We Made it to the End of Paradise Oct 10, 2021

Whew baybeeee, we made it. They really had us in the trenches this season, they subjected us to 4 hours of this show for several weeks, disrespected the Black folx in more ways than we can count, & brought back the most questionable guest hosts for the finale (WHAT WAS THE REASONNNN?!) But, all that aside, we did end the season strong with 3 engagements, and not only that, 3 women of color got engaged & 1 Black man. And even further, more monumental than that, history was made as Riley & Maurissa became the first Black love story to come out of this franchise. We are cry & we are obsessed. beyond this absolutely blindsiding reckoning, Mi and Vic are currently on opposing coasts working on opposing schedules hence the two separate responses. additionaly had to seek a way to protect their mental, emotional and physical beings before approaching this one. this especially considering that Mi is apart of many of the communities targeted in these tweets. they wanted to find the means not only to pursue accountability but also wanted to build the capacity to center and support the needs of all the communities violated, while also unpacking a shit ton of racial trauma. tew. much. labor. and this ain't even our day job.
