    The Big Finish Podcast

    Another Skype interview. Canada is the setting for a chat with a fellow whom geography prevented from being on the DVD of the story to which he makes a major and impressive contribution. His memorable villain is just one entry on a CV that encompasses close-ups with Orson Welles, Laurence Olivier, Ralph Richardson and Peter Brook as well as a long association and close friendship with Harold Pinter. Add to that some great British comedies and you have an eclectic CV to discuss with one of the most polite and charming gentlemen to grace the acting profession.

    The first podcast recorded in 2014, this is the beginning of The Next Generation of Toby Hadoke's Who's Rounds. The subject is a veteran actor whose association with Doctor Who covers four stories and three Doctors. He's appeared on various episode commentaries though, so a large chunk of this covers other non-Who areas such as his working class roots, his exposure to some of the finest actors in theatre history, and his experiences growing up during the war.     So many people have asked if Who's Round intends to get itself up-to-date and so cover episodes post 2013 so here's another chat which emphatically answers that question as positively as possible. It's another new series writer who talks about the two most recents seasons of the show.     Happy Christmas listeners - and it's a special edition of Who's Round which answers the question "Are you going to cover the episodes made after 2013, Toby?". And it answers that question quite emphatically: and what better way than with two writers who have produced some of the most acclaimed episodes in recent years? Unusually, these podcasts were recorded at a convention. Both interviewees had agreed to do a Who's Round in the usual manner but Toby's busy schedule meant that when he was asked to join them on stage he decided that this was a good way of killing two birds with one stone and there's candid and insightful chat from both.
