We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. This weekly broadcast examines current events from across the globe to learn what's happening in all areas of people activity. We cultivate Counter-Racist Media Literacy by scrutinizing journalists' word choices and using logic to deconstruct what is reported as "news." We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of terms as tools to reveal truth, neutralize Racists/White people. #ANTIBLACKNESS 2023 looks very similar to most other years in the System of White Supremacy from the US perspective. Daily gun battles throughout the land. 11 people (perhaps all of them non-white people/ Victims of Racism) were shot to death at a Monterey Park, California dance studio. The alleged gunman, reportedly a non-white male, is reported to have taken his own life. Also in California, 7 people were killed in Half Moon Bay. Again, most of the victims appear to be classified as not White. The shooter was arrested and is also classified as non-white. Most US attention remained focus on Memphis, Tennessee and the police beating and killing of 29-year-old Tyre Nichols. All of the officers who participated in the beating and killing have been terminated from the police department and charged with murder. All of the officers are classified as black males. The Fraternal Order of Police does not "have their back." The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly summit on Neutralizing Workplace Racism. Next week is the late Carter G. Woodson's beloved Black History Month. Many workplaces will have a host of tacky events, fried chicken jamborees, and watermelon and diversity soirées. Skip 'em if you can. Keep quiet and sober if you're required to attend. Rampant tech layoffs continue - with a hefty amount of non-white workers constituting the "first fired." We'll hear about the FBI's "Operation Nightingale," which targeted a multi-state criminal fraud syndicate that provides counterfeit nursing certifications and credentials. Reports indicate thousands of "fake nurses" may be gainfully employed, and they've not been able to identify and properly charge these fiends. Gus strongly suspects these imposter health care workers are mostly (if not exclusively) classified as White. We also discussed how non-white people can safely support other non-white co-workers without creating problems for anyone. The C. O. W. S. Mário Filho's The Black Man in Brazilian Soccer Part 3 #PELÉ Jan 26, 2023

The Katherine Massey Book Club @ The C.O.W.S. hosts the 3rd study session on Mário Filho's 1947 The Black Man in Brazilian Soccer, translated to English by Jack A. Draper III. Brazilian football (soccer) legend Pelé died near the end of 2022 at the age of 82. The only player to win 3 World Cup Championships and voted "Athlete of the 20th Century" according to many White journalists and historians, Pelé is classified as black and was born in 1940, a measly 52 years after Brazil abolished formal enslavement of black people in 1888. Racists didn't even allow black people to play football/soccer in Brazil for many decades. We'll learn about the System of White Supremacy in South America and one of the greatest athletes of any sport. Listeners should be mindful that Brazil just endured riots and violent protests after a contentious presidential election. The scene was eerily similar to the 2021 mayhem on January 6th in Washington, D.C. Former President Jair Bolsonaro is being investigated for instigating the conflict. During last week's installment, we heard continued insistence from Filho that skin color became less prominent with time and the "democratization" of Brazil and football/soccer. This has to be a willful lie because Filho also describes how young black boys were only allowed on the smaller ball clubs and the "affluent" White clubs relocated to the "suburbs." We also heard how Catholic priests demanded that Brazilian children play soccer. Gus strongly suspects the "ball game" was a ruse to rape children. Importantly, the author describes the soccer balls used as being large and constructed of tough, black ox leather. The children called the ball "HAIRY" because of the stubborn ox hairs that wouldn't turn loose. 20th century journalists felt squeamish about writing the word "ball" when covering the football matches. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Dr. Lorna Durrant. The Assistant Professor in the School of Education and the Program Lead for the Child and Family Studies degree at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, Dr. Durrant’s research agenda includes "interracial" families, parent-child relationships, parenting education, and racial socialization. Born in St. Catherine's, Jamaica, we'll hear about her black parents's struggles with diabetes - which led to her father, Derrick Durrant, dying at the age of 56. #BlackMalePrivilege We'll discuss her fascinating research on White Fathers with non-white offspring and their alleged concerns about how their offspring will be mistreated in the System of White Supremacy. Dr. Durrant said she was motivated to explore this topic after seeing a Yahoo report with a White dad discussing his laments for his non-white son. We'll discuss the confusion around the term "biracial" and the history of White people raping black females and males. Dr. Durrant gave a riveting explanation as to why she thinks people classified as White are more informed about White Supremacy/Racism. This led us both to re-think why a White father would be wishing for and lamenting the lack of resources for White dads with non-white children. White people display plenty initiative for practicing Racism and a wealth of other non-constructive activities. Why is it so hard for them to invest time creating resources to help their non-white children? The infamous 1967 Loving Supreme court case was mentioned also. Just as Dr. Durrant was exiting the program, Gus was physically assaulted by a