"On May 4, 2001, Bonny Lee Bakley was found fatally shot in a car on a dark North Hollywood street. The prime suspect was her husband, famed actor Robert Blake. But Bonny, a longtime con artist, had plenty of enemies. She left behind a trail of men she’d scammed, and she had a volatile relationship with Christian Brando, the troubled son of movie star Marlon Brando.
Not since the O.J. Simpson case had the eyes of the nation been so fixated on a homicide. The search for Bonny’s killer took detectives on an eleven-month odyssey across the country and through Hollywood's underbelly of hustlers, drug addicts, and would-be hitmen. It would be the most expensive murder investigation in LAPD history to date.

It was around 10PM 12th of December, 2012, when paramedics in Sarasota, Florida, were called to a home where it was reported that a young girl had stopped breathing. When they arrived, it quickly became apparent that the case was much more complex than the caller had portrayed. Not only was the young girl not breathing, she had evident ligature marks across her body.

Hobe Sound is an exurban area located near West Palm Beach in Florida. People are drawn to the area by its pristine beaches and unspoiled parks. In 2016, however, residents of the quaint area would come together to search for a missing woman. Celebration is a 10.7-square mile master planned community located in Florida. It was designed by Disney in the 1990s, so it’s probably not much of a surprise that it’s just a stone’s throw away from the theme parks. The community is extremely charming, and was inspired by Walt Disney’s dream of creating a “perfect Utopian city” and it looks like small-town America of the mid-20th century. By March of 2020, the world as we know it changed. COVID-19 spread like wildfire; thousands of people were dying each week and lockdown was just around the corner. That same month, Gretchen Anthony from Florida began texting her relatives to tell them she had COVID-19 and was being held at a CDC approved task force. This task force did not exist.
