Click the post for details on this episode! With over 110 remixes to his name—including tracks by Madonna (“Miles Away”), Katy Perry (“I Kissed A Girl”), Tegan & Sara (“Back In Your Head”), and La Roux (“Bulletproof”)—Morgan Page has earned a solid reputation for transferring insatiable pop energy to the dance floor in the form of banging, progressive house tracks. High ranking spots on iTunes’ dance chart, Beatport’s progressive chart, and Billboard’s club charts affirmed his salability, while an ’09 Grammy nomination for Deadmau5’s remix of Page’s “The Longest Road” simultaneously bolstered his underground cred while spotlighting his skills as a songwriter. In 2010, Page will release Believe, a powerful, captivating album that makes good on his International Dance Music Awards nomination as Best Breakthrough Artist, and typifies his journey from bootleg remixer to award-winning producer and world renown DJ. Having long jettisoned his status as an up-and-comer, Page is ready to step into the next phase of his career, firmly joining the ranks of established “triple threat” DJs, producers, and remixers like Kaskade, Deadmau5, and Eric Prydz. It’s no surprise that the dance music scene is already buzzing about Believe. “I want to work with singer/songwriters who have depth to their lyrics, and I’m trying to bring influences in from other genres,” says Page. “It’s tragic to see all the tracks on Beatport that are just made for clubs. They’re great for what they are, but it’s not necessarily something you want to have in your car on repeat, or listen to again in 10 years. This album is really a reflection of myself, and I want these songs to last a long time.” Morgan Page's Myspace - Click HERE Morgan Page's Website - Click HERE Morgan Page's Track List: 01) Axwell - Nothing But Love (Remode Mix) 02) Dan Castro - High Tide 03) Adrian Lux - Teenage Crime (Axwell & Henrik B Remix) 04) Pryda - The End 05) EDX - Hoover (Adam K Remix) 06) Max Vangeli feat. Having produced some of the most notable club tracks over the past few years with trio Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren, Shawn has thoroughly established himself as a creative force within the Electronic Dance Music (EDM) scene. His chart topping, innovative productions include, “Man On The Run”, “You Never Said”, “Light The Skies” and his global hit “Beggin’ You”, remixed by Armin van Buuren, world’s #1 DJ. As a result, Shawn’s masterful collection of productions has consistently positioned him atop all major dance and download charts, with nearly every top DJ in the industry supporting his cutting-edge body of work. As a producer, Shawn’s skills are in constant demand as he is no stranger to working with, and remixing for the likes of Armin van Buuren, Markus Schlulz, and Andy Moor amongst others. In addition to his solo production work and remix projects, Shawn is currently working together with partners Matt Cerf & Jaren on their debut artist album for Armada Music, set to be released during early 2010, followed by a slew of international tour dates. As a DJ, Shawn’s abilities to keep crowds mesmerized and energized, with his flawless mixing and track selection, assure that his unique talents are in constant demand. He currently occupies residencies at world-renowned super clubs “The Church,” and “Vinyl” in Denver, Colorado, and has shared billings with some of the biggest DJs in the world, including Moby, Tiesto, and Armin van Buuren, to name a few. During 2009, word of Shawn’s exceptional talent has garnered rave reviews, as he has exploded onto the international tour scene. #029 | September 16th, 2010: Erwin Tjoe & Sean Johnson Sep 16, 2010
    Show notes

Click the post for details on this episode! Born in Indonesia but raised in the San Fernando Valley, Tjoe was markedly influenced by American music from very early childhood. Mixing, then ultimately DJing only came natural - especially through his eclectic taste and extensive knowledge of music. Notably, Erwin made an appearance at Nikki Beach in South Beach, Miami during the Winter Music Conference in 2008. Most recently, he appeared on Steve Porter’s “Porterhouse Show” on Sirius XM. Erwin prides himself on giving his many audiences what will drive them to get out on that dance floor, and he spins tracks only for that particular crowd for their distinct mood. Tjoe feels that connectedness to the audience thus being empowered to affect the crowd through the tempo and mood of the music. If you have experienced Tjoe on the decks first-hand, then you feel it, too. Since then, our similar taste in quality deep house has kept us friends. He was introduced to the scene in the early 90's after moving to Los Angeles from NYC. While working at a record store in Huntington Beach, a friend took him to his first all-night party. It was there that he was drawn to the booth by a song called "Spice" by Eon. He continued to follow DJs until he got his own turntables in 1997. In 2003, Sean started playing out in clubs and picked up his first residency for LA's longest running Sunday party, EM Sundays. Since then he has played at venues such as the Standard, Hollywood Canteen, Cabana Club and Circus to name a few. Not only has his 4+ years as an EM resident kept him busy, he has also produced tracks released on Redeye Records. Keep your eyes our for Sean - he's a great talent. Click the post for details on this episode! Today, Open House is proud to feature exclusive sets by two DJ's out of LA who I think really rock it... Having worked with music since his teenage years, Christopher Reddick first exchanged his guitars for turntables in 2003. After a relocation to Los Angeles in 2005, he began hosting the Shake Down Trance Podcast on the iTunes Music Store which still stands as one of the longest running electronic music podcasts online. In 2009, his production 'Sound of Flight', a collaboration with Michael Calderone, found its way into the trance charts and landed a spot on Markus Schulz's yearly compilation CD. Reddick continues his efforts in the studio and looks forward to future releases slated on labels Progressive Grooves and Electric Candy (the label owned by past Open House guest, Thomas Penton).
