    Life’s a Fight

Life’s a Fight is a metaphor for life. It’s a mindset and philosophy that shapes how you approach the challenges in front of you.

This is a low-key, down-to-earth podcast about the ups and downs of life. We’re talking everyday challenges and the big ones, too.

Using my life and experiences as the backbone—Spanish teacher turned UFC fighter, now a professional speaker with a wife and kids—you’ll hear stories, lessons and strategies to help you keep going when you don’t think you can.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed and could use some help fighting your fight, this is for you.

Hosted by former UFC fighter and teacher Charlie “The Spaniard” Brenneman.

*There are more than 2300 episodes of this podcast. Some of the older ones look different and have a different format.

The Spaniard Show has undergone a few name changes over the last two years. They all carry a similar theme. We started as A Fighter's Mindset. We continued as SPANIARD101: Learn to Be Bold. Currently, we carry the subtitle "World's Toughest Lifelong Learner." Today's episode, as well as the history and figures in this book, carry w/ it a very similar theme, that of conviction, pride and fight. I relate very well to it. I hope you do to. Enjoy today's episode.

I hope you are inspired to learn more about the Native Americans and the American West.

#191 Interview: Jeff Campbell, NFL Veteran Aug 16, 2018
    Show notes

When it comes to understanding the camaraderie of elite performers and professional athletes, nothing will ever help you more than this conversation between our guy The Spaniard, veteran of the UFC, and his guest Jeff Campbell, formerly of the Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos. Before this recording, these guys had talked all of five minutes, but they instantly fall into a rapport around the joys of getting beat up in practice, recovering from failure, locking onto goals, and navigating transitions from high school to college to the pros and then out into other fields. They also share sobering reflections regarding concussions as the talk segues into Jeff's current work related to deep brain stimulation. Enjoy listening to two bros bond.
