Pat Light got ABSOLUTELY FLAMED by Will Flemming on the Red Sox broadcast Wednesday afternoon and we get his live reaction to the audio. This transitions nicely into a discussion about current MLB players (some of which are All-Stars) that the Red Sox could've picked before they drafted Pat Light. Pat also gets into his sit-down interview with Barbara Walters on 60 minutes. We then get some quick movie recommendations by Sandra before we dive into some Red Sox talk. In Episode 34, we're breaking down the trade deadline and saying a heartfelt goodbye to Christian Vázquez. Pat speaks on what it's like to have the media swarm you immediately after a trade and talks about the massive fights that ensued between the front office and the players following his trade to Minnesota. He also details both the personal and professional issues he had with Vázquez and talks about how glad he is that he's no longer a member of the Red Sox organization. The Red Sox traded for a guy who loves jerking off in public and at this point the joke is probably played out. Tyler is pumped because Jake Diekman is gone and he ranks him among the worst relievers he's ever seen pitch for the Red Sox. The members of the name redacted pod are in serious talks to buy the Angels and trade Shohei and Trout (plus a pitching prospect) for Franchy Cordero but some people are saying it could be considered tampering. Pat is playing the role of Red Sox PR and is rephrasing some comments that Jarren Duran made after the deadline. We also get the long-awaited story between Jared and Robby Scott and talk about why that guy is an asshole. We sneak in a quick look-ahead and we're outta here. Today we're celebrating the fact that the Red Sox didn't get swept. Woo Whoo! Pat shockingly joins for the second straight episode and breaks down his $93k night in Vegas. We go line by line of his receipt and talk about our favorite lines, including the $312 he spent on fucking WATER. In classic Pat fashion he mentions a couple competing sponsors that need to get bleeped out and then we move onto Red Sox talk. Meanwhile, Tyler is having an all-time battle with his computer/internet situation. Between the delays, he's able to break down Nate Eovaldi's value on the trade market and rank Chaim Blooms overall tenure with the Red Sox. Jared Carrabis Podcast Episode 32: Pat Light On The Trade Block Jul 29, 2022

In a shocking turn of events, Pat Light is rearing to go for Episode 32 of the Name Redacted Pod. We start out hot with a tweet from Christ Cotillo claiming Pat Light has been mentioned in trade to acquire Coley from Barstool. We break down Pat's value to the pod and talk about what his value could be elsewhere (which we decide is quite minimal). Right before we started recording we had a big quote drop from Xander saying that he was informed that he will NOT be traded before the deadline. We discuss what this means in terms of his chances to get signed to an extension and what it means for the future of the franchise. Triston McKenzie also tweets at Jared saying they have beef after Jared publicly sided with Xander on his three-run homer off McKenzie in Thursday night's game. The Red Sox split the series against the Guardians and unfortunately the third game of the series was solely lost by Franchy Cordero. He made three errors in a single game and easily could have had four. We grade Chaim Bloom on the roster he's constructed this year and criticize him on where he's come up short. We look ahead to the Brewers series and have some positive outlooks by Pat to end the episode. Enjoy!

This is one of those series that you can’t even break down game by game since it was such a dumpster fire, so we go big picture. What’s the plan for this team? Are they buyers or sellers at the deadline? If we let Xander walk how is Cora going to feel? If we aren’t signing Devers then what the hell was the point of the Mookie trade? We talk about how all of our best players are unsigned and try to figure out what the hell we are waiting for. Pete gives a quick shoutout to Sydney Sweeney before he dips. Also, David Ortiz was officially inducted into the Hall of Fame this weekend. We talk about our favorite moments from his career and his continued presence in the Red Sox community post retirement. Jared Carrabis Podcast Episode 30: What Just Happened? Jul 18, 2022

What the hell was that? The Red Sox absolutely crawl into the All-Star break losing six of their last seven games to division opponents and very realistically could've been swept back to back. After a miracle of a win on Friday night, the Sox got absolutely smacked around for the rest of the weekend getting outscored by the Yankees 27-3. On top of that, after years of waiting for a healthy Chris Sale to come back and lead this starting rotation, he takes a 106mph come-backer to his throwing hand and breaks his pinky. That is just sick. In today's episode we're talking about everything that's wrong with this team from the players to the front office. What is the direction of this team moving forward? We're starting players in positions that they have no idea how to play and we're refusing to sign homegrown, Boston-proven, superstar talent. We take a deep dive into how this team could look in the coming years. If that wasn't enough, Jared and Jake are recording across from what looks like the most fun pool party that's ever been thrown and it feels like a personal attack. Jared Carrabis Podcast Episode 29: Need A Spark Jul 15, 2022

