    Show notes

With the NFL draft around the corner, we talk Wisconsin Badgers football prospects; including Leo Chenel, Jake Ferguson, Logan Bruss and we touch on last year's class for an NFL check up.

Why Faion Hicks is going to stick on an NFL roster and why the tough Matt Henningsen and dependable Jack Sanborn have a great shot at sticking in the league.

    Show notes

Dillon Graff from USA Today joins the show to talk about which off-season coaching moves from the Wisconsin Badgers football team he likes the most, did Paul Chryst maximize those moves and will Graham Mertz make a big jump?

This was an off-season of change for the Badgers coaching staff. I talk about John Blackwell the 2023 Badgers basketball commit from Bloomfield, Michigan. We also discuss some Wisconsin Badgers football Q/A, does the defense just reload, any chance we could turn to Deacon Hill this year?

To kick off the show, I talk about John Blackwell and why his mentality is so unique, he's going to bring a winning thought process to Madison. What are his goals for his senior season, and what are his goals for his Madison career? I get into his offensive game and why his versatility is uncommon and how he fits into today's type of basketball.

For the next segment we dive into Badgers football and some Q/A. Any chance Guerendo can be a Deebo-lite player ? Why his athletic skills are so unique. I talk about the defensive line and why they are a good but not great unit - and finally we discuss if there is a chance we could see Deacon Hill this year at QB if Mertz continues to struggle.

Finally on Locked On Badgers; we take a look at the defense and if this unit has gotten so good and so deep that they just reload at this point. There are a lot of starters to replace, but I'll tell you why it probably won't matter.

Justin jumps on the show to talk Wisconsin Badgers basketball, John Blackwell, and Kamari McGee - also Buy/Sell Graham Mertz and the offense Apr 21, 2022
    Show notes

Justin Julka jumps on the show to give his take on the Wisconsin Badgers basketball recent moves - the additions of John Blackwell and Kamari McGee and why he's not sold on Graham Mertz and the Badgers football offense.

Justin discusses why he think McGee and Blackwell are high floor players that will help fix the Badgers shooting woes. We also discuss which player including 2022 signee Connor Essegian has the highest upside.

We jump into some football predications, who will the number two WR be -- several good candidates with Skyler Bell, Keontez Lewis, Markus Allen and Dean Engram. We jump into the OLB spot, specifically behind Nick Herbig - which player will have the best season out of the that group. Finally we discuss the TE position and which unsung player might lead that group in receptions and why the group might take a back seat this season.

We finish up on Locked on Badgers playing some buy and sell with the offense and Graham Mertz - why Justin disagrees with me that we shouldn't worry about the offense. We talk about why Leo Chenel won't be a 3rd round pick regardless of how many mock drafts have him there.

Its too early to stress the Wisconsin Badgers offense - Graham Mertz will be better for this football team. Apr 19, 2022
    Show notes

Why its too early to worry about the Wisconsin Badgers football offense. There are six coaches with different offensive responsibility from last season, that includes Paul Chryst moving into a more hands off role. The team is also replacing Danny Davis, Kendric Pryor and Jake Ferguson from last year's team - thats a lot of receptions to cover. Additionally - they are practicing against an elite Wisconsin defense - probably one of the best defenses the offense will face all year.

We talk further about the offense and have three reasons to be optimistic. The offensive line will be much better with Bob Bostad moving over - he's a natural offensive line coach and has already altered the practice tempo and philosophy. Braelon Allen will be in his second year, and he's going to be even scarier for opposing defenses to deal with. We also talk about the Badgers early season schedule and why it will help the Badgers get into an early rhythm.

Finally on Locked On Badgers, we talk about ESPN's FPI predications about Nebraska being the favorite in the Big Ten West -- we actually talk about why that isn't so crazy. The scheduling gods aren't kind to Wisconsin this year.

Kamari McGee transfers into the Wisconsin Badgers basketball team, Dillion Graff joins the show. Apr 18, 2022
    Show notes

Dillion Graff from USA Today joins the show to talk about the transfer of Kamari McGee from UW-Green Bay into the Wisconsin Badgers basketball program. What is McGee's game like? Dillion breaks down why he was a necessary pickup, how he's a high floor player and where he will need to improve. We chop up his ability as a secondary play-maker and why he can be a Trevor Anderson type -- which would be really helpful.

We talk about his fit with the team, why he probably can't play a ton with Chucky Hepburn and which spot is the next likely place for Greg Gard to target for in the transfer portal.

Finally I talk about 2023 HS guard commit John Blackwell, why you should trust Greg Gard despite Blackwell's limited offer list. Blackwell has a versatile game, I talk about why he fits a lot of needs on the Wisconsin team.

    ● This is the time of year that I’ve pretty much given up on all of my New Year’s resolutions. But not this year. I’m sticking to my resolution to eat right, thanks to Built Bar. It almost feels like it’s not really a resolution because I actually enjoy eating them.

    ● Have you tried the Puffs? If you haven’t you’re missing out on one of Built Bars best-tasting bars.

    ● Puffs are the first ever protein-infused marshmallow. They’re fluffy, they’re marshmallow-y. They’re not just a protein bar. They’re a treat. And they’re covered in 100% real chocolate.

    ● Puffs are a fan favorite with some incredible flavors, yummy cinnomanny-y Churro, Coconut Marshmallow, Banana Creme Pie… so good. These are going to be your new favorite.

    ● All Built Bars are covered in 100% real chocolate (yes, Puff’s included). 100% real chocolate!

    ● Low calorie, High protein. Replace your candy bars with these. They are better. A typical candy bar can be anywhere from two to three-hundred calories.

    ● Go to Built.com and scroll down to the macros chart. You’ll be blown away. High protein, low cal. High fiber, low carb.

    ● Most Built Bars contain: 130 Calories 4 Grams of Sugar 4 Net Carbs And 17 grams of Protein

Compare that to a candy bar which usually has around 240 Calories, 30 grams of sugar, and dozens of net carbs.

    ● Mint Brownie, Coconut, Coconut Almond. And new for this month White Chocolate Cookies N Cream! They are all delicious, and new flavors are coming out all the time. If they think a flavor might be good, they’ll make it. It will be delicious and it will be good for you.

At Built Bar, they are all about the taste. They make it taste delicious first, then figure out how to make it healthy. And I don’t know how, but they pull it off every time.
