Why Focus Is The New Hustle Dec 21, 2017
    Show notes

Episode 183: We are so fortunate to live in an era of information, mentorship, spirituality and technology. Our dreams are not only accessible but they are encouraged. With that said, we are surrounded by neighbors and friends doing incredible things too and we can easily get swept up in the desire to hustle more to achieve more. No matter what your goal is (relational, financial, emotional, physical), the best approach is going to be an approach that is focus-driven...not hustle-driven.

When you are in a state of hustle, you are in a state of frenzy. You're almost panicked. Like, if you forget to check off one of your hundreds of to-do's, you are suddenly behind. This is a surefire way to never reach fulfillment in your goals and to run yourself dry.

When you adopt a lifestyle of focus, not only are you more at ease with the relationship you have with your goals, but you are able to accomplish tasks at the same time as feeling energized and fulfilled. Life is not about doing everything and anything all at once. It is about nourishing your whole being- and sometimes that means focusing on one or two important things rather than many.

Fresh Ideas to Mix Up Your Spirituality Self-Care Toolbox Nov 22, 2017
    Show notes

Episode 179: Have you been using the same tools in your self-care practice for years? Are you ready to try a few new things? I am a huge advocate of self-care, as it is a tool I use to practice my self-love. Self-care is self-love, but self-love is not only self-care. In today's podcast episode I'm going to give you a tremendous list of self-care practices I use in my life. Please note, I do not do all of these practices on a daily basis. I stick to 1-3 of these tools daily and in order to make sure I'm doing things that are truly fueling my energy for the day, I consistently let go of practices that no longer serve me. Always keep in mind: the best self-care ritual is one that you're going to do. It's no brainer that if your practice isn't fun or fulfilling, you won't want to do it, so make sure that everything you do is aligned with how you want to feel for the day. If it's not enjoyable, don't do it even if all the other self-help gurus in the world say it's the best practice everrrr! Create a self-care practice that makes you happy. Period. Show notes: Three important things to know before you jump into this episode An easy assignment to keep in mind as you soak up these new self-care practices One way I decide what I want to do (and if I want to do it at all) is to ask myself: does this make me contract or expand? The types of crystals I'm loving lately and how I use them Click HERE to check out the book I mention in the podcast, Crystal Muse, and to listen to the episode I did with the authors, Heather and Timmi, click HERE Palo santo: why I love it and how to use it (buy from Amazon HERE) The mindset that I have towards these woo-woo type tools How candles have the power to help you tap into your rest // relaxation and cozy-vibes Some documentaries I love that have helped me connect to my desire to make the world a better place Examples: The True Cost, What the Health (I'm not vegetarian by the way), The Human Experiment, I am Not Your Guru, The Masks we Wear Why I purchased a plant when I went through my last breakup (and how it continues to satisfy my yearning for nurturing love!) Goal-writing during the New Moon, Full Moon or beginning of the month Why massages are a consistent self-care gift I give myself (and it also satisfies my love language: physical touch) Other forms of body work: ROLFing, reiki, sensory deprivation tanks, saunas, chiropractic work Why I'm all about getting pedicures and manicures Vedic Meditation: what it is and how it's been changing my life for the better Some more self-care tools I mention in this episode (you must listen to the actual episode to understand why I include these!): coffee dates with girl friends, reading, tarot cards, movement, self-dates, free-flow gratitude writing, physical touch/connection) The non-negotiable self-care rituals I do every day...for now Want to get a free audiobook from Audible? Londin Angel Winters: Being a Leader of Love, Messages from the Cervix and Remaining Open-Hearted in Relationship Nov 15, 2017
    Show notes

Episode 178: Londin is an international spiritual intimacy teacher. She and her life partner, Justin Patrick Pierce, teach the Yoga of Intimacy, a body of work designed to help others create a life of unbridled loving and sacred relationship. As part of helping women and men to deepen in intimacy, Londin uses serpent medicine. She has raised four temple snakes and uses them in sacred ceremony to help others awaken to their sensual power. Londin also has a background as a fitness champion and certified exercise specialist, and brings that expertise to sacred intimacy by helping women reclaim feeling good in their bodies. Ultimately, everything she offers centers around helping others shine their light, open their hearts and most importantly, love like they've never been hurt. She offers public and private trainings to couples and singles around the world, as well as books, online courses and regular interaction through her FB group "Sacred Relationship." Show notes: Get your FREE Audible Trial by clicking HERE Londin's experience growing up in a conservative household, going to an all girl's catholic school and following a typical Midwestern upbringing until she realized she had a part of herself that was eager to finally be released. This is how she became a Spiritual Intimacy teacher. How she approached her new path to her parents with an open, soft heart- not defensive and closed. How to communicate with your parents in an honest way so you can strengthen communication between you two, rather than cover it up with sarcasm or passive aggression. Becoming the leader of love by showing up in your relationship as honesty and truth. You don't always have to explain why you're triggered....you just want to show. When you're arguing with someone, you may feel your body close (physically and emotionally). One of the most important things during these times is to "do the yoga" in the conversation, meaning opening your shoulders, breathing and remaining open. Allow the flow to pass through your body in all instances, even when your natural instinct is to stop the flow. When you close your energy outwardly and inwardly, that's when you become "invisible." The difference between trusting someone in general and trusting someone in every moment. The power of listening to the messages you receive from your cervix If you're making the decision to sleep with someone just for fun, and not for a relationship, these are a few things to keep in mind moving forward. If you have to reduce depth in your life, you're going to reduce the depth of what you attract. "You would be so much better off being a friend to your inner yearning." Episode 176: People-pleasing is a debilitating habit. In this podcast I'm going to teach you how to summon your own Warrior so that you can begin to protect your energy, time and body.
