The Context of White Supremacy hosts our weekly assembly on neutralizing Workplace Racism. This broadcast is uniquely designed to improve non-white people's problem-solving strategies and improve how black people think, speak, act and control emotions while on the job. The Context of White Supremacy hosts our third study session on Gavin de Becker's 1997 bestseller, The Gift of Fear: Survival Signals That Protect Us from Violence. de Becker is a White man, Racist Suspect. A number of C.O.W.S. listeners suggested that we investigate this book as material to help non-white people better grasp when they might be violated. The System of White Supremacy is designed to encourage White and non-white people to harm black people. The hope is that by reading this book, listeners will be more alert and responsive to signals that inform of us potential danger. Last week's segment explored a number of techniques that perpetrators use to encourage victims to relinquish their suspicions. Dr. Martin Kevorkian has visited us repeatedly to discuss the rampant themes of antiblackness and black misandry that permeate this series. Netflix unloaded season five this year, and it was an abomination. A listener warned Gus that sexual confusion and contempt for gender were key elements of the new plot twists. The warning was insufficient. We'll focus specifically on the installment featuring Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker, The Hate U Give), "Striking Vipers." Kelly was arrested again and indicted on federal charges for alleged sexual misconduct and child pornography. #TheManNot While Trump cabinet member Acosta resigned in disgrace for his lenient prosecution of alleged sexual terrorist Jeffrey Epstein, PBS reminded viewers that sexual molestation is widespread. While litigation around citizenship questions on the census continues, Supreme Court Justice, the only black member of the court, prepares for his 29th year on the bench. He too has faced calls to resign because of allegations of sexual misdeeds. And North Carolina architect Phil Freelon passed away this week at the age of 66.
