Do the Nets have real problems? Kyrie Irving plays in Portland, but Brooklyn loses Jan 11, 2022
    Show notes

The Nets flew across the country on a back-to-back and had a tough time in Portland on Monday. With Kyrie Irving back, but without James Harden because of injury, Brooklyn fell to an undermanned Blazers team without Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum. It was a rough one from the Nets who struggled with their starting lineup, racked up a ton of fouls early, and couldn’t generate a ton of offense with the starters.

The guys break down the game, what went wrong from the beginning, and who might be to blame for some of this. They talk about Kyrie’s game and what it means to have him available. And they also focus on the play of some of the rookies like Cam Thomas and Day’Ron Sharpe who got extended run in this one.

    Show notes

Cam Thomas stepped further into the spotlight in his young NBA career, knocking down a game winner late in overtime for Brooklyn at home against the Spurs. This was a familiar game script, where Kevin Durant and James Harden went to work early, and yet the team struggled to extend the lead and put away an inferior opponent.

Beyond the big shot, Adam breaks down David Duke Jr's role in the starting line up, where Day'ron Sharpe still needs to improve his game and how Kessler Edwards can fill an offensive void for Brooklyn at home.

Scary hours is back. Kyrie Irving returns for Brooklyn in comeback win over Pacers Jan 06, 2022
    Show notes

Kyrie Irving returned for the Brooklyn Nets and instantly reminded everyone about what it means to have this guy on your team. He sure didn’t look like it had been more than 200 days since he’d played in an NBA game. While the Nets stumbled early, they didn’t late. Irving helped mount a 3rd and 4th quarter comeback against the Pacers that saw them overcome a 17-point deficit.

The Nets put it on the Pacers and ended up with 129 points while only hitting five three-pointers. Irving finished with 22 points in his 32 minutes while Kevin Durant was his masterful self, putting up 39 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. The Locked on Nets guys are breaking it all down on a packed podcast.

Kyrie Irving is playing Wednesday! A Nets superstar back in the mix Jan 05, 2022
    Show notes

Kyrie Irving is returning to the hardwood for the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers. It’s a welcome move for the team who could really use Irving’s talents while currently on a three-game losing streak. It’s unclear just how much Kyrie will play in this one, likely needing to ramp up to full minutes game action. Adam Armbrecht and Doug Norrie break down what it means for Brooklyn to get Kyrie back here, how he immediately works into the rotation and what the macro and micro expectations are for the team. They also look at some of Steve Nash’s coaching moves and other rotational pieces with Irving back.

Do Nets need a wakeup call? Starters pulled, bench unit almost comes back in loss Jan 04, 2022
    Show notes

The Brooklyn Nets dropped their third game in a row, this time against the Memphis Grizzlies. It was some of the same old story for the team with the squad not able to survive off nights from both James Harden and Kevin Durant. Both struggled, at times, from the field and no one else was able to pick up any of the slack. Brooklyn got hammered on the offensive glass with Memphis pulling down a whopping 23 offensive rebounds. In all, it was a frustrating time with the lone bright spot a comeback staged by the rookies/ bench in the fourth quarter. The guys discuss the game, the lack of rotational changes, why the Nets didn’t go fully for the comeback in the fourth, and other problems at hand.

    Show notes

The Brooklyn Nets lost their second game in a row for the first time this season when they blew a double-digit fourth-quarter lead to the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday. The Nets had trouble generating offense outside of the two superstars and wasted another great game by James Harden specifically. The Locked on Nets guys break down the loss and what happened late in the game with rotations from Steve Nash. They talk about the lack of spacing, possible adjustments, and what to look for going ahead when it comes to the Nets.

Nets waste triple-double from James Harden, lose to Joel Embiid and 76ers Dec 31, 2021
    Show notes

The Nets lose to the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday in a game that could preview a playoff matchup. They struggled with Joel Embiid all night who was able, at times, to impose his will on an undersized Nets’ frontcourt. Brooklyn wasted a triple-double from James Harden who turned in 33 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. But the Brooklyn offense struggled late in the fourth quarter and couldn’t generate enough offense to take the game over. The guys break down the new starting lineup, problems the Nets had in the game, and why they aren’t too worried about the loss.
