Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we are encouraged to spread the love of Jesus. I hope our testimonies change the hearts of those around us.
"I hope we get to tell the whole world just how loved they are. This verse says we are to tell the whole creation. Yeah that means every single person on this planet. They are loved, they are treasured!

May we become like a virus. A virus of love. May our testimonies cause a chain reaction in the hearts of the people around us. May our love penetrate every cell and take over it's machinery. May the way we treat them be a direct reflection of Jesus.

Like I opened today's devotional, a virus cannot live without a host. If we are to infect the world with the love of Jesus, we must never separate from the Holy host. The Holy Bible."

I'm After Life Changing Fruit, Are You? Jul 30, 2020

Join me Alison Elizabeth as we read out of John 15:11 and look to Jesus to fill the joy we all seek. We look to the word of God for answers and a response to all that happens around us.
"There are answers to all of our questions. I know the news is overwhelming, I know everyday it's something new. I know this year has been tough and sometimes we cry, sometimes we laugh. But we have a response to every tear, every question, and everything going on around us. We just need to crack open the book and read for ourselves.

If you read John 15:1 - 11 Jesus talks about the how important it is for us to remain in Him. He is the vine and God is the gardener, and we? we are the branches. We cannot bear fruit in this life without a life line, without the vine - and that is Jesus, that is the word of God.

The fruit I want to talk about is not the nice house, perfect job kind of fruit. I am talking about the kind of fruit that sparks ripple affects. The kind of fruit that changes the world through love and commitment to seeing a passion of yours completed."

"I have never personally felt the pain of addiction, I have never felt the pain of losing a child, I have never felt the pain of being unable to conceive.

There are valley's I have walked that you have never been through yourself either.

We all have different pains and different needs for help. But our God is infinite. He is so large and yet also so personal. He can meet you exactly where you are and heal you. All we have to do is ask him, call upon him for help."

Don't You Shower Everyday ? Jul 24, 2020

Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we discover what the bible has to say about meditation. Together we are going to be reading out of Psalm 119:15
"You shower daily, (maybe some of you shower every other day, or maybe some of you even shower twice a day. It's up to debate in some cultures) but no matter the length in between your showers, you do shower often. We shower to clean our bodies of the filth we've come into contact with since our last shower. Sometimes we don't work out in this time but a shower is still necessarily because although you might not see the sweat, your body has naturally shed dead skin cells and other particles that require we shower. Now your mind is exactly the same. Every single day we learn new things, make new discoveries about ourselves and the people around us. We encounter new struggles and new blessings. Meditation is like a shower - for your thoughts and your soul. We can rid our minds of the poison we soaked over the last day. We can have open one on one conversations with God. He can help us file our thoughts and bask in the blessings of our souls. So If you shower everyday, you should definitely meditate everyday! How can you leave your body squeaky clean and forget your mind?"

"Let's learn from this today. God gave you a dream, He gave you a calling. You might have 0 knowledge on how to start a website, how to start an online course, how to write and publish a book. How to land a role on Broadway. Maybe it's a dream in your career or in your family life. Are you going to back out of it because there are other people who are doing exactly the same thing you are and are more skilled? No

You have God on your side, as David had. In David's story he killed Goliath without any trouble. Maybe you don't have an actual person that is in your way, but a dream that's being crushed because there is a Goliath out there already much more seasoned than you, doing exactly what you always dreamed of doing."

Find Rest, Every Single Weekend Jul 17, 2020

Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we get ready for the weekend! We are turning to the bible to see what God has to say about rest. We are reading out of Hebrews 4:9-11 today.
"Well, I turned to the bible to see what it really said. The message is clear over and over again. Genesis says God rested on the 7th day. This verse in Hebrews is asking us to make every effort to be obedient to resting. That means taking a day to rest with Jesus. It means taking a day and unplugging from Social Media, it means taking a day to listen to worship music. Catch up on bible reading, and not work.

God to do more in your 6 days, than you can do alone in 7. So why don't you find a day this weekend and commit to unplugging and spending time basking in the blessings you had this week. Just go back and think of the entire week. Maybe you had a few bad days, but remember that God uses everything for His glory. So try and find his fingerprints in your Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and today. Maybe just maybe you'll feel replenished to take on next week with a whole new attitude."

Let Us Become Meek Jul 10, 2020

Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read Matthew 5:5. I pray we learn to humble ourselves and serve one another.
"Humble yourself. We throw this word around so often, but do we really understand and practice the meaning? Do you lay yourself down for other people? In today's society it's so easy to look at all that's going on and say "wow we are such a selfish society - no one care about anything until it's about something that actually affects them". So I have come to challenge you today. Are you being humble? Or are you pointing a finger at society, starring at a reflection of yourself in the mirror?

One of my favorite giphs is that spider-man gift, where he is pointing at himself. A lot of times that could be the picture of who we are. Blaming society for the very people we are. I know I am guilty of that. I am a person who has to be right. I try to work on that, but it's hard for me to see the other person's opinions on a certain matter, and maybe you are the same.

Well my prayer today is to become more meek. The definition is quite, gentle, teachable, submissive. I hope when others speak, I can quite down and listen to their side of the story, I pray I can empathize with them. I pray I am gentle with my response. I pray I am able to learn something from that person."
