Neal is back from vacation and joins Patrick to discuss some Nintendo news. We now know what the Wii U game boxes will look like, and it is just one of the topics discussed on this week's show. Other items include the golden nunchuck, a new puzzle swap panel, and Skylanders. If you ever have anything you want to tell us, feel free to write in.

Episode 45: How the Other Half Lives Aug 04, 2012
    Show notes

Welcome to episode 45 of Connectivity! We've got two segments for you this week. Kicking things off, Scott, Danny, and Zach sit down to talk about all the games they've been playing recently. While Zach has been enjoying the 8-bit Summer, Scott has been slowly making his way through Xenoblade Chronicles. Danny, on the other hand, has revisited the GameCube classic Eternal Darkness. Or is it an insanity effect? After that, the meat of the show arrives. Danny and Daan join Scott to talk about all the great things that haven't come to America yet, like the 3DS XL, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Oni Training, and more. If you live in North America and are patiently waiting for these things to arrive, this segment should be plenty to hold you over. As always, you can send us mail to Connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com. If you get a chance to rate and review us on iTunes, that's be great, too. And I'm sure you are already planning on doing so, but be sure to tune into Radio Free Nintendo's 300th show this weekend. It should be a good one!

Other news this weeks involves the future of E3, Nano Assault EX, and the Nintendo Downloads. If you ever have anything you want to tell us, feel free to write in.

    Episode 44: A Nice Little Romp Jul 28, 2012
    Show notes

This is a show about video games, right? Well then, let's talk about them. First off, Carmine, Andrew, and Danny talk about their massive backlogs. How big is yours? I bet ours are bigger. Does the number 50 impress you, because it's pretty close to that. Yeah, I know, don't get me started. After that, Neal, Patrick, and Zach talk about the games they actually HAVE played. It's another installment of our evolving Game of the Year list, where we chronicle the best games of the year. I hope your favorite made the list. And since we couldn't help it, if you stick around after the "real" part of the show, you can listen to Neal, Scott, and Zach blabber on about The Dark Knight Rises. Warning: Spoilers are all up in this segment. We're fishing for questions, so send yours to connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com. And if you've got a moment, please rate and review the show on iTunes!

Newcomer Ariel joins Patrick to party on this weeks edition of Connectibites News Digest. After a brief introduction, Ariel and Patrick discuss Skylanders, Club Nintendo, eShop sales, and of course this weeks Nintendo downloads. After the news is covered there was enough time to discuss Ariel's impressions of the Wii U game, Rabbids Land. If you ever have anything you want to tell us, feel free to write in.

Episode 43: The Big Show Jul 21, 2012
    Show notes

Welcome one and all to a fabulous podcast of the Nintendo variety: Connectivity. Episode 43, to be precise. To begin, we open with a segment from Scott, James, and Patrick about this summer's big licensed games. Did they all stink, or did perhaps one of them rise up from the pit of horrible licensed games hell to save us all? After that, we one-up our Jeopardy segments with a new game show inspired segment: Who Wants to be a Nintendoaire? Stick around if you'd like, after the show ends, for a bonus segment on The Amazing Spider-Man. Don't forget, you can email us at connectivity@nintendoworldreport.com, and if you rate and review the show on iTunes we will love you forever.

    Connectibites News Digest: July 18, 2012 Jul 18, 2012
    Show notes

Not much has happened in the past few days, but that doesn't stop us from delivering a Connectibite this week. Patrick and Neal talk about a new Club Nintendo reward, this weeks 3DS Virtual Console games, and tons of Heroes of Ruin. Look forward to next weeks show when we should be back to our normal day and length. If you ever have anything you want to tell us, feel free to write in.

Episode 42: To the Rhythm of the Beat Jul 14, 2012
    Show notes

Connectivity returns this week with episode 42, featuring the past, present, and future of Nintendo-related content. Kicking things off is the final installment in our Pikmin series, focusing this week on Pikmin 3. Join JP, Andy, and Carmine as they discuss what we know and what they hope is on the horizon for the Wii U launch title. If you can believe it, they even flirt with the idea of Pikmin 4, too. After that, Nicholas returns with another entry in his award winning* N-Focus series. This week's segment is all about the history of Game and Watch. Lastly, Neal, Scott, Danny, and Nate sit down to talk about their latest obsession - Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. If you are on the fence about this game, this segment should definitely win you over. And if you already have the game, well, you probably aren't listening to this because you are too busy playing. As always, you can click here to send us listener mail. Let us know what you thought about the three week long Pikmin series. If a big hit, we may just start doing more of those. Oh, and on a personal note, I (Scott) have now officially been with Nintendo World Report for one year. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who listened, commented, emailed, tweeted me, and everything else. I can't put into words how amazing it is to be doing this show for such an excellent audience. Thanks for everything. See you next week. *Winner of the 2012 "Boner Jam" award, presented by Scott Thompson.

    Connectibites News Digest: July 13, 2012 Jul 13, 2012
    Show notes

There are not nearly as many bombshell news announcements as weeks prior, but that doesn't give us a reason to not enjoy talking about the news we did get. Patrick and Neal talk about The Last Story's recent release date announcement, the possibility of an online mode in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and the Club Nintendo rewards. As always we also go through the Nintendo downloads. Finishing up the segment is a look at two new games, Heroes of Ruin and Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure. If you ever have anything you want to tell us, feel free to write in.

    Episode 41: Forever Incomplete Jul 07, 2012
    Show notes

As the barren summer months roll on towards a promising and bountiful fall, what better time than now for some somber reflection? Kicking off episode 41, Neal and Zach talk about their lists of games they'll never, ever finish. Not that the games are bad, per se, but with Neal's model airplane hobby and Zach's burgeoning male model career, who has the time to play every game he wants anymore? Have some games that will forever be relegated to your backlog? Tell us about them! Next, we have the second installment of our Pikmin series, focusing this week on Pikmin 2. JP, Andy, and Zach discuss the often-overlooked sequel before JP reveals that it is his favorite GameCube game EVER. Crazy, or just crazy enough to work? Closing the show out is a bonus segment about Gravity Rush for the PS Vita (boo! hiss! snicker!), featuring Neal, Zach, and James. I can't make any dumb jokes here, because I frankly don't know what the hell a PS Vita is. As always, you can send us listener mail by clicking here. Oh, and don't forget to review us on iTunes. See you next week for every podcast's milestone episode - number 42!
