Really Really Ridiculously Good Looking - Ep. 167 Nov 19, 2019
    Show notes

This week we are joined by Rich Meister of Geckowild. We discuss Death Stranding, whether great games have to be divisive, some of Rich's favorite games of 2019, and our first thoughts on Pokemon Sword and Shield. We will be back next week with tales of Shea's latest conquest (spoiler, this time it's human).

    Ineffable - Ep. 166 Nov 11, 2019
    Show notes

This week turned out to be more monstrous than we could have imagined. Content rained down upon our heads. We first discussed the notion that games need to be “fun.” Next, we got out our first impressions of Death Stranding, we wrapped up our final thoughts on Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and Josh talked about Later Alligator. Morgan brought the Instagram polls and Shea brought the Patreon poll to the discussion as well. If you like the show, give us a thumbs up like Norman Reedus so we don’t fade away into obscurity.

    Kerfluffle - Ep. 164 Oct 29, 2019
    Show notes

Morgan was at the local outdoor swimming pool catching some rays. He felt the sun beaming down on his pale dad bod, bronzing and burning it simultaneously. His eyes were closed as he alternated between relaxing with nothing in his mind and thinking of 10 jokes about Fish’s penis as fast as he could. A smile widened from ear to ear as he made himself chuckle frequently.

    “HEY!”

Morgan opened his eyes and jolted up from laying down, looking to where the loud voice boomed from. He saw a man standing right in front of him with an angry gaze. The man’s fists were balled and his chest was flared. He wasn’t a particularly large man, but Morgan felt a bit intimidated nonetheless. Morgan didn’t know how to fight, and it worried him that the man clearly was looking for one.

“Hey! I’m talking to you, ya jerk. You’re lying in my spot!”

Morgan let out an involuntary chuckle as he said, “I’ve been here for almost two hours. There’s no way this was your spot”

“Oh, so now you’re gonna call me a liar?”

Morgan looked to defuse the situation, as he didn’t want to fight or get arrested. He quizzically stated, “I honestly don’t know what you want. I’m not looking for any problems. I’ve been here since the pool opened.”

“I’ll tell you what I want. I want to settle this now. Get your fat butt up!”

Morgan, offended, blurted out, “I’m not getting into a kerfluffle with you.”

The man looked incredulously at Morgan and scoffed. “Don’t you mean kerfuffle?”

Morgan continued, “No a kerfluffle. A donnybrook. A foofaraw. A helter-skelter,” he read from his phone as he slid his screen for more words.

The man laughed uproariously and said, “That’s kerfuffle, not fluffle. Ya idiot.”

The man walked off laughing, leaving Morgan to ponder what just happened.

This week on the Chompcast, we had a ton to get to on our agenda. A show topic, a multitude of games, the social media polls, Patreon shout-outs, Patreon news, and more. Get yourself ready for our longest show of the year to date!

    Chomping After Dark - Ep. 1 - Borderlands 3 Oct 22, 2019
    Show notes

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the first episode of our brand new podcast, where we take a deep dive into a video game. We talk about video games on a deeper level than we are able to on the Chompcast and we discuss spoilers, something we have been wanting to do for quite some time. This will in no way affect the content of the Chompcast. It just allows us the ability to discuss the story in detail without revealing major parts to more casual audiences. The first episode of this podcast was on the highly popular game, Borderlands 3. There are spoilers. I repeat, there are spoilers. Chomping After Dark will not normally be on this feed. We actually took this week off from recording, as Morgan celebrated his anniversary and Shea had work duties to tend to. Chomping After Dark will be a podcast that will be offered to our Patreons starting in November. We wanted to fill the void while also offering the first episode for all. We hope that you enjoy.

    Shepherd Like a Sherpa - Ep. 163 Oct 14, 2019
    Show notes

This week on the Chompcast, we asked ourselves the question: is having access to so much art during this golden age making it less incredible? Fish and Morgan talked about getting back into Destiny 2. Josh talked about some of the games that he played in the Apple Arcade. Lastly, we went through the results of the social media polls and a listener email!

    Sex Derringer - Ep. 162 Oct 08, 2019

Exclusion is a feeling or a state most, if not all, people don't enjoy. Getting denied entry into a prestigious country club. Getting denied entry into a club because you're underdressed. Getting denied entry to the rodeo because you didn't say enough "yee-haws" when you walked through the entrance.

On the other hand, some people enjoy showing off their exclusivity, residing in a small cluster of people that have access to a commodity. The feeling that you are important, if you will.

How does the feeling and state of exclusivity affect gaming? This is the topic we tackled this week as we discussed console and PC exclusivity on this week's episode. We also talked more Link's Awakening and Borderlands 3, among others. Start off this spooky month right and carve your way into the newest episode of the Chompcast!

    Einstein Genius - Ep. 161 Oct 02, 2019
    Show notes

You enter the vault, unsure of what you would find. Your journey was almost near its end. You had been travelling across planets, fighting everywhere. You were about to bring this adventure to its conclusion. Just one final test. A clap trap wheeled itself up to you eagerly. You looked down at the cute and matte robot, ever curious.

It looked up at you with its mechanic eye. A voice suddenly emanated from it:

    “Will you…”

It trailed off, struggling to get the words out.

    You leaned down in concern.

    “Will….you…s-s-s….”

You began to rub the top of it, attempting to provide moral support.

    “Yes, clap trap?”

    “W-w-will you….s-s-suck my balls?”

This week on the Chompcast, we wanted to talk about humor in video games. Does it work for you? Is it effective? After that, we got a ton of gaming in: Untitled Goose Game, Control, Borderlands 3, and the Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening remaster. We snuck in some reminiscing on Medievil in preparation for its imminent release. We released the results of the social media polls, and we wrapped up the show by saying thank you to all of our wonderful Patrons, both new and old.

Borderlands 3 has hit! The world is gleeful and in awe. It also prompted our topic for the week: being okay with games that are essentially the same with slight additions. A bunch of fans sent in their opinions on it, as well as the social media polls. We got a ton of gaming talk in, discussing Final Fantasy 8 remaster, Gears 5, and Blasphemous. Come check it out, and then get to lootin’!
