We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS Forget Juneteenth, July 4th and Covid-19... hoards of White Women are storming the streets to protest the Supreme Court ruling to overturn the Roe v. Wade decision on abortion. Once again, Race Soldiers used this moment to Racially Showcase Justice Clarence Thomas, as though he's in charge of the court and made all the (mostly White) judges make a decision to his liking. The SCOTUS had other rulings this week. They also decided against New York State's legal prohibition on the concealed carry of firearms. The "empire state" was already having robust dialog about increased gun violence and crime in New York City as well as last month's White Terrorist attack in Buffalo, which left 10 black residents dead. In Belgium, White officials agreed to send the remains of former Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba back to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Lumumba was assassinated in 1961 - and his remains were deliberately hidden. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly summit on Neutralizing Workplace Racism. Earlier this year, a black mother told us about her son's first job and the trials and tribulations of the workplace for black children. Last week, 'Irie in Louisiana' shared her frustrations about her child's unsafe work environment. The most difficult job in the known universe is attempted parenting for so called black people. One of the paramount responsibilities of black mothers and fathers is to speak with your children about Racism on the job. Share some of your personal experiences with your daughters and sons. Many of this week's participants shared a variety of tacky workplace situations that necessitated them telling a White person: NO. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 6th study session on Catherine Pelonero's 2017 publication, Absolute Madness: A True Story of a Serial Killer, Race, and a City Divided. We just recognized 7 years since the Charleston, South Carolina Terrorist attack on Mother Emanuel AME church, where nine black worshipers were killed. Gracyn Doctor, daughter of the Rev. DePayne Middleton-Doctor, one of the nine people murdered, recently said we seem to be forgetting the South Carolina and more recent May 2022 Buffalo shootings already. Seeing as practically no one remembers the black males butchered in 1980 Buffalo and New York state, Gracyn has reason for concern. Last week, Pelonero detailed the black frustration and anger with no arrests made after the savage killings of 6 black males. The White author included notes penned by a Race Soldiers who cheered on the murders and hoped more blacks would be killed. In December of 1980, the "Midtown Slasher" stabbed six dark skin males (mostly black), killing four of them. White enforcement officials in Manhattan and Buffalo pondered if the same White Man was responsible for all of these killings/attacks. Near the end of the 1980 calendar year, a black person told a Newsweek reporter: "When you pick up the newspaper and read about this black being killed here and another black being killed there, it does something to your psyche, something bad. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Eric Bryan Stone. His website says he "was raised in the epitome of 'White America,'" Neely Fuller Jr.'s Oklahoma. Stone said he ditched the rural highlands to trot the globe with his pops. Now, Stone has amassed a sizeable "online" following for his "condemnation of racism and the 'white narrative.' We'll ask what Mr. Stone does to solve The Problem and how he helps non-white people get a better understanding of White Supremacy/Racism. Mr. Stone departed abruptly after sixty minutes and buckets and buckets and buckets of metaphors. He refused to directly answer many of Gus's questions and presented a plethora of logical fallacies - much of it centering around Whites being ignorant about Racism. In South Carolina, Roof's home state, an 8-year old black child, Quarius Naqua Dunham, was shot to death during the Memorial Day festivities. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly summit on Neutralizing Workplace Racism. We barely survived Memorial Day and may not live to see Independence Day. In the interim, we'll have to make do with Juneteenth. A number of Whites have already voice their stringent opposition to this event becoming a paid federal holiday. If this day is "recognized" on your job, be prepared for tackiness and heaps of direct Racism. Kente cloth napkins, Wal-Mart's Juneteenth sorbet and buckets of fried chicken. We'll also revisit Covid-19 impact on the workplace. It may seem like things are back to "normal;" however, that is not the case. In Oregon, a number of White enforcement officials rejected all policies to ensure a safe working environment. They refused the mandatory vaccine and also flaunted regular testing requirements for unvaccinated staff. This sort of misconduct has been widespread for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the fifth study session on Catherine Pelonero's 2017 publication, Absolute Madness: A True Story of a Serial Killer, Race, and a City Divided. Since we started this book, Buffalo's most recent White Terrorist, Payton Gendron, was charged with 10 counts of first degree murder and one count of a Domestic Act of Terrorism Motivated by Hate in the First Degree. The latter charge is unprecedented in New York state history. Last week, we heard about a cross burning on the east side of Buffalo in 1980. Pelonero quotes enforcement officials who said they concluded black people ignited the fire to add to the conflict around the killings of black males. Many black people in the Buffalo area did not "turn the other cheek." Pelonero describes how numerous black residents confronted unfamiliar White people, launched rocks at passing White motorists, and even killed a White Man, Terence Mills. Jesse Jackson Sr. visited west New York in October of 1980 to appeal for calm and encourage black people to vote. We also heard important details about the killing and mutilation of Ernest "Shorty" Jones. Witnesses said two White men voiced disgust with Jones having a White girlfriend. The Context of White Supremacy host Gus T. Renegade shares his views after thirteen years of attempted counter-racist broadcasting. For duration of this time on the air, and with strict enforcement the past two years, Gus has always preferred speaking to individuals classified as White. Neely Fuller Jr.'s code book offers questions and suggestions for talking to Suspected Racists - the experts on White Supremacy. Our most recent broadcast with Dr. Shawn Lay is a marvelous illustration of why Gus T. loathes speaking with other Victims of Racism. With a self-professed "expert" White man on the broadcast, non-white listeners interrupted Gus T. and the White guests. Then a non-white listener dialed in with zero questions for Dr. Lay, who admitted to being in a #TragicArrangement He chastised Gus for not employing "sweetness" with White guests and accused me of sitting in the "seat of privilege." #Metaphors This spectator made it clear that he did not love his black brother Gus, he announced that he "identifies" with The Man. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Dr. Shawn Lay. An emeritus history professor at Coker College in South Carolina, Dr. Lay studies Ku Klux Klan activity and the history of Racism in the United States. Gus discovered his 1995 publication, Hooded Knights on the Niagara: The Ku Klux Klan in Buffalo, New York, while preparing to speak with Anna Blatto. With Payton Gendron's most recent White Terrorist attack at an east Buffalo Tops grocery store, Gus thought Dr. Lay's book should be plastered on media outlets nationwide, along with Joseph G. Christopher's reign of terrorism, to provide accurate historical context. That has not happened. We'll discuss the highly educated, well-to-do White Men who joined the notorious terrorist organization, and we'll highlight the continuity between the KKK concerns of a century ago to the current-day gripes of Payton Gendron and Whites collectively. Interestingly, very early in the text, Dr. Lay reveals that he is married to a "woman of color." And a non-white listener suggested Gus incorporate a bit more "sweetness" when speaking with White guests.
