Projecting the Browns' 53-man roster Aug 28, 2022

The Browns will set their initial 53-man roster between now and the league's 4 p.m. deadline on Tuesday. While the top of the roster seems relatively stable, there are plenty of decisions to be made at the bottom of the roster.

Mary Kay Cabot, Ashley Bastock, Irie Harris and Dan Labbe used today's podcast to try to project what the Browns will do with their roster between now and Tuesday. They lay out the sure things and then fill out the roster on each side of the ball.

4 things to watch when the Browns play the Bears in preseason finale Aug 26, 2022

The Browns wrap up their preseason on Saturday night at FirstEnergy Stadium when they host the Bears at 7 p.m. Head coach Kevin Stefanski already announced Jacoby Brissett will start the game and other starters will play as well.

Mary Kay Cabot, Ashley Bastock, Irie Harris and Dan Labbe looked ahead to Saturday night's game by each offering up something to watch. From Brissett to the wide receivers to running backs and the defensive formations, they get into what they want to see in the Browns' final warmup for the regular season opener in Carolina on Sept. 11.

Making the case for roster moves the Browns should make Aug 25, 2022

As the final preseason game approaches, the Browns will face a number of roster decisions prior to Tuesday's cut-down to 53 players.

Mary Kay Cabot, Ashley Bastock, Irie Harris and Dan Labbe each pick one thing they believe the team should or shouldn't do between now and then and make their case for it. Then everyone else reacts to it.

Is there a quarterback move they should make? What about the receiver position? Is there a player on the bubble who could end up being valuable if injuries hit? They each make their cases.

Bonus pod: Postgame interview with Browns defensive end Alex Wright Aug 22, 2022

One of the bright spots in Browns training camp and preseason so far has been defensive end Alex Wright. He's had plenty of opportunity, too, with Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney not playing in the preseason.

Wright appears to have the third edge rusher job locked down and he's soaking up as much knowledge as possible from Garrett and Clowney as the third round pick embarks on the start of his NFL career.

Dan Labbe caught up with Wright in the locker room after the game. Here's the interview presented as a bonus pod.

The NFL and NFLPA reached a settlement on Thursday suspending Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson for the first 11 games of the 2022 season. The suspension means the Browns and Watson can move forward with some clarity as the season approaches.

Mary Kay Cabot, Ashley Bastock and Dan Labbe discussed Watson's suspension on this podcast.

They start by talking about the suspension itself and if Watson's camp should be happy with where it landed. Then they discuss what Watson had to say today as well as what owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam said following the announcement.

In the second half of the podcast, they turn their attention to the football side of things. How do the Browns need to perform in the first 11 games to give themselves a chance? What can we realistically expect from Watson when he does return?

It has been a week for Anthony Schwartz. The Browns receiver struggled on Friday night, but bounced back on Tuesday ahead of joint practices with the Eagles, putting an early drop behind him and catching a long touchdown pass from Jacoby Brissett in two-minute. It was an encouraging sign.
