8ball - Fu*k That Guy, Dance & Help Puerto Rico - Sept 2017 Oct 01, 2017

Show notes

Here's my mix for September (coming in under the wire). Bit of disco, some funk, and a little house. Hope it helps provide some distraction from the vile shit show playing out at the w̶h̶i̶t̶e̶ ̶h̶o̶u̶s̶e̶ golf course this weekend. And if you have a second, consider texting "REDCROSS" to 90999 to donate $10, which (according to the interwebz) should provide aid to the American citizens in Puerto Rico who are totally hosed right now.

ShOOey RIPEcast - Live From Bubbles & Bass BM 2015 Aug 23, 2017

Show notes

One of my most memorable sets in my 8 trips to Burning Man was at Bubbles & Bass in 2015. If you were there that night, you'll know what I'm talking about. Despite my best laid plans, the playa had other plans for me. My awesome friend Marvin scheduled me for his curated night at Bubbles & Bass called Bourbon & Breaks on Thursday night. When I found out that I would have to miss BM because of work, Marvin adjusted the schedule without me in it. When I contacted him at the last minute that I was indeed coming, he squeezed me back into the lineup! My journey to Burning Man 2015 was nothing that I had expected but everything I could have asked for. Perhaps that was the reason why I enjoyed my set so much at Bourbon & Breaks. I left this set unreleased for almost 2 years and since I can't make it to Burning Man this year with my knee, I want to offer this recording from that night as a soundtrack to wherever your journey takes you, whether it be Burning Man, Oregon, or maybe just the office. Enjoy! ShOOey RIPEcast - Fourteen Jul 12, 2017

Show notes

I'm back again celebrating another year of my birth and another year of DJ'ing with a new mix, Fourteen. My 14th year was a challenge after having 4 knee surgeries since April 2016. I am still working through my mobility but I didn't allow that to slow me down from gigs. My "downtime" from physical activity gave me some extra time to work on a tour with Wes Smith. We had a chance to meet new & old friends in LA, San Diego, Seattle, Orlando, NYC, as well as my home turf in SF. Thanks to everyone that has supported me over the years, including #14! photo credit: Devo Frohne Sat 7/14: Berkeley Bliss (CA) info: facebook.com/events/466036827080867 tix: bit.ly/HUSHbb17 Fri-Mon 7/27-31: Electric Love Music Festival (BC, Canada) info: electriclovemusicfestival.com ★ FB fan page: facebook.com/djshooey ★ More ShOOey mixes: soundcloud.com/spacecowboys/sets/shooey ★ Soundcloud: @djshooey
