AJLT 1.3 When In Rome AKA Big Will-y Style Dec 17, 2021

Show notes

It's time to read Mr. Big's will, and he left a million dollar surprise for his ex, Natasha. Carrie stalks her all the way to a toilet and she couldn't help but wonder…who the F is the dog in Big's wallet? Carrie spirals about the secrets she may never be able to know about Big, Charlotte tries to get a handle on one daughter's identity crisis, and another friend's alcoholism, and Miranda drinks her way all the way to Che's afterparty where she tries something new. Here's a question: when do you think Che - the "comedian" - will tell their first actual joke? Will it happen before the end of the season? In other news…Stanford? Is perfect.

AJLT 1.2 Little Black Dress AKA Let's Get Sad Dec 13, 2021

Show notes

It's the funeral episode, and we hope we have more fun SOON! Miranda once again is the first friend to show up when she's needed, although she needs several drinks to do it…which might be the beginning of a problem. Brady cannot stop having sex as loudly as possible. Charlotte is too much for Carrie to handle, and Stanford is perfect (except for weirdly being mean to Big's secretary for a moment). Miranda also tears Che a new one for giving her kid weed, but then they eventually make up. And Samantha sent flowers! SHE LIVES but Nathan Lane is DEAD! Don't be a Bitsy!

AJLT 1.1 Hello, It's Me AKA Big Feelings Dec 10, 2021

Show notes

Well, if you're listening to this, you already know the big news: Peloton's stock has dropped considerably in the Sex and the Cityverse. The big comeback episode after 11 years away doesn't turn out great for our Mr. Big, but we're psyched to be back nonetheless. Miranda went grey and is back to school where she's acting the fool, Charlotte has two very different daughters, (and one of them is a sneaky series villain?), and Carrie is on a podcast that neither of us would ever, ever listen to. Thanks for taking one more look at us — the And Just Like That journey…has begun.

To prepare for the upcoming "And Just Like That" series premiere, Kevin & Jon go back to where it all started, and rewatch the Sex and the City pilot episode from 1998 (beginning at 19:24). Dune (1984) AKA Trey MacDougal's Film Debut Nov 01, 2021

Show notes

It's a Patreon exclusive we're dropping on the Cidiots feed because it's Kyle MacLachlan/Dune/Trey/Muad'Dib's film debut! The new Dune is out now on HBO Max, but Jon got Kevin to finally watch the original, so he can now retroactively get all the references from the Charlotte/Trey relationship. The Spice Must Flow! Sandworms! Whispering! Nip rips! To get more movies & TV podcasts from Kevin and Jon during Sex and the City offseason, join the party on Patreon at patreon.com/kevinandjon.

The Stanford Blatch Episode Sep 30, 2021

Show notes

Willie Garson, who played Stanford Blatch, passed away at the age of 57. We take an episode to talk about our favorite moments and quotes from Stanford's run on Sex and the City. We talk favorite episodes — and point out a few to rewatch/relisten to — and we share our overall appreciation of one of the most fun characters from SATC. We also go through Willie's IMDB and talk about some of his many other roles. After the deeply sad news of his passing, we try to have some fun and give the character and the actor a bit of a celebratory wake. RIP Stanny! #TeamBlatchford4Life
