Stop stopping: Amber Sandberg: 276 Feb 08, 2022
    Show notes

Do you find you start and stop your your weight loss journey? You decide you are so over talking about your weight, and so this is going to be it, you are finally going to to do it. You buy the books, you get the food, you buy a journal to write in, you have a plan, colored pens and you are ready to go. Week two comes around the corner and you are over everything you set out to do. Maybe you have been working out hard and feel too sore and can't keep going so you want to give up. Maybe you expected to work out really hard and lose weight and you have yet to see the scale move and you feel defeated. You are done making eggs, eating veggies and protein, you are so bored out of your mind that you can't see yourself doing this one more day. Next thing you know, you are going through the drive through of your favorite place, telling yourself that this is too hard and it's not going to work anyway. When we want to solve our problems with food this is where we want to start quitting. We want to numb out, escape our feelings, and we think that our tried and true foods will help us avoid that discomfort. But what happens after we have eaten those foods to try so solve our problems is we start to feel guilt or shame for feeling like we let ourselves down which then we want to go eat more to run away from those uncomfortable feelings. When we try to solve our problems with food, it only last for a little bit that relief before that rush of thoughts that come in and say I can never stick to eating plans, I am never going to reach my goals. So what makes us want to stop, what is different from yesterday to today? Hear what I have to say about this topic and more on the podcast. Hey, have you grabbed your free copy of "How to get going with weight loss again" worksheet? If not, make sure to do so! How to envision your future self: Amber Sandberg: 275 Feb 01, 2022
    Show notes

What could you do today that your future self would thank you for? Today I talk all about how to envision your future self and why it's so important when it comes to achieving your goals. When you think about this question it requires us to be willing to think about it from our future self. Sometimes it's too hard for people to think too far out, so I want you to think about a time frame that stretches you a little bit but not too far out that it feels too vague. You might be wondering why do we want to live from our future self, well many times we live from out past self and it gets us stuck and we can't move forward. When you think about where you want to be in the future, you have to be careful to not let the past paralyze you. Just know living from your future self can feel uncomfortable at times, your brain is going to want to throw a fit and say this is dumb, this doesn't matter but I want to encourage you to keep showing up as your future self, change the decisions that you are making and keep showing up. Do you find that you have no time to create white space in your life? Today I have author Jinny Uppal on the show to talk about things we can do to create a better quality of life. We chat about how our society is all about hustling and that social media has glamorized that behavior to make it the norm and how damaging that can be. What we don't realize is that it leaves us burnt out and running on empty. Jinny shares with us what she learned while writing her book and taking the steps she discusses on this episode are so easy to practice, starting today. Jinny explains to us what reflective thinking is and why it's such a powerful tool in our life and once we see the benefits we won't want to stop. She describes one technique called "mind wandering" and how that looks and how it can change our brain activity and help us to be more creative in problem solving in our lives. Do you feel overwhelmed by all the advice thrown at you? Today I am going to talk to you about taking what works and leaving the rest behind and not feeling guilty about it. With it being January there are so many programs out there especially for weight loss and you might be finding yourself completely confused on which advice you should follow. Maybe you feel like you should be doing 75 Hard like the rest of your friends but feel like it isn't the right fit for you in the season of life you are in. Does it feel like all your friends are tracking macros in order to lose weight and keeping it off? Does it seem like if you don't burn the candle at both ends that you are not hustling enough? So many people want to give us a formula and and it might just not work for us and that is okay. We are not in the same season of life as everyone so if something resonates with you then great, but if it doesn't then leave it. Hear what I have to say about this topic and more on the podcast. With the start of the new year so many people get really motivated to start new habits, change up routines, and so on. Best of: Are you living a life too small for you?: Amber Sandberg: 271 Jan 04, 2022
    Show notes

Have you ever wondered if you are living your life to your fullest potential? Do you ever feel like you are playing too small? You see people out there doing big things and you know you have it in you to do something but you feel too scared? Today I am going to talk to you guys about figuring out your "second act"! Sometimes it's easy to over look what your talents are, and it can leave you feeling like you don't have anything special to offer. But if you can think about the things other people compliment you on or ask for your help with that will give you some insight to what you may be good at. It's so much easier for others to see our talents then it is for us to really see them. Also 2021 was not as easy as most of us had hoped for. You might feel like your progress got stalled or maybe you didn't even begin what you were hoping to start, maybe you feel like you even went backwards but I wanted to encourage you to think differently! What if we weren't "starting over", what if we were just picking back up where we left off.... wouldn't that have a different feeling to think that way? What if we could just start saying "let's just meet ourselves where were at, right now." Hear what I have to say about this topic and more on the podcast. How to eat and afford anything you want: Germaine Foley: 270 Dec 28, 2021
    Show notes

Do you feel like you have to be super restrictive to get to your goal for weight loss and money? Today I have Germaine Foley on the show and we break down how she got herself out of 200k of debt and how I lost over 50lbs. Not only did we accomplish those things, we did it without being super restrictive. So, today we wanted to share with you what we teach our coaching clients so that you can start your new year feeling hopeful. One big mistake people make is that they think whenever they reach their goal, it will be better then where they were. What we want to tell you, is that you can be happy now, no matter how much money you have or how much you weigh, you have the power to choose to be happy on your way to your goals. Many people get stuck in this cycle that they can only be happy once they achieve their goals and until then life is better there vs. here. Also, we share our experiences and how we didn't have to give up our life to go after what we wanted. Does this sound too good to be true?
