    Tracheometry - Ep. 186 Mar 31, 2020
    Show notes

Tough and strange times we are living in, people. There is no sugarcoating it. There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the future, and gaming is not an exception to that. E3 was cancelled, there are rumors of delays of video games, developers are having to work from home, etc. Like all of us, the gaming industry is also being affected by the current events.

This week on the Chompcast, we attempted to discuss and predict what the future holds for the gaming industry post-Covid-19. Don’t fret, however, as we managed to squeeze in plenty of gaming talk, as we spoke about our Doom Eternal and Animal Crossing: New Horizons experiences. We used your comments to bounce off of for the topic of the show, and we revealed the results of the polls for this week.

We love you all. Please stay safe out there.

Whew. This week’s episode was loooooooong. We discussed Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Doom Eternal, Animal Crossing New Horizons, Call of Duty Warzone, and Murder by Numbers. Lastly, we vented our frustrations about the current situation.

A few reminders: please make sure you wash your hands, disinfect your house thoroughly, do not go outside unless necessary, and take care of your mental health during this time.

    Sword Chomp Q and A - Ep. 184 Mar 17, 2020
    Show notes

    Me. Myself. I.

Usually, we are a gaming podcast. Usually, we try to infuse some gaming-related topic into our show. Usually, we have played games and we discuss them on the show.

But this week, we were tired of it. Yes, we were selfish in this episode and we decided to talk about us ALL EPISODE LONG.

And if you thought that it couldn't get any worse, we asked our Patrons to supply us with a hearty serving of self-indulgent questions.

This week's episode was a window into the hosts' lives, allowing the subscribers and listeners to get to know us on a more personal level and giving Rich the proper background that he has needed since joining us. But what show would be complete without a few social media polls to spice it up?! We hope that you enjoy this unusual episode for us. Be sure to tune back in next week, where we will be discussing Ori 2, Doom Eternal, and some Animal Crossing!

    Itchy Lawn - Ep. 183 Mar 11, 2020
    Show notes

Wind swept through the landscape. A large tumbleweed blew from the west to the east, a scene far too familiar to a Western movie aficionado. In the distance, murmurings of nerds and reporters battled the wind, attempting to be heard. Fluorescent lighting beaded down from overhead, illuminating the carpeted floor. It was perfectly clean, as no footsteps had tread on it for quite some time.

A sneaker came into view as it stepped onto the floor, making a slight squeak as it groaned in protest. The sneaker had seen better days, stepping on floors in its youth and plodding down paths previously unknown. It knew that its life was close to ending, but it still held on for a little while longer.

Both sneakers pushed forward, thrusted onward by the man wearing them. He was covered in a hazmat suit and helmet, looking at the barren show floor. He held his camera phone in one hand as he panned around, showing the nothing that existed here.

“As you can see, the company that was supposed to be here skipped,” the man started. “Yes, I am surprised that they didn’t show up. Shame on…”

This week on the Chompcast, Rich returns to us (don’t you EVER leave me again, Rich) from PAX East to regale us in his experiences. The four of us discuss the new FF7 Remake demo. Shea talks about his time with The Last of Us, finally catching up to the modern world. And, as always, we wrap up the show with some riveting polls. Catch it while it’s hot!

    Meat and Potatoes - Ep. 177 Jan 28, 2020
    Show notes

    "Damn you achievement! Damn....yoooooooooouuuuuuuu!"

    "It's Trophy."

"Whateverthehellyouare! Damn you!!!" the gamer exclaimed.

He sat on his couch, feverishly tapping away at his controller and moving the joystick with intent. He knew that his time grew near and that he must make a move now or he wouldn't have another opportunity. Shapes and colors flashed on the screen, challenging him and bringing him to the brink. Sweat and dirt beaded from his brow. He desperately needed a Biore pad (not sponsored). His shirt was soaked and torn, due to not leaving his La-z-boy chair in days (again, not sponsored) and the fabric rubbing against the cloth repeatedly. He panted heavily in exasperation, mainly from eating his twelfth helping of chocolate too quickly and having a near-choking incident.

Suddenly, he grabbed the controller tighter and yelled at his TV in fervent determination. He began to grunt, and an aura appeared around him. It seemed as if the area around him would combust with his sheer power and intensity! His power soared to unbelievable heights (though some rumors say it was over nin-). The room reeked of his insane willpower, as the---

    PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFfffffffffffffffffffffftPLOP!

The man farted in his aggravated state that resulted in a shart. He paused his game, feeling a slight embarrassment as he felt his soiled undergarments rubbing against his epidermis.

    "You've won this time, Trophy."

This week on the Chompcast, we discussed our thoughts and feelings about Sony skipping E3. Is it setting a bad trend or was it an inevitability that companies would start controlling their own advertising? We also discussed your thoughts regarding the same question. Rich talks about some game that involves yelling, grunting, and throwing light at each other (Dragon Ball Z Kakarot). We, of course, address our super ultra important polls. We wrap up the show by shouting out those beautiful fans of ours that support us on Patreon!
