Abington Township is a safe, close-knit community located in the first-ring suburb of Pennsylvania. There’s around 55,000 residents, mostly drawn to the area due to its accessibility, affordability and diversity. In 2016, a teenage girl was reported missing in Abington Township. The investigation would be hampered by her adoptive mother’s reluctance to assist investigators. This only begged the question: did she know more than she was letting on?

It’s estimated that around 35,000 Australians go missing each year. That’s a startling one every 15 minutes. More than half of those that go missing are under 18-years-old. While the majority turn up after hours, days, weeks or even months, there’s a handful that never turn up again, that vanish without a trace. In summer of 2011, a teenage girl vanished in Boronia, Australia, on the way to school. The subsequent search for the teenage girl would become one of the state’s most baffling cases and led to many in the nation questioning whether a dormant child predator had come back for another victim after a twenty-year respite.

In January of 2020, a young woman within the Mennonite community vanished from outside the Mennonite Church in Farmington, New Mexico. The investigation would lead directly to a man within the United States Army, a man who had been harboring ominous sentiments about those in the religion.

In 2017, paramedics and police rushed to an apartment in Alta Vista, Iowa, after receiving a report of a unresponsive baby. When they arrived, the stench that emanated in the air only indicated the horrors that they would find. Clyde is a small city located in Ohio, in the United States. It’s a tight-knit city with a small population and civic pride among the residents. The crime rate in Clyde is extremely low but in Spring of 2015, this quaint city would be rocked by an extremely heinous crime that began to unravel following a gruesome discovery in a car park. The tense investigation into the murder would prove that sometimes, those in charge of murder cases can be extremely corrupt and can sometimes botch or taint an investigation and sometimes, even put their own career before the life of an innocent person.

In March of 2019, a young woman vanished after leaving a bar in Columbia, South Carolina. She had ordered an Uber while standing outside the bar on her own. CCTV footage from outside the bar would capture the young woman entering a vehicle which had pulled up alongside her. By first appearances, it was the Uber that she had ordered. However, by the following morning, the young woman still hadn’t arrived home and an investigation was launched.
