    The C.O.W.S. Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man Part 12 Jul 20, 2018
    Show notes

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 12th study session on Ralph Ellison's beloved 1952 novel, Invisible Man. Gus T's all-time favorite read, Ellison's phenomenal work nabbed the 1953 National Book Award and has been inspected and esteemed internationally for more nearly 80 years. The book follows an nameless black male as he grinds through the abuse and deception of White Supremacy (Racism). Last week's segment saw the narrator become further disillusioned with the Brotherhood after they continued to abandon the black residents of Harlem even after the slaughter of Brother Todd Clifton. Ras The Exhorter and other local activists rightly correctly assess the corrupt White nature of the Brotherhood, while the former leads an attack on the protagonist when he walks past a rally. The main character uses a disguise to help avoid danger, but is repeatedly mistaken for Ras by both White and black New Yorkers. After being chastised again by the Brotherhood for lack individual responsibility and discipline, the main character resolves to invoke his grandfather's advice. He'll "yes" them to death. #AntiBlackness INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

    The C.O.W.S. Neutralizing Workplace Racism 07/19/18 Jul 19, 2018
    Show notes

The Context of White Supremacy hosts our Thursday weekly forum on neutralizing Workplace Racism. This program is uniquely engineered to improve non-white people's problem-solving skills and refine how black people think, speak, act and manage emotions while at work. Any listeners who've designed an effective code to minimize conflicts with White and/or non-white co-workers, bypass demotions, write-ups, terminations or other types of violence we experience under Racist work conditions should be first to call in with details. We're always grateful to learn about the experiences of "black entrepreneurs." Please, share with us how being "self employed" makes your work experience better. Gus will share some of his experiences from yoga teacher training, where having a counter-racist code has proved invaluable. We'll also re-visit what hampers us from habitually applying our counter-racist code on the job. More often than not, failure to adhere to counter-racist logic results in easily avoidable conflict. Gus recommends that Victims of Racism makes notes about important workplace situations. Documenting your thoughts and workplace occurrences is more reliable than memory, and the act of writing can organize your thinking. We'll also ask that non-white listeners share vital sections of the policy and procedure from your current place of employment. #AntiBlackness INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

The C.O.W.S. Global Sunday Talk On Racism 07/15/18 Jul 15, 2018
    Show notes

The Context of White Supremacy hosts our monthly Global Sunday Talk On Racism. This segment is constructed to encourage participation from Victims of Racism beyond the United States and/or non-white people who are unable to join us during our usual broadcast time. White Brits spent the week moping over England's World Cup defeat while simultaneously using the soccer festivities to to suggest Racism is pretty much over since Whites and non-whites played a ball game together. Just in time to cheer up disheartened Brits, President Donald J. Trump crossed the pond to chinwag with Prime Minister Theresa May and the White power brokers of the United Kingdom. All eyes were transfixed on England with the Wimbledon tennis competition being hosted there this week as well. Serena Williams was defeated in the championship round, but her impressive return from child birth was dramatically overshadowed by reports examine why she's been drug tested substantially more than her White counterparts. #RacismIsNotAPrivilege INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

    The C.O.W.S. Compensatory Call-In 07/14/18 Jul 14, 2018
    Show notes

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We'll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We'll examine news reports from the past seven days and - hopefully - promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS More then 60 years after the lynching of Emmett Till, the Justice Department announced they've reopened the case into the 1955 slaughter of the black fourteen-year-old. Carolyn Bryant Donham, the Race Soldier who admitted lying about Till and was accused of being in the vehicle the night the boy was killed, is still alive and should be prosecuted. Speaking of prosecutions, the Washington Post reports that Suspected Racist "Michael Selyem, who leads the Hardcore Gang Unit at the San Bernardino County District Attorneyâ??s Office, is the subject of an internal investigation." Selyem is accused of posting racist and terrorist threats about former First Lady Michelle Obama and U.S. Congresswoman Maxine Waters. Prosecutor Selyem reportedly called Congresswoman Waters "ghetto," and wondered why she has not been shot. On the other side of the globe, Brits mourned England's World Cup defeat while Serena Williams returned from child birth - with a White man - to play for her 8th Wimbledon singles titles. #RacismIsNotAPrivilege INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

    The C.O.W.S. Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man Part 11 Jul 13, 2018
    Show notes

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 11th study session on Ralph Ellison's celebrated 1952 novel, Invisible Man. Gus T's all-time favorite book, Ellison's exemplary work was tabbed for the 1953 National Book Award and has been inspected and esteemed internationally for more than a half century. The book follows an unnamed black male as he grinds through the abuse and deception of White Supremacy (Racism). Last week's session saw the narrator bamboozled by a White Woman; while speaking on the "woman question," a married White Woman used words to manipulate the unnamed protagonist back to her residence and, ultimately, her bedroom. It seems her White husband may have been present to witness the "integrated" bedroom activity. Following this tragic encounter, the protagonist is summoned back to Harlem to help re-organize the Brotherhood. He learns that Brother Tod Clifton, a black member, is missing and the Brotherhood has chosen to abandon the problems of black Harlem to focus their time and energy on more global objectives. The narrator discovers Brother Clifton, only to see him gunned down in the street by New York's finest. #AntiBlackness INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

While Whites pretended to celebrate independence and liberty from injustice, Therese Okoumou climbed the Statue of Liberty in objection of the Trump administration's immigration policy. She carried out her act sporting a shirt that read: "White Supremacy is Terrorism." Speaking of the current president, Mr. Trump continued his thrashing of Obama-era policies, obliterating regulations that asked colleges to include "race" as a factor when admitting students. These polices were poor efforts to compensate for White Supremacist polices that willfully prohibited black students from obtaining education. In the state of Oregon, an area notorious for barring black citizens access to the state, a black politician was deemed suspicious for canvasing for votes. A White Woman phoned enforcement officers on State Rep. Jannelle Bynum. And then there was the new Purge film. #AntiBlackness INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the tenth study session on Ralph Ellison's 1952 superlative novel, Invisible Man. Gus T's all-time favorite book, Ellison's exemplary text was picked for the 1953 National Book Award and has been inspected and esteemed internationally for more than a half century. The book follows an unnamed black male as he grinds through the terrorism and deceit of White Supremacy (Racism). Last week's installment introduced Brother Tarp, a black member of the Brotherhood. He and the main character discuss the organization, and Brother Tarp gifts the protagonist an iron shackle - similar the cuff Dr. Bledsoe owned. Brother Tarp shares that he was incarcerated for two decades for telling a (White) man "no." Not long after hearing Brother Tarp, the protagonist is accused of trying to subvert the Brotherhood. Brother Wrestrum, also a black member, reported to the White members that the main character had sinister motives for self-aggrandizement, not universal brotherhood. The Whites decide to banish the protagonist from his Harlem office and change his assignment to "the woman question." He decides to accept this task gleefully, his loyalty to the Brotherhood unshaken. #AntiBlackness INVEST in The COWS - http://paypal.me/GusTRenegade CALL IN NUMBER: 641.715.3640 CODE 564943#
