This is a really special episode because my guest today is my Mom, Margarita Ortiz!

She is going to be sharing her story with us. She's been a single mother who has struggled her whole life with bi- polar disorder and she has done a lot of work on herself and has completely transformed her life.

My Mom and I have faced challenges and struggles in our relationship, parent- child relationships are tricky!

Our childhoods and the way we were raised affects us and shapes who we become as adults. So if truly we want to understand ourselves… why we have blocks and the complicated relationships that we have with the people who raised us, we need to first understand our parents and have compassion for their story.

My Mom is my hero, she never gave up on me and she helped shape who I am today. I'm so excited to share with you who Margie is, her story, her background and the experiences that made her the woman she is today.

I recently asked my Instagram audience to tell me what they wanted to hear on the podcast and I got this question a few times.

I had many "failed" relationships before my marriage to Hamish and each of them taught me so much about MYSELF and how I was treating me.
Today I share how you can start to build trust and create an incredible romantic relationship that lights you up and fulfils you.
It is possible to find DEEP, lasting love. I have it and I never thought I would.

How I Made $500K on Instagram with a Small Audience Apr 30, 2022

In 2018, my husband Hamish and I were broke. Some weeks we couldn’t afford the basics, let alone little luxuries. I even found myself scrounging around the backseat of my car, trying to get enough change to buy a loaf of bread.

It was in the shower one afternoon when I had an epiphany – it was the ‘aha’ moment that led to me finally pursuing my dream of becoming a confidence coach.

So I started with what I had … the fire and passion to show up and create the community and connections I desired.

When Friendship Gets Tricky Apr 18, 2022

Today's episode is on a topic a lot of my listeners have requested I talk about… FRIENDSHIPS!

So many of us struggle with balancing friendships, especially as we grow and evolve.

We think we are not supposed to shift friends or let go of friendships that no longer serve.

This simply isn't true, as we change and shift so will friendships and sometimes we have to let some friends go.

I've found that a lot of us really struggle with communicating clearly what is happening for us as we grow and other people around us are not. And then things can get a bit tricky..

Feelings can get hurt, resentments can build, and assumptions can be made.

When we find ourselves in the position of having outgrown a friendship it is our responsibility to communicate clearly and to take a step back and assess how and why we attracted these friends into our lives.

The Relationship With My Mother Apr 04, 2022

In today's episode, I am unpacking a bit about the relationship with my mom.

If you’ve been listening to the podcast you know me and mama have had a rough ride

Dealing with her illness, my foster homes, and everything in between

However I realize that I haven’t shared recent news about the relationship my mother and I have

And we’ve healed so much together.

I haven’t seen her in almost 3 years and in April 2022 she’s coming to Australia

I thought it would be such a great time to interview my mum for the first time on the podcast so she can share her story of raising her daughter as a single mother battling bipolar

My mother is my hero and she is a woman I look up to for her strength and determination and I believe I learned a lot of that strength from her

I know this episode will resonate with you whether you are a mother or not because I dive deep into our personal relationship and the emotional side of what we went through as mother-daughter

The Gift in Your Pain Mar 28, 2022

Do you spend much time thinking about your past and your pain? Do you wonder why you went through those experiences?

Or do you actively try to control, alt, delete those experiences?

In today’s episode, I want to invite you to mine the gold in your difficulties.

To find the gifts in your pain and struggles.

When we do this we are able to fully heal and extract the incredible life lessons we’ve experienced from the toughest of circumstances.

And each and every one of us has them.

No matter how big or small, the adversities you’ve faced have amazing gifts in them.

I know that it’s hard, scary, and uncomfortable to sit in your painful experiences…

And these lessons are unfortunately missed when we don’t claim them.

I invite you in this episode to really look at all the gifts that your pain brings, who have you become BECAUSE of it?

How has that difficulty made you who you are today? What lessons have you learned because of those tough times?

You already lived it – might as well get the reward from it, Queen.
