Mancub RIPEcast Live from Loveboat Halloween Nov 29, 2017

Show notes

This week on the Space Cowboys RIPEcast, we are featuring DJ Mancub with his live set from the recent Loveboat Halloween event. Here are a few words from Mancub: I love Halloween. Friday night at Love Boat was epic. It was not too crowded and I was able to spend time in each room without losing my crew. The Art and sound systems were on point. I really enjoyed myself this year. The night flew by and finally it was time for my closing set on Unimog stage outside. Murphstar had a full crowd on the dance floor before I started. I had spent a couple weeks working on my set and it all flowed nice!

Ben Anderson RIPEcast Live from Loveboat 2017 Nov 08, 2017

Show notes

This week we are bringing you one of our very own Space Cowboys, Ben Anderson with his live set from the recent Loveboat Halloween event. Here are a few words from Ben: The set started in 2013 when Jenee (ms. mancub) asked me to play a ragga breaks set for her birthday party, which I never got around to playing. But, I finally got back to it and decided to fill it out with some booty! It’s always ridiculously fun playing on the mog, and this year’s LoveBoat was no exception. It was fun warming it up for 8Ball, who absolutely destroyed it! Keep an eye out for his set when it posts. Enjoy!

Nugz RIPEcast Guest Mix Live from Dusty Rhino Afterburn Nov 01, 2017

Show notes

This week on the RIPEcast we feature Nugz from the Dusty Rhino crew. Here is a bit more about Nugz..... Bay Area native Nugz got his start in the 90's with residencies at Vinyl in Denver, and Soma in Boulder, CO which at the time was rated one of the top ten clubs in the U.S. by BPM magazine. Since moving back to San Francisco in 2004, he has made his mark creating late night soirees with his production company Footprint Sound, at a special little warehouse in Soma known as "123". Heavily entrenched in that underground sound, his parties are regarded by true nightlife professionals as some of the best in the city. Nugz's musical selections under cover of darkness, revolve around House/Techno and UK Nu Skool breaks that range from deep, melodic, sexy, to dark, dirty, nasty, funky, grindy, techy, electro. Daylight hours, you may find him spinning trip hop, down tempo, mid tempo and classic hip hop, along with sexy deep house and funk all over the bay area at places like bars, lounges, back yards, yachts, pools, rooftops, basements, lofts/warehouses, Bay To Breakers, campouts, sidewalks, Decompression or Golden Gate Park. He is currently the sound engineer and resident DJ for the Dusty Rhino mutant vehicle, where he's also a founding member. --------------- Don't forget to pickup your pre-sale tickets for the Space Cowboys 18th Annual Breakfast of Champions event on New Years Day in San Francisco!!!! Block & Crown RIPEcast Guest Mix Oct 24, 2017

Show notes

This week we are honored to bring you one of the hottest names in house music, Block & Crown. These guys have been dominating the Jackin' House charts for both Traxsource and Beatport with at least 10 of their tracks in each, and show no signs of slowing down. Their unique style is a combination of all the things we love about house music; stompy beats, those o-so-good disco/funk loops, infectious baselines, some 80’s hip-hop loops, and some good old grit at just the right spots. Block & Crown has been featured on more labels than we can count including Rawtone Black, PornoStar, Guesthouse, InStereo, Tactical, and No Definition. We recommend you play this one with the volume knob set to 10. You can catch more of Block & Crown here: https://soundcloud.com/blockcrown https://www.facebook.com/BlockandCrownOfficial Don't miss the Space Cowboys along with 80 other artist/djs at the upcoming LOVEBOAT HALLOWEEN event on Friday October 27th and Saturday October 28th at Pier 70 in San Francisco.
