How to change the direction of your life: Amber Sandberg: 249 Jul 20, 2021
    Show notes

Do you feel stuck? Today I will be interviewed on my friend Jenny Stemmerman's podcast where we talk all about changing the direction of your life. I share with her that the one of the reasons I wanted to get certified as a life coach was to help moms beyond the podcast. I know it's so easy to get stuck in a rut or feel like you don't know what your purpose is outside of running a home. Maybe you want to lose weight, or get out of debt, maybe you are struggling with self-confidence since having kids, these are just some of the things that I have been given tools for to help my clients. Here are my 3 tips to help you move forward and create the life you want: 1. Assessing your thoughts: Understanding where you are and what you are feeling and what is missing. There are a lot of emotions that can come up with this….it is easier said than done. Don’t plan on this being a short process. A journal might help you process and track your thoughts and emotions. This is also where a coach is so helpful because they can guide you through the process. 2. Creating different thoughts. What changes do you want to make? What thoughts and beliefs do you need to get there? 3. Making those thoughts into actions. If you liked this episode make sure to check out the episode I did on living a life too small for you. You're overwhelmed, you haven't lost the baby weight, you doubt yourself all the time and for once you wish you could have more self confidence? When you get on a call with me I am going to help you figure out your next steps so that you can finally show up as the best version of yourself and start living the life you always wanted! Barbados, Grenada, Mexico: Bucket List: Christina Willett: 245 (Replay) Jun 22, 2021
    Show notes

What places are on your bucket list for this year and 2022? Today we have mom of 3 Christina Willett from Lush Experience on the show for part 2 of the travel series to share with us some amazing places we can go this year! Just like Heidi in the previous episode, she shares with us 3 different locations and 4 amazing resorts that are perfect during the pandemic. Christina really focuses on these properties that are the perfect places to go to to be able to relax, have fun and not worry about the cleanliness or having to spread out to get space. Let's jump into where she highly recommends your next vacation to be. Let's start with heading to Barbados, an island that is hilly, beautiful with light pink beaches. In Barbados everything is at your fingertips, if you want to go shopping, explore restaurants, and do activities you can leave the resort and feel safe. Sandy Lane hotel is perfect for families. Sandy Lane has amazing beach side service. As a parent you want to make that experience as easy as possible. Christina has never seen anything like this, the beach manager will ask if you want to be in the sun, shade, want to relax or be in the action? They will reserve your spot for the duration of your trip so you can sleep in and know you will have your spot. They also will know what drinks you want, if the kids want popsicles etc. There are 4 restaurants, an amazing golf course called the Green Monkey, Tiger Woods even got married there. They have a mega spa 40,000 square feet. They have complimentary kids programs for ages 3-12 and offer daily activities and have theme days daily for example a "beach safari" for the kids. In Barbados they have wildlife reserves with green monkeys, farms for wildlife, you can swim with turtles, take submarine tours, enjoy hiking, ATV and horse back riding. Sandy Lane has over 100 rooms spread over a couple buildings. 1 free standing villa that has 5 bedrooms if you are looking for more space and privacy. Next, let's head to Grenada. This island is not built up like other islands. There are no tall buildings, and it has a slower pace and it's more quiet. Grenada is a lush island that is green and hilly. It's known as Spice Island, and Christina highly recommends walking around the open air markets to get a feel for the culture. Calabash is the hotel she highly recommends because it's a special property that is family owned and operated and local native to the island. They are there day in and day out getting to know the guests. Calabash has a unique environment that is spacious only 30 suites on 8 acres. There are 5 villas perfect for families that have 2-5 bedrooms in each. Calabash is a bed and breakfast style and breakfast is included and you can have it in your room or even on the beach! Grenada is a diving destination and even has underwater art that you can explore! They are big into water sports and even have a dormant volcano that has a lake in it and you can hike up to it and see monkey's and lizards. So if you are looking for something different this is a perfect destination for you. Lastly we are heading to Mexico to Le Blanc a sister company that is a luxury all inclusive adult only resorts. One is located in Cancun and the other in Cabo, so depending on which one you want to go to, which one is easier for you to get to and what kind of atmosphere you are looking for will dictate which property to stay at. At Le Blanc everything is at your beck and call, food and beverage including top shelf alcohol is included in your stay as well as butler service! They have about 6-7 restaurants and a ton of bars, you can have 24 hour room service if you wanting to stay more to yourself. It's an amazing spa destination that is huge and has lots of space. Cabo you can check out San Jose or Cabo San Lucas, they offer two different environments to explore from off shore fishing, night life, shopping and trying out different restaurants if you want to leave property. If you go to Cancun, Tulum is a great day trip to go to and Cancun has a fun nightlife. Le Blanc is for 18 years and older so this could be a great mother and daughter trip, a couples trip or if you just want to get away with your spouse! She feels that travel is so important for mental growth esp. for kids and exposing kids to different cultures helps them learn and grow. Hear what she says about this topic and more on the podcast. St. Barth, Turks & Caicos, Dominican Republic: Bucket List: Heidi Larusso : 244 (Replay) Jun 15, 2021
    Show notes

