The GO Fest withdrawal is REAL! We are definitely missing our trip to Seattle but the game has done a great job keeping the momentum going. The Hisuian Adventures Event was a good one, especially with the Ultra Unlock bonuses. We recap our experiences including a trip to NYC to hook up with some friends and creators.

GO Fest in Sapporo will be happening this weekend and most Trainers, even if they have the means to travel, are unable to attend due to Japan’s travel restrictions. We will have to watch from the sidelines and root them on from home! A Safari Zone in Taiwan was also announced for October, which will also have restrictions to travel in place. We also touch on some political news which may impact the event as well.

The big news of the week was the announcement of the Bug Out Event. This event is a fan favorite and has the potential to be powered up by the Ultra Unlock Bonus from GO Fest: Sapporo. The announcement also reveals that Shiny Venipede, Mega Scizor, and Genesect with a Chill Drive will be released. We put together a Raid Guide and Battle Party to get you prepared for Mega Scizor, as it will be a great addition to any Mega roster.

We dig in to the Community Ambassador Program and how it can be perceived to have major barriers to entry as it requires Silph integration. The launch of COmmunity Cards makes it easier to track and work towards meeting the requirements, but is it still to overwhelming for the masses? Our conversation hits both sides of the debate and we look forward to hearing your feedback.

Global GO Fest is a wrap and we had very different experiences with the event. One of us was stuck at work for most of the day and the other put in 26,000 steps and 1,000 catches! This event has split the community with many thinking that shiny rates were too light, with others thinking it felt just right. Either way we had a diverse gameplay experience with customizable narrative and difficulty, which made the event feet fresh and exciting.

The momentum from GO Fest continues with a push into Adventure Week which gives us new Pokémon and Shinies as well as some great bonuses thanks to the Ultra Unlock.With the TCG Crossover Event and the release of Wimpod on the Horizon, the pace of events seems to be picking up steam.

Jamal from the Wayspotters Podcast jumps on for a quick segment to share some tips for new Wayfarers! We firmly believe the longevity and overall health of PGO can be greatly influenced by the hands of Wayfinders.
