Done Is Better Than Perfect Jun 16, 2020
    Show notes

People tend to get stuck in their businesses by analyzing every little situation, but perfection can be the enemy of progress.

In today's BetterWealth Breakdown, I sit down with Right-Hand Dan and we discuss the concept of "Done is Better than Perfect" and why analysis paralysis keeps us stuck in ideas and planning, but why it can leave us inactive and in fear. Part of Teddy Roosevelt's quote "the worst thing is doing nothing…" challenges us to drive action not just in business but in personal life too, and why striving for perfection may not be the best way to strive for living.

The Need For An Emergency Fund Jun 15, 2020
    Show notes

Today's economic conditions from Covid-19 have left businesses and individuals struggling to sustain themselves financially. However, those who have built emergency funds prior to the economic downturn have seen a growth of opportunity and a peace of mind.

In today's Motivational Monday Episode, I discuss the importance of an Emergency Fund. I look at the devastating impact around the world for business and personal economies that had based their existence around the idea of future cash flow. I talk about why the mindset of "future cash flow" cannot sustain during a time of economic downturn. I discuss why emergency funds and the mindset of building emergency funds can bring both growth for opportunity in the future and why it also brings a peace of mind both for business and personal sustainability.

Pivot to Profit with Leah Marie Jun 14, 2020
    Show notes

On Friday's BetterWealth LIVE, I interviewed Leah Marie as she shared her story of moving from sales to cognitive coaching. We discuss the way in which her work as a cognitive behaviorist coach has helped people have the ability to develop better mindsets in making themselves more productive and successful in their working and home environments. Leah discusses the three biggest reasons people are struggling in their success; efficiency, focus, and productivity and discuss. We also discuss the Pivot to Profit Summit, which I had been honored to be invited by Leah Marie as an influencer in the financial session, and she discusses a bit about bringing together other influencers to create a master class and multiple resources to help people pivot to profit.

The Importance of Data Jun 11, 2020
    Show notes

The vast majority of people, despite your cash flow, do not have an accurate number on where money is going on a monthly basis.

In today's Better Wealth Unlock, Jereme Roodhouse, BetterWealth's Wealth Coach, discusses with me how important accurate data is when evaluating correct financial situations in life and business. When data is not completely accurate it can have a massive impact on your future. We explain why tracking your spending can help bring accountability to your finances, because when you track your money you control it.

The Hedgehog Concept Jun 09, 2020
    Show notes

Many companies start with the idea of making a lot of money, but sadly those companies go out of business or jump from idea to idea never becoming as successful as they had hoped.

In today's Better Wealth Breakdown, Dan and I talk about the book "Good To Great" by Jim Collins and his "Hedgehog Concept" which explains how companies can become great by gaining clarity in three areas: What can you be best in the world at, what drives your economic engine, and what are you deeply passionate about? We then use these three areas of the "Hedgehog concept" to evaluate BetterWealth as a company.

Return vs. Results Jun 08, 2020
    Show notes

The biggest mistake I see people making is taking other peoples advice on how they should be using their money without taking a step back to evaluate their greatest ROR.

In today's Monday Message, I use a case study to breakdown a clients' process of evaluating where their money is going and what their biggest rate of return is coming from. I show in this case study the importance of evaluating your own ROR by asking yourself three questions; What result will you get on the back-end? How will taxes or a market correction affect your money in the future? And, what can I do with money that will give me a bigger result?

Consumption vs. Savings Jun 04, 2020
    Show notes

The difference between consumption and savings is not being taught properly.

In today's BetterWealth Unlock, Jereme Roodhouse, BetterWealth's Wealth Coach, discusses the ways he serves people in the front line by teaching and evaluating people's understanding of consumption vs. savings. We explain why money always goes one of two places, either through savings or consumption and we discuss why it is so important to control the ratio of our consumed (lost of control) and saved (controlled).
