With the HearUs campaign still lingering in the air, the game itself is keeping things moving along at a blazing pace. With a flawless Regidrago make up day and Valorous Hero events, it is safe to say the core game is working great. GBL is another story as it continues to be plagued with issues which led to some backlash on GO Battle Day. A $1 Timed Research that was very poorly received by the Community even led to Niantic offering up a free Timed Research to those that bought the ticket.

Fennekin Community Day is this weekend and we also have dates for the next few months as well. July and August are looking to be really busy in game, and we discuss how lingering feelings take away from the impact of any future announcement that Niantic makes.

Team GO Rocket has some news coming this week which comes with the announcement of the Master Ball being released. We are wondering who will be the first to catch a Pidgey or Bidoof in it for the lulz. We wrap things up with a Regigigas Raid guide and Battle Party, and hope that the Community really shows up to Raid it!

The emotional roller coaster continues to rise and fall as we have another very dramatic week in Pokémomn GO. The Silph Road has announced that it will be going dark on August 1st and the entire Community is gutted. We commiserate on how its a shame that it takes something like this to bring the Community together, but here we are. Unfortunately, some are using this as ammunition to attack Niantic.

We did have a pretty busy news week with the Valorous Hero event, and a weekend of Regidrago Raids and GO Battle League. While it would keep Trainers busy, we aren’t exactly sure it is what they wish they were doing.

In other news we discuss the Global Wayfarer Reviewer Challenge taking place in Spain and how some QoL updates in Wayfarer will make this easier than ever to participate in.

Finally, Ken briefly shares his experience during his trip to Niantic this week to test out a new game feature. With the state of the current core Community, hopefully Niantic has some serious tricks up their sleeve in order to make the Community happy again.

There is plenty to talk about this week as the newsroom has been super busy! As we wrap up on An Instinctive Hero he also have A Valorous Hero up next on the calendar! With the Community a bit sour on Larvesta rates, it will be interesting to see how they think of the next Team Leader based event.

Kleavor Raid Day was this past weekend and the conspiracy theories are abound! From people thinking that Shiny rates were higher in person than remote to some thinking that the Shiny wasn't even turned on at first. The volatility of the last few weeks is absolutely bubbling over the tipping point as many in the Community are on the edge.

An article that shared one line about Niantic revenue being down sparked a massive wave of syndicated press about the topic. The Hear Us Niantic movement claimed victory for the decline while Niantic bounced back and dismissed the numbers as being false! All of this has triggered the Community as Niantic had no problem responding to financial info while still not acknowledging the Twitter mobs.

The Regidrago announcement has finally come! While it isn’t much of a make good, it is a make-up, which has the Community torn and Adam scorned so bad that he calls out for people to stay home!

We have the May content update which brings back Legendary Pokémon and introduces Mega Pinsir! This Season hasn’t hit as hard as the last few which may be adding to the relaxed vibe that many Trainers are taking. While May is packed with events, the player base may not be too excited for them!

Spark and Team Instinct get their event next with the release of Larvesta, however it is locked behind eggs! With the Community never feeling happy about this style of release, we will have to see how plentiful they are as you need 400 candies to evolve into Volcarona!

The big news of course is the announcement of GO Fest which has sent the Community into a tizzy to secure their tickets. We discuss the event locations and the incredible amount of irony coming from the some of the loud voices on Twitter. Predictably, those boycotting the game had no problem posting up their tickets and travel plans! Oh Community, you never let us down.

Once we get through the news the discussion shifts to HearUsNiantic and how it is a real possibility that Niantic does not respond at all. Could a response to the angry mob be taken as a sign of weakness? How can Niantic respond in a way that doesn’t address the anger but still addresses why they made their decisions? Good times!

After the intensity of last week’s episode, we take the time to reflect on the roller coaster of emotions that are flowing through the Community. With a week since the Remote Raid update, is the Community ready to adapt to the new normal? Hear our feelings on where the game is now and where it needs to go.

Regieleki Elite Raids were this past weekend and while we didn’t see the post Raid, Special Research, most Trainers were able to have uninterrupted gameplay. That is, except for our friends from New Zealand who once again got the shaft with a broken event launch.

A Mystic Hero is next on the calendar and while this isn’t a fully comprehensive event, it does offer a significantly rare Shiny check with Blanche’s Costume Lapras. We also have Togetic Community Day this weekend which will be an interesting take on Community sentiment, coming off the wake of the Remote Raid update.