The world is opening back up, where do you want to go? Today we have Heidi La Russo from Lush Experience on the show to share with us some amazing places we can go this year! She shares with us 3 different locations and 4 amazing resorts that are perfect during the pandemic. Eden Roc is not your typical all inclusive Dominican Republic hotel. It's privately gated located in Cap Cana. Flying into Punta Cana is a 15 minute ride. All cars are being sanitized before and after clients. You can only go to Cap Cana if you are staying on Cap Cana and there is so much to do there. You can go to the marina for dinner, water activities, bike tours, walking tours and equestrian center to mention just a few. Eden Roc is located directly on the beach, and on a Jack Nicklaus Signature Punta Espada golf course. It has a 30,000 sq foot spa that focuses on wellness. The way the property is laid out is perfect for families that want to be spread out from other people, it's very spacious! The Poolside accommodation allows you to get your own private pool that is closed off ! They have an amazing kids club. Next we are moving on to Turks and Caicos some of the bluest water in the world. We are going to talk about two different resorts. The Palms which is located on Grace Bay Beach and is close proximity to the airport, around 15 min. The resort is an all suite property with 72 suites. It never feels crowded, the rooms are very spacious. Beautiful pool where you can see the ocean. Their spa is 25, 000 sq. but you can also do private treatments if you do not want to be near other people. They have non motorized sports like paddle boarding, tons of activities for kids even a kid counselor that sets up fun things to do like dancing, games, exercise and art and this is for kids ages 4-12. Grace Bay Beach is a wider and longer beach and water is deeper and more active. Perfect for older kids that love to do non motorized sports. Long Bay Beach is where you can find The Shore Club, the water is calm here, perfect for little kids, the beach is shorter and water is super shallow, 300 feet out it is at your waist! You can feel super comfortable with the kiddos in the water while relaxing. The Shore Club is not just perfect for families, it is a great getaway for couples. This property is all suites and also has a 4, 5, and 6 bedroom villa. Perfect for big family vacations or traveling with family friends! Each villa has it's own private pool. At the Shore Club you can find an adults only pool, family pool and the main pool as well as 2 tennis courts and the use of non motorized sports. You can also have spa treatments in private bungalows or in your room, whichever one you prefer! Lastly we are going to talk about St. Barth staying at the Le Carl Gustaf. This hotel is brand new and opens Oct 15th. If you are looking for a smaller property this is perfect for you. There are 23 accommodations, made up of 17 bungalows, 2 bedroom jr suite, 3 bedroom loft and 5 bedroom villa. All these have private pools attached to your room. They have access to the beach which is Shell Beach and it's about a 10 minute walk. They have fantastic restaurants and you can always do in room dining. We have not forgotten about the kids, they have sailing lessons, surf lessons, art, and tennis. They also have babysitters on property. The spa is incredible, great treatments and you can have them done all in your room if you prefer. One thing Heidi said that stood out to me is that seeing the world through other people's eyes and experiencing other cultures is what travel provides. Hear what she says about this topic and more on the podcast. Cabo: Bucket List: Amber Sandberg: 243 (Replay) Jun 08, 2021
    Show notes

