Ripley talks about the overall landscape of watch media today, and how he entered the space through watch sales. Ariel and Ripley talk about classifying someone's interest in watches as a hobby, and how watch collectors' behaviors differ a bit from other types of collectors and enthusiasts. They also talk about the value of worth when you want to own something, as opposed to just when you are seeking to purchase and resell. Ripley goes further into his duties at aBlogtoWatch.com, and what he is hoping to get out of the experience as time goes on.

Alexander discusses the heritage and incredible history behind the brand, and Ariel asks about the demographic today that is interested in Vacheron Constantin pieces. The two dive into the topic of female connoisseurs of mechanical watches today, and Ariel excitedly asks Alexander about the special watches in the Métiers d'Art collection by Vacheron.

The book tells the story of how Scotts’ father Harry Lenga, and his brothers used their watchmaking skills to survive the Holocaust. Ariel and Scott get into the deeper meaning behind why Scott wanted the world to hear this story, and some of the incredible lessons he learned from his father while working on the story.