random black male stranger while we were still live on air. Gus contacted security following the broadcast and made a police report. A writer, poet and learning and development specialist, Ms. Thompson is a versatile communicator and facilitator with a rare ability to challenge and entertain professional and artistic audiences. She's been gracious enough to visit with us twice the last 2 months to discuss the re-release of her memoir, Almost British: Re-Visited, which gives detailed account of years of deliberate White Supremacist abuse from mostly White Women in British Prison service. Since our last exchange, the Metropolitan Police Department acknowledged that former officer David Carrick brandished a badge while being a serial rapist for years. The MET is reportedly investigating approximately 1,000 officers for possible sexual misconduct. We'll ask Ms. Thompson to relate this revelation to her experience in the prison service - where she was nicknamed Madam "Kinky Boots" by her White male co-workers. We also explore Ms. Thompson's candid admissions about how the torrent of Racist abuse compromised her mental health. Panic attacks, dizzy spells, nightmares... and thinking that she was just being paranoid trying to blame everything on Racism. We also analyze the 1993 White Supremacist killing of 17-year-old Stephen Lawrence as well as the 2000 prison death of Zahid Mubarek, a non-white (Pakistani) male who was killed by a White Supremacist cell mate. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of terms as tools to reveal truth, neutralize Racists/White people. #ANTIBLACKNESS The American Academy of Pediatrics updated guidelines to address the pestilence of obesity in the U.S. According to their report, approximately 20% of children in the U.S. are impacted by obesity, and the AAP recommends "early and intensive interventions" to reverse unhealthy childhood trends. Racism is explicitly listed in the report as a major contributor to obesity and unhealthy eating. In addition to poor diet, non-white people are also disqualified for mental health. In California, Keenan Anderson was tasered and killed by enforcement officials. Mr. Anderson was a black male educator and reportedly experiencing a mental health crisis when his life was terminated. This same week, NPR examined why black males don't utilize mental health services. (perhaps we're too busy slobbering over and raping White Women?) And mysterious, deliberate attacks on electrical grids continue throughout the land. Thousands have been stuck with no heat in the "dead" of winter. Some of us in the US got a reprieve to begin the week with recognition for Dr. Martin Luther King’s holiday. Alternatively, the day provided an opportunity for Racist Pranks and White grumbling about unnecessary holidays for dark people. Houston’s FOX 26 reported that a black female California Hotel employee, Ronnie Tams, and another non-white worker were terrorized by a White Man who may have been a marine. Tams immediately summoned her black self respect and utilized counter violence to neutralize the Suspected Race Soldier. These type of violent workplace encounters seem increasingly common. It’s imperative that non-white people remain alert to possibly violent people in your work environment. Mentally prepare to make the best decisions possible once you seen a situation begin to escalate. No one else at work will be concerned about your safety. Will also discuss the widespread fraud and "forgiveness" of the Paycheck Protection Program loans that were supposed to keep small businesses in operation throughout the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic. Approximately 92% of the loans have been forgiven. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Dr. Paul S. Chan and Dr. Anezi I. Uzendu. In October of 2022, The New England Journal of Medicine released a report showing that black and "hispanic" people are less likely to receive CPR from bystanders in any environment. This was reported prior to Damar Hamlin, 24-year-old black male who nearly died on the tackle football field before being resuscitated by highly decorated medical staff. The night of the tragic injury, Gus tweeted that if Hamlin experienced cardiac arrest away from the stadium, he would be substantially less likely to get help. Dr. Chan co-authored the report that confirms Gus's social media outburst. We'll discuss potential strategies to combat this problem - including: teaching non-white children CPR in school or even during the upcoming Super Bowl with Hamlin leading the instructions. Dr. Uzendu makes this information painfully relevant by relating his own near-death experience when he suffered cardiac arrest during a basketball contest at the age of 25-years-old. Approximately 90% of cardiac arrest patients who suffer attacks away from a medical institution die. #SuperLucky We'll hear about the White Supremacy Dr. Uzendu endured during med school, where there were 8 black students out of 100. Whites whittled that number down to 2, and then placed them both on "probation." Republican Representative George Santos continues to face allegations that he lied on his résumé and should resign from office. Torrential rain battered California forcing a number of evacuations and potentially lethal mudslides. In South America, supporters of Jair Bolsonaro rioted and terrorized government buildings to demonstrate their rejection of the electoral process. Journalists around the globe compared the fracas to the January 6th carnage in Washington, D.C. from 2021. Gus didn't see too many dark people running wild in the streets of Brazil. We'll also review the stabbing death of 29-year-old Devonna Walker. She had a verbal altercation with her White neighbors, but things escalated. Walker was cursed and called racial epithets before she got angry and physically charged the White Woman. A White Man steps out of his residence and apparently stabs Walker to death.
