    Episode 40: Pikjools Jun 30, 2012
    Show notes

A long time ago in a Skype chat far far away, we recorded this episode of Connectivity. Actually, we did it this week, so I guess that's not really very long ago, but you get the point. On this episode, we're kicking off a three week series on the Pikmin franchise, with a discussion of the original Pikmin for the GameCube. Some people say it is the best. Are any of those people on this episode? You'll have to listen to find out. Following that, Neal, with some help from Patrick, interviews owner and director of Renegade Kid, Jools Watsham. They talk about basically every game Renegade Kid has released on the eShop. Spoilers: there are a lot of them. After the show proper ends, stay awhile and listen to Scott, James Dawson, and Nate talk shop about Diablo III. Please accept our apologies for the less than perfect audio on the interview segment. There's only so much post-production can fix. We love you, especially when you write to us. Please send your listener mail questions to connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com, and rate and review the show on iTunes. See you next week!

Finishing up the show the 3DS Circle Pad Pro was discussed as well as all the news that came out of Nintendo's annual shareholder's meeting. If you ever have anything you want to tell us, feel free to write in.

    Show notes

Remember when everyone was mad about the Nintendo E3 press conference? Well, what a swift turn of events, as palpable rage has acquiesced into quiet befuddlement. Here to break down the events of Nintendo's, what, like third press conference this week, are Scott, Andy, and Grant. The gents go over what was revealed (or not so revealed, in any case) at the 3DS-centric event. Enjoy the show. This will probably be the last podcast until next week, but who knows, we might just all find something else we want to complain about. In the meantime, click here to send us some listener mail!

Episode 37: We All Scream For E3 May 31, 2012
    Show notes

(The lights dim in the tightly packed theater. The crowd cheers emphatically as the Connectivity logo appears on the screen at center stage. Loud techno and dubstep tracks test the fortitude of the theater speakers while some of Connectivity's greatest moments play out on the screen. After a few minutes, the sizzle reel ends and the lights come up. The speakers crack as the announcer's voice bellows "and now, please welcome to the stage, Director of Nintendo World Report and host of Connectivity, Neal "Baby Face" Ronaghan!") Thank you, it is a pleasure to be here. It's been a great year for Connectivity, and we are excited today to talk about the future. To talk about things to come. But first, we must talk about the past, for everything has one. Even the future. I'd like to welcome to the stage Zach "Long, Latin Name for a Dinosaur" Miller and Andy "Where the Hell is Pikmin 3?" Goergen. Now, let's talk about the past. Specifically, E3 2002. (Lights dim again) (Later...) Now, the moment you've been waiting for. Our predictions and forecasts for E3 2012. How much time will Nintendo devote to Wii U and to the 3DS? Which third parties will come out in strong support of the Wii U? What surprises might still lurk in the shroud? Well, we have some ideas. Let's welcome Scott "I'm Not Going to Make Up My Own Nickname" Thompson to the stage for our E3 2012 segment. (Later...) That does it for this year's E3 prediction conference, er, episode. Thanks for joining us today. By time we record another proper episode, E3 will be over, but if you'd like, send in your predictions to Connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com. Maybe we'll revisit them and see just how wrong we all were. Stay tuned next week, as we should have a few podcasts going up throughout E3 with our reactions to the news and reveals. Oh, and go buy a Connectivity shirt. That would be awesome.
