Ep. 150: You Aren't Ready For Success Mar 11, 2020
    Show notes

They say it takes 20 years to become an overnight success. Sure, people everywhere go viral seemingly overnight, but anyone with lasting success knows that it takes years of building reps and the right mindset to be able to handle the ups and downs of what success actually entails. Anyone can build a following just by showing up, but when you make a habit of showing up every day for your 10 followers, soon enough you’ll be in the exact right place to handle 10 thousand, and even 10 million. Mindset matters, and your success will only last so long without the right kind.

You don’t have the right mindset [1:45]

Faith in the little things [4:22]

    Preparation plus opportunity [6:28]

No skipping steps for sustainable success [7:55]

It takes 20 years to become an overnight success [9:27]

Put your blinders on, your head down, and keep going [10:49]

    More isn’t necessarily better [14:59]

Where you are right now doesn’t indicate your future [16:48]

Ep. 146: Learning to Trust Your Intuition Feb 26, 2020
    Show notes

They always say to “trust your gut” above all… but who the hell even is “they,” and how can we tell when it’s our intuition acting up, or we are reacting out of fear? Danny and Jill take a moment to reflect on intuition and its place in our lives and relationships. You’ve gotta know when your gut is telling you something at all before you can begin to trust its urgings. Maybe it’s right all the time, or maybe it never is, but you’ve got to give yourself the grace and trust to handle whatever comes your way.

How do you begin to listen to your gut? [2:42]

Trusting someone new when you’ve been burned before [4:39]

    Watching someone’s behavior [6:16]

Be wary of gas lighting and of others’ responses [9:03]

Act on your gut feelings instead of waiting them out [13:19]

What would your future self say? [14:43]

Consult your imaginary board of advisors [16:00]

What advice would you give if someone else had this problem? [16:29]

Regret is also a choice [17:08]

Give yourself some grace: your gut isn’t always right [19:01]
