Joe Ovies and Joe Giglio are live to tape as North Carolina and Bill Belichick continue their "will they or won't they" dance. And just like Ovies predicted, there was an update to the "Chapel Bill" saga the moment he his export on the episode. According to WTVD, as of 11:30am, the UNC Board of Trustees is set to meet today to approve contract for Belichick to be next head coach at UNC. But the podcast rolls on, including a great conversation with North Carolina Women's soccer coach Damon Nehas following the Tar Heels College Cup victory. In the Lightning Round, the guys hit on Duke and NC State hoops. Plus, some more roster attrition for the Carolina Hurricanes despite getting a win over the San Jose Sharks.

Joe Ovies and Joe Giglio open things up with the College Football Playoff. Did they get the 12 teams right? Meanwhile, in the college football coaching carousel, North Carolina continues to dance with Bill Belichick. While Ovies & Giglio still think it's a leverage play from Belichick to speed up an NFL coaching job, there could be something else going on that shows UNC isn't truly serious about running a real college football program. While App State and Charlotte named their new coaches, NC State is looking for a new defensive coordinator ahead of their bowl game against ECU. To the NFL, where the Carolina Panthers had another "shoulda coulda" game. Regardless of the outcome, the Panthers are back to being watchable and have elements of a capable football team in the future. In the Lightning Round, the guys hit on NC State, UNC and Duke hoops, along with the Carolina Hurricanes. The show closes with the OG Sports Phone and a mild rant.

Joe Ovies and Joe Giglio are at the Copiers Plus holiday party in Fayetteville and will only recognize the ACC/SEC Challenge wins. Which counts up to *checks notes* 2!? Not a great week for the conference given the College Football Playoff implications and getting absolutely handled in the made-for-television college basketball challenge. Conversation opens up with Duke growing up in their win over Auburn before transitioning to the clear problems for North Carolina and NC State. Can the Tar Heels find a defensive edge or will their season simply come down to their offense having to be perfect to have a chance. For the Wolfpack, they're still looking for their "bus driver". At the end of the day, the ACC needs wins to change how people talk about the conference. Given the early season woes, Ovies things commish Jim Phillips needs an apology.

The guys close out the podcast pondering former North Carolina head coach Mack Brown's future, which seems tailor made for the ACC Network.

Joe Ovies and Joe Giglio open the show with a simple question. Who was more upset last night -- ACC commish Jim Phillips or Carolina Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour? It's pretty clear the College Football Playoff committee is going to screw the ACC again. Best case scenario is for Clemson to win the conference title game in a tight one and hope SMU sneaks in as an at-large. Meanwhile, the Canes did not bounce back from lackluster games against the Florida Panthers. Making matters worse, they got snowed on a goalie interference call. Are the Canes gonna be OK? The Athletic's Brendan Marks joins the podcast to discuss the ACC's terrible start to the ACC/SEC Challenge before transitioning to North Carolina and Duke. Right now the Tar Heels have a size and defense issue. The Blue Devils? It's all about getting old quick.