Have you wondered why people love going to Cabo so much? In 2019 I went to Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Mexico and stayed at several luxury properties. As a travel agent I wanted to go and check out why people flocked to Cabo so often. I stayed at 5 different resorts so that I could see the difference between each of them in order to help my travel clients. I had the best time, it felt like a mix of Scottsdale/Palm Springs and Hawaii depending on which resort you were at. If customer service is high on your list for when you travel than you will want to make sure you stay at one of these properties. If you have a big birthday or anniversary coming up and you want to feel spoiled and taken care than make sure Cabo is on your list! For those of you that are concerned about safety in Mexico make sure to listen to this episode as I share my thoughts on this topic and how I asked locals about their feelings on safety regarding the area as well. If you wonder what fun things you can do in Cabo here are just a few popular things you can check out, whale watching, snorkeling, swimming with the whale sharks, enjoy the beautiful beaches, golfing and if you are a foodie there are so many delicious options in Cabo. To hear about this topic and more listen to the podcast. Turks and Caicos: Bucket List: Amber Sandberg: 242 Jun 01, 2021
    Show notes

Do you want to go to an island with the most turquoise water you will ever see? As the world opens up it is very clear that this is the best time to start using a travel advisor, each country has their own rules and testing requirements. So do yourself a favor and making your life easier with advisors like myself. So, let's jump into why Turks and Caicos needs to be on your bucket list. My stay on the island was amazing in large part because of my amazing accommodations. I stayed at The Palms and its sister property The Shore Club. These resorts were just stunning. I stayed in a one bedroom ocean front suite and it had a fully equipped kitchen that was beautiful, a master bathroom and half bathroom, dining area, living room with a pull out couch and a laundry room that is perfect for families! One of the perks of staying at these resorts is that you can get a shuttle to each resort to eat at their restaurants. Taxi's can get really expensive on the island so the fact that you can use their shuttle for free is an amazing perk. If you were to stay there for 5 days or more I highly recommend staying in each resort and doing a split stay so that you can do beach to beach. The Palms is on the famous Grace Bay Beach and The Shore Club is on Long Bay Beach and they are two very different beaches. Grace Bay Beach is large and perfect for taking long walks in the morning or in the evening. The water is amazing in this beach, you can go paddle boarding, snorkeling, and kayaking if you like. Long Bay Beach doesn't have as big of a beach but it has Palm trees and is very shallow so it's perfect if you just want to relax in the beautiful blue water and let the kids play around without having to worry it's going to get too deep. If you are adventurous you may want to give Kite Surfing a try, there are Kite Surfing schools right next to The Shore Club. It was really fun to watch people give it a try. Since the water is so shallow even further out you can easily stand out there waist deep learning how to Kite Surf. If you want to change things up a little you can check out this Tiki Bar in the middle of the water, you can do that by taking a catamaran from The Shore Club and enjoy a few hours in the beautiful turquoise water, listening to music drinking your favorite drink. If you love food, these resorts are a must, The Shore Club has The Almond Tree and it has Southern Comfort food and everything I had was delicious, not to mention the ambience is gorgeous. When staying at The Palms you have to try the fried conch, steak and mashed potatoes and both places have desserts that are to die for. Oh and if you love bread and pastries, then these resorts are for you since they have their own pastry chef that makes chocolate croissants for breakfast and tasty sourdough and focaccia for dinner. I highly recommend Turks and Caicos if you are looking for clear turquoise water, a place to have fun and chill at the same time. You can get there under an hour and a half from Miami, it's a perfect Caribbean getaway for anyone.
