San Juan Del Sur Episode 9 Nov 20, 2014
    Show notes

Wow, our wish came true! This game just kicked it into high gear. This episode contained multiple surprises that culminated in a classic blindside. Let's hope for more of the same in the next episode. With the two most prominent strategists out of the way, Jon appears to be the top dog for now. How long do you think he can hang on to his new found role? What's Natalie's best play from here? What would Missy have to do from here to win your support at final tribal? Who is your favorite to win it all now? Who do you think will be the next to go?

Here is the merged tribe after episodes 9. Huyopa:Alec, Baylor, Jaclyn, Jon, Keith, Missy, Natalie, Reed and Wes

San Juan Del Sur Episode 8 LF Nov 15, 2014
    Show notes

Yes, this was much better. We had some classic Survivor game play in episode 8, and the fans heartily approve! The two big rivals faced off, and the consensus from the feedback this week was that Jon and Jaclyn made the best choice. This season will not come close to the previous strategy fest that we got with Cagayan, but it has certainly been entertaining in it's own way.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. Seventeen fans shared their thoughts on episode 8 and predictions for what we'll see next. We want to thank and acknowledge everyone who contributed to another great Listener Feedback show. This week we heard from: Mikeybear, Maria, Barbara, Mikko, Rashmi, Jody, BrandonB, Saundra, Drew, Carolyn, Jill, Kenny, Boston Mark, Ken, Jeremiah, Josh, and Paul.

SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 8 of Survivor San Juan Del Sur Nov 14, 2014
    Show notes

This week we interviewed Josh Canfield . He left the game in episode 8 of Survivor San Juan Del Sur. Josh stood out as one of the primary strategists of this season. He played a great game and we really enjoyed watching him square off against Jeremy after the merge. Listen to this interview to hear his response to Jaclyn at Tribal Council that we didn't get to see, his thoughts on Keith's idol, who will NOT get his vote at the final tribal and more!

San Juan Del Sur Episode 8 Nov 13, 2014
    Show notes

Here's a great lesson for future castaways. If you have a former beauty pageant contestant in your tribe, make sure you pay plenty of attention to her lest she thinks you do not care enough and bails on your alliance just to spite you. Last episode Keith's fortunes were looking fairly bright, and the next he blunders his alliance's plan and turns everything upside down. With the power struggle between Jeremy and Josh resolved, it should be interesting to see what happens next. Do you think Jon and Jaclyn will maintain allegiance to the new alliance? Where do you think they fall in that alliance? Did they make the best choice for their game? Who is your favorite to win it all now? Who do you think will be the next to go?

San Juan Del Sur Episode 7 LF Nov 09, 2014
    Show notes

The merge is normally a turning point in the season, when the strategic portion of the game kicks into high gear as the alliances square off against each other to see which one will emerge in control of the game. This time though, it was diminished by an error we can all attribute to poor casting. The transition we were looking for was delayed. From the feedback, we tell there is an undercurrent of disappointment with the theme and the cast, but many of us believe that it still has the potential to redeem itself. We are looking forward to see how it plays out when the battle between this season's power players: Jeremy, Josh and Missy finally gets underway.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 7 of Survivor San Juan Del Sur Nov 07, 2014

This week we interviewed Julie McGee . She quit the game in episode 7 of Survivor San Juan Del Sur. Julie took the easy way out and wasted what many of us consider an opportunity of a lifetime. Listen to this interview to hear if she ever talked to anyone about the trail mix, how she felt about being called selfish and described as cowardly, if she planned it all just to reunite with John and more!

San Juan Del Sur Episode 7 Nov 06, 2014
    Show notes

This episode should have been about the merge and the face off between two of the season's most strategic players. Unfortunately, it was tainted by the most persistent and undesirable story line of the season. The quitter is finally gone. As several of you suggested back in the pre-season JABBIC shows, the downside to the BvW theme is you can end up with castaways that are only here to support their loved one and quickly lose interest in the game when their chances diminish or the game gets challenging. Kudos to Keith. Who would have predicted he would be a standout at this stage of the game? What did you think about Julie's choice to conceal food and her reasons for quitting? What did you think about how Jeff managed the quit? Who will Jon and Jaclyn side with now? Who will emerge in the majority alliance? What did you think of Missy's advice to Baylor? Who do you think is the most unlikely winner at this point in the game? Who do you think will be the next to go? For those playing in JSFL, will you choose a new USB?

San Juan Del Sur Episode 6 LF Nov 02, 2014
    Show notes

The consensus in the feedback this week on the Probst penalty for rice-gate was consistent. They really blew this opportunity to reaffirm the title of the show and ensured that we will likely see future castaways treating this like Let's Make a Deal instead of Survivor when it comes to recovering from bad decisions. There were various predictions for who will end up in the controlling alliance after the merge, but most agree that Josh and Reed are in trouble.

For each episode, we provide 3 podcasts: an episode recap, an interview with the castoff, and a chance for Survivor fans like yourself to sound off on what you saw and how you think the castaways are fairing in the game. SFP Interview: Castoff from Episode 6 of Survivor San Juan Del Sur Oct 31, 2014
    Show notes

This week we interviewed Dale Wentworth . He left the game in episode 6 of Survivor San Juan Del Sur. Dale stood out from the pack early, demonstrating a deeper knowledge of the game than his tribemates. We were impressed with his initiative to create a fake idol on day one. Just as with his daughter Kelley though, luck eventually dealt him a bad hand. He was outnumbered and followed shortly after in her footsteps. Listen to this interview to hear about his extreme pre-game preparations, who he had the most trouble dealing with, a description of each of his tribemates and more!

San Juan Del Sur Episode 6 Oct 30, 2014
    Show notes

Chalk this one up as a "building" episode. The controlling alliance at one tribe took care of some remaining housekeeping business before the merge, and the result was largely predictable although we had a lot of fun imagining alternate scenarios. Natalie made a nice, strategic move. Jeremy's good guy image became a little tarnished this round. What did you think about Probst's conditions for getting more rice? Any guesses or suggestions for what they will choose for the merged tribe name? Will the remaining couples unite to take out the four remaining singles? Where do you see the alliances forming after the merge? Who is in the best possible position for the merge? Who is most likely to fly under the radar now? Who do you think will be the quitter now? Who do you think will be the next to go?

Here are the tribes after episodes 6. New Coyopa:Baylor, Jaclyn, Jon, Keith and Missy New Hunahpu:Alec, Jeremy, Josh, Julie, Natalie, Reed and Wes
