    Private Practice Success Stories

    My name is Jena Castro-Casbon, MS CCC-SLP (of The Independent Clinician and The Private Practice Solution).

    I am part of a group of private practitioners who have taken client care into our own hands.

    We are skilled clinicians who pride ourselves on providing high-quality care to our clients and their families.

    We are fighting against productivity requirements, administrative red tape and unnecessary restrictions.

    We started our own private practices to take control of our professional and personal lives. Of our schedules. Of our incomes. Of our future.

    We work hard for our clients but on our terms.

    We believe in helping others – but also helping ourselves.

    We’re not interested in competing with each other. We hope that we all make it.

    We are successful private practitioners and these are our stories.

Her fortuitous move to Dallas led her to the start of her private practice. Currently she has a booming multidisciplinary clinic serving children and adults. Stephanie’s specialties include providing therapy to adults with dysphagia and neurogenic communication disorders and children with autism spectrum disorders.

    "Self-Care for Private Practitioners" with Katie Samples-Willams, SLP Apr 04, 2019

    Katie Samples-Williams, SLP experience as a speech-language pathologist is incredibly unique. She joined her parents' 40 year old private practice, directly following her clinical fellowship year, and she currently works alongside her father. While their patients have included everyone from infants and centenarians, their private practice specializes in dysphagia and laryngectomy treatment. Katie also has a professional interest in the wellbeing of speech-language pathologists as a community and in applying a holistic approach to client care.
