Taipei is getting a double header event with a Safari Zone and Air Adventures happening at the same time. GO Hub gathers the sentiment from the AR Community about feeling left behind in development, and then we get into the meat and potatoes. In what didn’t even start out as a Poke The Bear segment, a massive reaction came from Ken’s hot take that walking should come back to GBL. Turns out, it makes for a pretty good Poke The Bear after all!

We had a few events cycle through the schedule last week and there is more on the horizon! We start by recapping our Roggenrola Community Day and our thoughts on the Test Your Mettle Event. Could the steady stream of new Pokémon being released keep players engaged or will it fizzle out? One thing for sure, with Fashion Week coming next week, there isn’t too much time to rest.

Our Poke the Bear this week covers the in-game economy. Not a single Trainer we know is a fan of the current boxes, and we are concerned this may be the new normal. Without hearing from Niantic regarding what is going on, we are left to speculate on what could be their reasoning.

As we reflect on the last week of gameplay we learn that Adam really hasn’t been having a lot of fun with the game lately. While not sure about the fun part, Ken is still running the game all day long. The anti climactic Clefairy Commotion didn’t really hit the spot Trainers were looking for either. So was this a downward trending week for Niantic? It was if you take a look at the new boxes!

Test Your Mettle kicks off this week and the blog look promising. With Togedemaru and Mega Aagron to chew on, we aren’t sure if it will be enough. The Community once again is feeling out of touch with Niantic and we aren’t sure when or how this could improve.

There was plenty to talk about this week as we had our first experiences with the Season of Light! After a few days of vanilla spawns, an Inkay Limited Research and our normal weekly rotations, we have a pretty good feel for the Season. So far it has been overwhelmingly positive, even though the boxes in the shop may make us ill.

Clefairy Commotion is this weekend and we still don’t know what to expect. It just seems like something else is coming, but we can’t figure it out. Otherwise it will be just like a 3 hour Spotlight and I don’t think we want that!

Roggenrola is our next Community Day Pokémon and the group bonuses are a thing of the past! We will have to see if Trainers feel the burn of its removal, as it has become a nice boost over the last few events. Safari Zone in Singapore was also announced as APAC is looking to be full on Safari this fall.

Finally we round things out with a Mega Alakazam Raid Guide and Battle Party! Pokebattler gives us the scoop and we put together some diverse parties, even though the counters are fairly straightforward!

I had the pleasure of chatting with one of Pokémon GO’s rising content stars, Poké Daxi! Taking the TIkTok and short form video world by storm, Poké Daxi brings a new energy, style, and format to a content scene that has been dominated by a few select creators for years. His youthful approach to the short form video process is intriguing as his process is exceptionally calculated and thought out.

Even though he is closer in age to my son than he is to me (by a lot) he seems to have his content ducks in a row with his approach. From his topics to release schedule, each action has a purpose. The result is tremendous growth on TikTok and more recently on YouTube. The future is bright for this creator, and I have a feeling this is just the beginning for Poké Daxi.

The Bug Out ranks up there with the best Pokémon GO Event ever! It had it all and kept Trainers happy with a consistent barrage of spawns, research, and raids! Let’s hope that the upcoming Pokémon Worlds Event will have what it takes to keep us occupied until the GO Fest Finale. With a Costume Pikachu at its helm, we aren’t too sure how this event will be received!

GO Fest Season is officially behind us and Niantic has to fill a tall order of keeping the momentum going. With the Bug Out Event happening this week, we will have to see if the diverse spawns, new Mega, and the return of Genesect will have enough to keep us satisfied. Perhaps the Ultra Unlock from GO Fest: Sapporo will be the spice we need over the next week to keep us on the grind.

It has been a long time since we took a dive into the APK Mines, so we will visit Poke Miner’s report on 0.245.0 as there are some exciting nuggets including hints to the Route Maker as well as some quality of life updates.

THe big news of the week is the massive blog release detailing the GO Fest Finally coming at the end of the month. While we have the Bug Out and World Championship Events before then, there is plenty to get excited about as the Finale is packed with features. Even the non-ticketed experience of the event is loaded with new things to do, while the tickets event puts things into overdrive.
