99 | What To Do When You Feel Lost In Life Aug 24, 2021
    Show notes

Today’s is our 99th episode and we are celebrating! We are also doing something different today because it feels important to share where we are as well as honor this two year journey we have been on.

Recently, we have been facing a challenging time in our lives and this episode is about being authentic with where we have been. Yes, we do live this work but there are times when things are a challenge. It is not about just knowing it, it’s about applying it everyday in our lives. We can have the tools but they don’t do anything unless we pick them up and use them.

Here are some things to remember if you are ever feeling lost in life:

    • Honor yourself for where you are
    • Give yourself space & don’t force anything
    • Know yourself & what kind of support you need during those moments

Everyone’s journey is different and what everyone needs is different as well. Part of human conditioning is getting over suffering. Often, when we go through a challenging time in our lives, we appreciate things more once we get through it. You can be so used to being at a certain level in life that any setback can feel big, but it isn’t as big as we may think. Especially when we look back at how far we have come.

We have enjoyed bringing this episode to you and we thank you for your continued support! We would love to hear your feedback so please feel free to reach out to us @scienceandspiritualitypodcast.

    • What a gratitude practice can do for your physical body
    • How gratitude helps your brain
    • Why gratitude helps your mental well being
    • The long lasting effects of gratitude

In simplest terms, gratitude is just reorganizing your thoughts from negative to positive. If you're grateful for what you have now then you are going to get more of it.

96 | Rewriting the Narrative Of Our Fears & Traumas with Mac Brazina (The Human Builder) Jul 21, 2021
    Show notes

We all have a story we tell ourselves, usually based on past experiences and events in our lives, but what if we want to change that? Where do we even start? Today, we have the special honor of being joined by Mac Brazina, The Human Builder, who helps breakdown rewriting the narrative of our fears and traumas. Mac has such a powerful way with words and her story is both beautiful and inspiring.

Listen along so you can learn:

    • What theme you need to change in order to rewrite your narrative
    • Why physiology plays such a large role in changing your narrative
    • The steps to take to begin to change your narrative
    • Why simplicity is so powerful
    • How to understand and integrate the spiritual aspects of yourSELF

Part of us being spiritual beings and having a human experience is that we are meant to feel all aspects of the human experience. We are meant to explore our shadow self and embrace that side of us to fully be present with our higher self. A shadow or a “demon” is just looking for a bit of compassion. When we give them that, we take away their power. We must remember that we already have everything we need within us.

We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did. Please see where to reach Mac and her bio below. As always, happy listening :)

95 | Finding the Sweet Spot Between Your Comfort Zone and Growth Jul 13, 2021
    Show notes

In today’s episode we talk about finding the sweet spot between your comfort zone and growth. In order to grow we must go beyond our comfort zone and to actually have that growth we must really challenge ourselves to go outside of that comfort zone. There’s also a point we don’t want to go beyond, because if we do, we stretch ourselves too thin.

Listen along so you can learn:

    • How to understand your comfort zone
    • When you’ve gone beyond your bandwidth
    • How to increase your bandwidth
    • Why it’s important to stretch yourself

You don’t always have to grow every second of your life but enjoy that new normal once you stretch beyond your comfort zone. Just know that it’s going to come up again where you have that desire to grow or have discontent with the way things are and you will want to challenge yourself again.

    Show notes

How long does it take to change a pattern? This is a question we got from a listener and this is something we really want to discuss. We know there can be so much pressure put on ourselves when it comes to changing or building a habit. In this episode we debunk the myth of it taking 21 days to change and help guide you on your journey so you can create REAL, sustainable transformation in your life.

Listen along so you can learn:

    • Where this myth came from
    • How long it takes to build a habit
    • What steps to take to build a habit

Ultimately we want to remind you that if you get off track when changing or building a habit, it’s okay. It doesn’t mean you can’t or won’t get back on track. It’s the mental chatter that dissuades us from getting back on track.

91 | The 5 Bodies Of Our Being with Dr. Skye Zimmermann Jun 15, 2021
    Show notes

We all have a physical body and we often think that this is who we are... but did you know that we actually have FIVE bodies? In today’s episode Kevin is joined by special guest Dr. Skye Zimmermann to talk about and give better understanding to the 5 bodies of our being.

There are many aspects that make up a human being as an operating system. We are spiritual beings having this human experience so how can we operate this system well on Earth? We start with understanding what science has shown and many mystics have known for eons, which is that everything is energy. Everything is consciousness.

Listen along to this episode so you can learn:

    • What the 5 bodies of our being are
    • How to take care of these 5 bodies
    • Where to start with evolving your 5 bodies

When we learn to nourish and nurture all of these bodies, we become awakened. When we awaken, we step into the ascension process, which is how we let go of things that are false, limiting and not of love. It’s ultimately an experience and part of the experience is choosing love over fear.

If you would love to dive deeper into embodying these bodies and consciously creating your reality, then join Skye and Kevin in their upcoming full day LIVE virtual workshop on Saturday, June 26th! http://bit.ly/5DQuantumManifestationWorkshop

We have heard the word compassion and we have a general sense of what that means but what about self compassion? Today we are joined by a very special guest, Dr. Kristin Neff, author of Fierce Self Compassion. She is a pioneer in the field of self compassion research. Listen as she shares her story on how she discovered her work and really her purpose.

In this episode you will learn:

    Dr. Kristin Neff's bio:

Dr. Kristin Neff is currently an Associate Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. She is a pioneer in the field of self-compassion research, conducting the first empirical studies on self-compassion almost twenty years ago. In addition to writing numerous academic articles and book chapters on the topic, she is author of the book Self-Compassion: The Proven Power of Being Kind to Yourself. In conjunction with her colleague Dr. Chris Germer, she has developed an empirically supported training program called Mindful Self-Compassion, which is taught by thousands of teachers worldwide. They co-authored the Mindful Self Compassion Workbook and Teaching the Mindful Self- Compassion Program: A Guide for Professionals. Her newest work focuses on how to balance self- acceptance with the courage to make needed change. In June 2021, she will publish Fierce Self-Compassion: How Women Can Harness Kindness to Speak Up, Claim Their Power, and Thrive.
