He also authored American Swastika: Inside the White Power Movement’s Hidden Spaces of Hate, which examines White Supremacist groups in the United States. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS After weeks of armed Whites by the thousands protesting state-issued lock-downs across the U.S., variety of reports indicate an increase in flagrant violence against black people. A North Carolina family with young children was accosted by a gang of armed Whites. These Suspected Race Soldiers reportedly had a rocket launcher. A separate Racist Suspect approached the victims brandishing a massive pipe wrench. In a separate North Carolina incident, WECT News reports an attempted black family was terrorized by a gang of Racists. The Racist mob allegedly included an off-duty member of the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, J.T. Kita. In the midst of the ongoing necrophilia and gawking over the death of Georgia Ahmaud Arbery, the same gruesome spectacle is now focused on Kentucky EMT Breanna Taylor. Enforcement officers killed Taylor, 26, in her own home in March of this year. In the midst of all of this black death, daily reports continue to announce the toll the virus is exacting on black people. Brazil, which has the highest population of black people in the western hemisphere, is currently experiencing a sharp increase in cases of the virus. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes the return of a black male listener in China. A so called ex-patriot, he's lived in China for over a decade. An educator by trade, he's been instructing Chinese students during his time abroad. He joined us in April to discuss his quarantine time in China as well the spread of the coronavirus in the United States. Since we last spoke with him, Whites around the country have taken up arms to protest stay at home orders. Conspiracy theories are rampant, and even a number of black people doubt reports that black people in the U.S. are being disproportionately impacted. We'll ask our international listener about the reported second wave of the virus in China, as well as the ongoing claims that the Chinese government has been deceptive about the origins of the novel coronavirus. The Context of White Supremacy hosts our Friday weekly forum on neutralizing Workplace Racism. A number of regions around the globe are continuing the process of allowing some business and workplaces to reopen. All areas of people activity have been disrupted, and workers in all industries are struggling to deal with daily adjustments and new safety hazards. In New Orleans, Louisiana - a location that was labeled as an early "hotspot" in the United States - sanitation workers are on strike protesting unsafe conditions and unacceptable compensation. It's reported that prisoners are now being employed to compensate for the state's sanitation needs. We'll continue to review what measures employers are taking to ensure worker safety, and we'll encourage listeners to speak up if you think you see unsafe conditions. In Texas, White entrepreneurs are defying orders to remain closed and employing armed security to ensure they remain open for business. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 6th study session on Dr. Llaila O. Afrika's Nutritional Destruction Black People (Nutricide). Dr. Afrika is an internationally acclaimed author, naturopathic healer, certified acupuncturist, nutrition counselor and addictionologist. His surprising death in March of this year saddened and stunned many. He was 74. We were scheduled to read Dr. Afrika's work at some point this year, but there was no urgency to select a time. The coronavirus changed everything. Seemingly days after many around the world joked that black people are immune to "the rona," an avalanche of reports announced that black people in the U.S. are dying at alarming numbers from the so-called coronavirus. The history and continued practice of #MedicalAprtheid, abusing and experimenting on black patients, is one theory to explain the high number of fatalities. But obesity, cigarette smoking, high blood pressure, diabetes and a host of other diet-related health problems seem to be correlated with a higher risk of dying from the coronavirus. The current health crisis demanded that we open Dr. Afrika's work immediately. Unfortunately, our first five installments yielded little reward for cracking Dr. Afrika's book. There's a hefty amount of name-calling and blaming of black people - who are not in control of their food choices. We were treated to another hefty round of name-calling during last week's session. Dr. Afrika provided a roll call of "negroes" who are used by Whites to keep us in subjugation. Besides the antiblackness, he also emphasized the importance of breastfeeding. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes the return of Toyin Agbetu live from the United Kingdom. An advocate for "Pan African Human Rights," Agbetu founded LIGALI to challenge the Racist misrepresentation of black people in British media. The world continues to muddle through the global health crisis arising from the coronavirus. After Prime Minister Boris Johnson's near fatal infection from Covid-19, Britain is slowly allowing some businesses to reopen and some social activities to resume - with continued social distancing. We'll get Agbetu's thought's on what's happening in the country and the spread of misinformation about the virus. Unfortunately, it's been reported that black people in the United Kingdom, like their cousins in the states, are being adversely impacted by the virus. A White male father and son duo, Gregory McMichael and Travis McMichael, killed Arbery in February of this year. However, it's taken two months for White killers to be arrested. The tackiness escalated so high that former Vice President Joe Biden raised faux outrage about Arbery's killing and demanded justice. Speaking of dangerous negroes, in Michigan a number of black citizens armed themselves to provide security for state representative Sarah Anthony (Dem). Last week, dozens of armed Whites invaded the state capital to intimidate lawmakers and make known their violent opposition to the stay at home orders.In the midst of global death and economics devastation, entertainment legend Andre Harrell died at the age of 59. The Context of White Supremacy hosts our Friday weekly forum on neutralizing Workplace Racism. A number of regions around the globe are beginning the process of re-opening and allowing certain businesses to operate. All areas of people activity have been disrupted, and workers in all industries are struggling to deal with daily adjustments and new safety hazards. A C.O.W.S. listeners inquired about the PayCheck Protection Program (PPP). This is a part of the U.S. responses, ostensibly to supports small businesses entrepreneurs. Significantly, black businesses around the country report being denied and ignored in attempts to get financial help. Our listener said that her employer told her that she should apply for the PPP program. They want to guarantee her hours and salary over the next few weeks of the pandemic. However, part of the program stipulates that employees may be rehired for their regular hours and salay, but they may be reassigned to alternate duties. our listener indicated that they wanted to transition her to dish-washing - a position she already declined. Gus encouraged that she read all the details about the PPP. One important rule of this program stipulates: "Employees and employers should be aware that employees who reject offers of re-employment may forfeit eligibility for continued unemployment compensation."
