The Business of Being Yourself with Tiffany Han (formerly Raise Your Hand Say Yes)

Everyone wants to teach women how to build businesses, but almost nobody is talking about the woman doing the building. But after 16 years in business and nearly 3 million podcast downloads, I’ve become convinced of something: You are the best asset your business has.

Which means that who you are, how you show up, what you believe, and what brings you to life are the business-building tools we *need* to be talking about. In this weekly-ish show, I explore ambition, creativity, visibility, reinvention, delight, and the messy, ongoing work of becoming more yourself on purpose. Because being who you are isn’t something you do after you’ve made it, it’s what makes everything else possible.

Ep. 167: Heeding the Call with Liz Bohannon of Sseko Designs Nov 14, 2017
    Show notes

I was thrilled to get to interview Liz Bohannon, founder and CEO of Sseko Designs, for this week's episode of Raise Your Hand Say Yes. We talked about how she went from "an idea" of what her calling was to building the company she has now.

We also talked about how she felt quitting her "looks good on paper" job to move to Uganda without a plan, what happened when she realized that she was building a business around things she *thought* she hated, and how many times she's been told no.

This episode was full of SO MANY gems (get the cliff notes and my top 5 highlights below) and might be just what you need to get your butt in gear towards making something big happen for this world.

Ep. 166: Rethinking Productivity with Tonya Dalton of Inkwell Press Nov 07, 2017
    Show notes

If you find yourself on the constant quest to get more done in less time, this episode is for you! This week, I'm talking with Tonya Dalton, founder of Inkwell Press and the voice of the Productivity Paradox podcast about some of the biggest productivity myths out there and what you can focus on instead.

We also cover the basics of how to get yourself out of overwhelm, how to gracefully let go of things, and what you can do instead of striving for work/life balance (cuuuuuz we all know that the never-ending quest for balance isn't doing us any good!).

This episode is so good and I know it's full of nuggets you can implement IMMEDIATELY!

Ep. 165: When the worst case scenario happens! Oct 31, 2017
    Show notes

This week's solo show is all about what you can do when the worst-case scenario happens. I'm telling you a story that I haven't talked about publicly yet about a time, early in my career, when I asked someone for more money for some work I was doing and was promptly put in my place and told why I was completely wrong for asking for what I needed. Yeah. It was like that.

And while the experience itself sucked, I learned a TON which I'm sharing with you today! You'll also hear some reflections of my latest meditation retreat experience as well as the giant lightbulb moment I had recently about how I've been washing my face ALL WRONG. For my entire life! Bah!!

    Enjoy, enjoy!

    Show notes

Is it possible for me to be any more in love with Tanya Geisler than I am? No. No it is not.

I was thrilled to be able to bring this interview with Tanya out of the RYHSY archives for this week's show. In the interview, we talk about Tanya's work with the think that I think is the biggest threat to creative women: the Imposter Complex.

Tanya, you are a light and a gift to this world. Thank you.

What do you do when you know something needs to change but you're so stuck in all the doing that you aren't even sure where to start? That's what I'm talking about this week with my true love Erin Cassidy about what she experienced earlier this summer in her business, aka the Meltdown of 2017.

You'll hear us talk about what caused her to get to this place, how it affected her whole life, and how she dealt with it. You'll also hear about what we did when we were *thisclose* to calling it quits on BrandCrush and how we found our way back to resonance and flow.

Ep. 158: Lisa Anderson Shaffer of Zelma Rose on Bono (Yes! Really!) Sep 12, 2017
    Show notes

Would it be crazy or the best to base an entire year of business decisions on what Bono would do? Answer: the best. I am a huge fan of Lisa Anderson Shaffer and Zelma Rose and when she told me that she decided back in January to use Bono as a guide for all of her creative and business decisions, I knew I had to have her on the show.

In this week's episode, you'll find out why she chose Bono, what she learned from him, and how it's made a difference in her creative work and life. You'll also hear us talk about how this fits into the Raise Your Hand Say Yes way of life in such a perfect way. Get excited, because this is a good one!
