4-Part Framework for Landing Investors with Entrepreneur Investor Ben Chatraw

Throughout this entire episode, Ben shares his 4-part framework that he uses when looking at potential investments. The first and most important part of this is the person they are investing in, not just the product or service. (People make up more than 51% of the value.) As an investor, Ben says he wants confidence in the charter of the person that he is investing in.

You can never eliminate risk, but Ben wants to work with people that have a plan for when these risks come into play. Money is not the most important part of getting a deal with an investor, there are more important elements that need to be considered.

    4-Part Framework for Landing Investors:

    #1. People

    #2. Opportunity

    #3. Context

    #4. Deal

The Importance of Sleep and Why You Need More of It – with Drew King

Sleep matters because it’s 1/3rd of our lives. We should take sleep VERY seriously. It’s 1/3rd of our lives. When most people think about a healthy lifestyle, they think about eating healthy foods and exercise. What may surprise people is that sleep is equivalent to the other two. The three go together. They are like a 3 spoke wheel, each spoke needs to be the same size or the wheel is not going to turn smoothly.

The sweet spot is between 7 and 8 hours. People who are only getting 5 are not operating at their optimal level. (If you are getting less than 7, you’re more prone to getting sick. Sleep affects the majority of the organs in your body.)

People who sleep less than 7 hours per day are 30% more at risk of becoming obese. Prolonged lack of quality sleep can lead to depression and anxiety. Routine and consistency is important. You cannot bank sleep. If you’re “averaging” 7, but it’s 4 one night and 9-10 the next night, that’s not healthy.
    Additional topics we cover:

    • A list of things that you need to do in order to have a quality night sleep.
    • A list of the main enemies of good sleep.
    • A trick to get yourself to fall back asleep quicker when you wake up in the middle of the night.
    • The 4 stages of sleep and what each does.
    • How to diagnose sleep apnea.

The goal is a healthy mind and healthy body. You cannot have this without a good night of sleep. Entrepreneurs needs to be on their game. You cannot do that without being on you’re a game. Sleep plays a bigger part of this than most people ever realize. For optimal efficiency, you need to get 7-8 hours of sleep.

How Millionaires Learn, Grow and Achieve More with Steve Cunningham

The goal of reading books is not just to read the book. It’s to learn something from it. In order to learn it – You have to pull actionable steps out of the book and apply them to your life/business. Putting what you learn into ACTION is the most important part of reading and learning. Just expanding your knowledge or checking another book off a list is meaningless.

You have to learn how to unlearn what you’ve learned.

The real world doesn’t care how much you know; it cares about how much you can do. Learning is not how to pass a test, it’s to change a long-term behavior.

    HOW DO WE DO THIS?

    7 stages of growth:

    1. Set a goal.
    2. Set a learning goal.
    3. Acquire the knowledge.
    4. Putting it into action.
    5. Create a behavior.
    6. How do you continue this behavior in the future.
    7. How do I help the people that I’m leading to achieve the same and change their long-term behavior in the future.

In addition, Steve went on to explain how to get other team-members to learn and take initiative to improve themselves. There are very specific ways to do this if you wish to be effective.

Want a free Read It For Me membership???

Steve was kind enough to offer a FREE one-year membership to all of our readers. I highly recommend you taking advantage of this offer. Here's the exclusive link: https://readitfor.me/alex

Designing the Ultimate Customer Experience with Jesse Cole

Jesse Cole is the owner of a baseball team. He and his team sell out 4000+ seats to every single game and there is even a waiting list to get tickets. But Jesse started his first season by selling only ONE ticket. He learned a lot about designing the ultimate customer experience that helped him become a success. Jesse share's his wisdom with us in this episode.

5 Steps for designing the ultimate customer experience:

    Step #1: Solve problems
What are the problems in your industry? (Every industry has them!)

    Step #2: Normal vs Opposite
Plan, then define, what a normal experience looks like. Then do the opposite. (It can be weird, you have to be willing to look weird) Do the exact opposite of what’s considered normal.

    Step #3: Customer journey
What happens in the transitions? How can you make the process transitions stand out? With your invoices, with product transit times? Do you design the emotions that you want your fans to feel?

    Step #4: Fans first mentality
Who are you, what do you stand for? This goes beyond your mission statement; this is your culture. Great leaders say the same thing over and over again. Can the people around you imitate you?

    Step #5: Connection.
Spread love and passion with your fans.

If you want to grow more personally and professionally, you need to join (or start) a mastermind. Aaron Walker explains the never-ending power of a mastermind group in this episode.

The Never-Ending Power of a Mastermind with Aaron Walker

Aaron said a lot about the never-ending power of a mastermind in this episode, here are a few of the key questions/answered provided throughout this episode:

Is a mastermind group for me?

If you want to grow personally and professionally, then a mastermind is for you. If you prefer doing things alone, then it's not for you. However, if you are the loner type, you need to rethink your mentality. You will always go further in a mastermind - It's for you if you want to grow.

How can I find a good mastermind group for me?

A healthy mastermind is all about finding a group that lines up with your core values. In a healthy mastermind, you leave no stone unturned. You need to talk about everything. Personal, business, faith and all the details in between. Some of the conversations are even uncomfortable. This is about diving deep!

How do I lead a healthy mastermind group?

The overall success of a mastermind is determined by the facilitator. The group will match the facilitators transparency. If you want your members to start sharing, you have to share first. (Even if you’re not the leader, be willing to share.)
