Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson looked as sharp as he has all training camp on Monday. He has been playing with the second team the last two days with Jacoby Brissett moving up to the first team.

Why does Watson seem so loose? Mary Kay Cabot, Ashley Bastock and Dan Labbe talked Watson's on-field performance on Monday before discussing the latest on the appeal process and what a year-long suspension would mean for how we judge the trade for Watson.

Then they talk about Kareem Hunt and comments Stump Mitchell made on Monday about how he could be the best back in the league if he learned to be a more patient runner. Why did Mitchell feel it necessary to say it?

Jacoby Brissett is the man now for the Browns -- or, at least, for the foreseeable future. As they prepare for life without Deshaun Watson, whether it's six games or more, the Browns and head coach Kevin Stefanski gave Jacoby Brissett most of the first-team work on Sunday and it will stay that way moving forward.

Mary Kay Cabot, Ashley Bastock and Dan Labbe start the podcast by talking about the switch and spend time discussing what could prompt the NFLPA to take the NFL to court once the appeal ruling comes down. Then they get into how the Browns offense will look with Brissett compared to how it will look with Watson.

In the second half of the podcast, they talk about Greg Newsome II dealing with a hamstring injury and revisit if the Browns should bring back JC Tretter to play center.

The Browns opened their preseason against Jacksonville on Friday night. It was also the first time Deshaun Watson played in a Browns uniform, starting the game as both he and the team await final word on his suspension.

Watson looked rusty and Mary Kay Cabot, Ashley Bastock and Dan Labbe discussed his performance. They also discussed his pregame interview as part of the team's game broadcast.

The preseason is upon us and the 2022 Browns will take the field for the first time on Friday night at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville against the Jaguars. Deshaun Watson is scheduled to start for the Browns unless Peter C. Harvey rules between now and kickoff he is suspended indefinitely for at least a year, at which point, he would not be allowed to play.

Mary Kay Cabot, Ashley Bastock and Dan Labbe start the podcast by talking about why the Browns need to look into Jimmy Garoppolo if Watson does receive a significant suspension. The NFL decided to appeal Deshaun Watson's suspension on Wednesday and is, once again, seeking an indefinite suspension of at least a year. The appeal will be heard by either Roger Goodell or his designee.