Jared and Pete start the show by addressing Sunday night's episode and the fact that everyone thought we were drunk. Can't a few pals get together to worship the lord every now and then without being accused of intoxication? A fake Jesus guy reached out to Jared after the show and tried to apologize for scaring him as a child. Turns out he was less of a J guy and more of a D guy. Anyways, Sox got swept. The one positive that came out of this series was that Alex Cora dunked all over Chris Cotillo in a press conference which we break down live on the pod. Besides that, not a whole lot of things went our way this week. Tyler rips into the Red Sox defense and calls out all the head-scratching mistakes that were made in the field during this series. The reality we're now facing is that the Red Sox could possibly be in last place in the AL East heading into the All-Star break. Wow. We talk about how the roster feels thin and needs help in the bullpen and at first, and how much of the blame we should be placing on Chaim Bloom. Jared points out that there were a couple chances to get a spark this series that just didn't pan out. Bello had a chance to impress in his second start but looked shaky again. Chris Sale had a fairly dominant first outing of the year but the Sox couldn't score for him. These were a couple storylines that could've ended up being moments for the Sox to rally behind but ended up being disappointing losses. We also talk about John Henry's comments and what seems like his lack of interest in the Red Sox the last few years compared to when he first bought the team. We end the show talking planes, new enemy of the pod Jameson Taillon, and how our lives would be different if the Arod to the Red Sox trade went through. Enjoy!

Jared, Pat, Pete, and Jake are live in-person at Jared's apartment recording the pod with a very special guest. Sandra makes her debut on the pod to break down the ins and outs of her relationship with Pat and friendship with Jared. But before we get into the Sandra situation we of course have to hold hands, bow our heads, and join in prayer. We hit four different prayer sessions today led by Jared, Pete, and two by Jake. Between prayers and talking with Sandra we also mix in a little baseball talk. The Red Sox won the final two games of the series against the Yankees and we're coming out of this weekend feeling like this was a win. This series wasn't about sweeping the Yankees. It was about showing that the Red Sox could hang with them in a playoff series, and we feel as though they did just that. We had some shaky starts out of Winckowski, Seabold, and Pivetta, but our offense was able to carry us to a split. After the Yankees series we look ahead to this week down in Tampa and talk about Chris Sale's season debut on Tuesday. Before we get out of here we recount the events of Saturday night when the members of the pod tried to organize a night out in Fenway. Jared Carrabis Podcast Episode 27: The Energy Is About To Shift Jul 07, 2022

If you're trashing Brayan Bello right now you need to do some self reflecting. Plenty of guys have had much worse major league debuts than Bello's on Wednesday night and have went on to have HOF careers. If there's anything to complain about in this series it's the offense and the bullpen. After a couple solid outings, Sawamura is back to his usual tricks and posted one of the worst spray charts we've ever seen tonight. Hansel Robles was also DFA'd after Tuesday's outing which seemed like a move that was long overdue. There are some people trying to blame this skid on the disappointment that was June 28th. Let's not forget where the Red Sox were before the June 28th movement and where they are now. The Yankees scored 16 runs against the Pirates on Wednesday night and are probably feeling pretty good on their plane ride to Fenway tonight, but the pitching matchups this weekend have us feeling like it may not be as easy of a series as they're anticipating. Eduardo Rodríguez reportedly hasn't contacted the Tigers organization in three weeks and Jared weighs in on the situation and his personal connection with Eddie. Before we hop off, one of the better Chris Sale videos we've ever seen surfaces after his rehab start in Worcester on Wednesday night. We break down his destruction of the clubhouse and what that may say about his mentality as he looks to return to the Red Sox in the coming days. Enjoy!

Jared Carrabis Podcast Episode 26: Stock Standard Jul 04, 2022

Jared and Jake were lucky enough to be at Wrigley Field this weekend to witness some of the worst Red Sox baseball of the year. Jarren Duran and Tanner Houck were on Jared and Jake's flight to Chicago which led to Jarren telling Jared some alleged breaking news. Jake got mistaken for Tyler at Wrigley Field which lowkey ended up being a shot at Tyler. No one knows why we didn't see Austin Davis during this series until Jared texts Cora, and now it all makes sense. Jared has been playing an extremely uncomfortable game of "Gunshot or Firework?" here in Chicago. The Brockton Rox have the sickest lineup of all time but still kinda suck so we dive into their individual stats. Rich Hill made a spectacular defensive play on Friday night and Jared wasn't the least bit impressed. Winckowski was dealing on Saturday night which is the only good takeaway from that game. After heavily praising Matt Strahm on this program merely less than a month ago, the regression has been real. We break down our impressions of Wrigley and talk about Winckowski's criticsm of the field and its environment. We also talk Daniel Bard coming back to the Sox and celebrate the anniversary of Pat Light striking out Mike Trout. Enjoy!

Jared Carrabis Podcast Episode 25: Cora Says Don't Say It Jun 30, 2022

Pete rejoins the show and should be on the majority of episodes for the foreseeable future now that hockey season is over. Jared addresses the Twitter drama that ensued on Tuesday night after Steve decided to be a dildo again. Why can't we all just be friends and coexist? We're also breaking down the disappointment that was Tuesday night as we were soooo close to being able to say it but came up short due to ANOTHER blown save by the bullpen. When will it end? It's Jared and Pete's first solo podcast together since the early Sect*** 1* days so of course we're talking cigs, strips clubs, and drinking. We also look ahead to the Cubs series and take a close look at some of their players who may or may not be real people. Jared and Jake will be in Chicago this weekend attending the games and making content so keep an eye out for that as well!
