approve of this message, ha!)

[biz 45] always short on time? listen to this Dec 18, 2020
    Show notes

Ever feel like you don't have enough time? Yes- the entrepreneur's greatest asset (time) always seems to be running short. There's never enough to go around and at the end of the day, you realize that you're functioning at 20% at best. Your clients get most of your time, your Instagram game gets the rest of your time, and everything and everyone else just kinda goes wherever there's small windows, right? Something like that. I know you built a business so that you can have more freedom. But if you're anything like me, you built a business without any respect for your time or energy. It's a tough hole to crawl out of. But it has to be done. Making more time has to become a priority for you, or your business will work against you. It'll rob you of your peace and sanity, and you'll end up resenting your business (and sometimes even your clients) because of it. KNOW THIS: not having enough time is a SYMPTOM. Is it not the cause of anything. When we know that being short on time is a symptom, we have to take a step back and look at what's causing that to be true. This episode looks at lack of time from a business model perspective, but the exercise I walk you through can be applied to any true cause of the "lack of time" symptom even if your business model isn't your particular cause to being short on time. There may be a moment in your business where some of these shifts you pursue make you feel like you're free falling. It is scary, but it's totally normal. Remember this: you started a business because you're brave. So you have what it takes to make these shifts no matter how scary they may feel. You can do it. I know you can :)

[Biz 43] Asking Better Questions to Land More Sales Nov 24, 2020
    Show notes

Someone sends you a DM. They want want to work with you! You freak out with excitement then word vomit all over them about what's inside, how much it costs, and send them a link to sign up. Crickets. OR.

They're like "Ok cool, I'll think about it." And you never hear from them again. You might even circle back to them later, and they leave you on "seen." What went wrong? This episode will walk you through exactly how to handle inquiries that come your way so that you can stop scaring them away.

    [biz 42] Don't Charge Your Worth Nov 04, 2020
    Show notes

213: How to Feel In Control Around All Foods Nov 02, 2020
    Show notes

Grab Diet Culture Drop Out for 20% off by going here. Use the code: theconfidenceproject at check out. This is where you're going to get stuck- so this is what you need to start with. Up until this point, we've laid the ground work for Intuitive Eating (start at episode 209 and work your way through from there!) & now we're getting into the nitty gritty of it all. And this step will make or break you. I can guarantee that all of the ways you've tried to "control" yourself around food have NOT been done in this way, and that's exactly why you still feel like you can't have certain foods in your house. Here's how you know you have food freedom: you can keep any food, in any amounts in your home at all times and not think twice about them. The candy can be out in plain sight, the chips can be on the countertops, and you can take it or leave it without any second thought, zero binge episodes, zero guilt, zero shame. Imagine a world in which you can just eat and enjoy it and... move on? Yeah. That's what eating is supposed to be like. Imagine not having to barter with yourself each time you eat something you enjoy. Not having to track it, weigh it, calculate something, or have some sort of come to Jesus talk with yourself about how you'll "handle it tomorrow" by "getting back on track." That's what food freedom is.

[biz 41] Reactive vs Proactive Business Ownership Oct 22, 2020
    Show notes

Join the Biz Beehive (it's free!) Do you keep email on your phone and check it multiple times a day whenever you're filling time gaps?

How about your DMs? Who decides when you're working? Your audience? Your clients? Or you? Who sources your ideas for content? You? Your ideal clients? Or the dumb things people say who aren't your ideal clients? Are you creating content in reaction to other things or are you creating content that your ideal client needs to hear/see today?

Running a reactive business is a great way to burn yourself out and consistently be at the whim of everyone else. Running a proactive business means you're doing what's best for you in such a way that also serves others. No brainer, right?

Today's episode will help you decide if you're running a reactive business or a proactive business.

212: Spotting Sneaky Diet Culture Oct 15, 2020
    Show notes

Episode 4 of the Intuitive Eating series is here! One of the pillars of Intuitive Eating centers around rejecting the diet mentality.

But... if you're not even sure what the diet mentality sounds like, how can you reject it?

The problem is that "the diet mentality" is so ever present in our days that it can be hard to spot.

I know this because I have women in my Instagram DMs almost every day saying things like: "I've been Intuitive Eating and it's so wonderful! Thank you so much for all of your work! My partner continues to eat crap, how can I help them?"

And it's like..... you do realize that's literally a statement rooted in the diet mentality, right?

The truth is, many women are just not aware of what constitutes as the diet mentality.

It can also be super sneaky!

You know that Instagram influencer who's bio says: "I help you ditch dieting for good!" and then her posts in her feed are all like "you can manifest your DREAM BODY and look like THIS!" Yeah... that's a diet.

Did you know that even saying "I'm eating healthy today!" is also steeped in the diet mentality?

    Yes. It is.

This episode breaks it all down for you and is full of golden nuggets in between!

    Things like:

-->how "eating good" can cause a binge.

--> how dieting slows down your metabolism.

--> no, you're not in starvation mode.

--> what happens when you even think about "eating better." --> how the most predictable form of future weight gain is previous weight loss attempts.

You're not going to want to miss this episode. Trust me.

You can grab Diet Culture Drop Out, my self-paced Intuitive Eating Course for 20% off when you use the code: theconfidenceproject

    Grab it here.
