The fact that a lot of us can't stand meetings is valid. Meetings, for the most part really don't feel productive or help us get anything done. Let's be honest, most people think meetings suck. Stop having meetings. Meetings are ambiguous, in our company, we instead have targeted interactions. I love meeting with my team. This is a really important lesson for every entrepreneur out there, including me. In my twenties, I had the belief system that if I told anybody that they were doing a good job, that they would get complacent. So, all I did as a leader was tell people what they were doing wrong. If you're treating your team in a way that's punitive, if you're not acknowledging all the amazing things they do, you are creating a massive amount of stress between you and your team members. This is one of those changes of behavior that takes faith on your part but I promise that you achieve so much more momentum with positivity rather than negativity.

As human beings, if we face any sort of threat or attack we can flip into fight or flight mode. As Evolutionary Hunter's, we are more susceptible to fight or flight mode than the average person. If you're stuck in this fight or flight mindset it becomes exponentially more difficult to grow a business, lead a team, and see your future clearly. There is nothing you can do to totally eliminate fight or flight. It is a natural instinct, but, there are ways that you can handle it more effectively. Focus on breathing, nutrition, hydration, and movement. If you put more gas in your tank and take care of yourself properly the physiological reactiveness goes down and that is crucial for people like us who want to push the limits every day.

Compartmentalization for entrepreneurs is impossible. We can't just stop and separate from who we really are. In reality, if there is something wrong at home it's going to affect you in your business and if something is stressing you out at work you're going to take that home with you whether you admit it or not. When you have a mutineer within your ranks they can rip apart your business very quickly. Mutineers have a deep need for attention. They'll start rumors and cause unnecessary questions to be asked.
