    Life’s a Fight

Life’s a Fight is a metaphor for life. It’s a mindset and philosophy that shapes how you approach the challenges in front of you.

This is a low-key, down-to-earth podcast about the ups and downs of life. We’re talking everyday challenges and the big ones, too.

Using my life and experiences as the backbone—Spanish teacher turned UFC fighter, now a professional speaker with a wife and kids—you’ll hear stories, lessons and strategies to help you keep going when you don’t think you can.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed and could use some help fighting your fight, this is for you.

Hosted by former UFC fighter and teacher Charlie “The Spaniard” Brenneman.

*There are more than 2300 episodes of this podcast. Some of the older ones look different and have a different format.

#201 Interview: Justin Greskiewicz, Fighter/Trainer/Owner, Stay Fly Muay Thai Oct 18, 2018
    Show notes

You know this episode's guest from the back cover of The Spaniard's memoir, "Driven." Remember the quote about Spanny's being an alien? Yup, it really does say that it, and it came from Justin Greskiewicz, trainer/owner of Stay Fly Muay Thai in Philadelphia and veteran of 94 fights, 70 of them as a pro. That's a lot of ring time, but Justin tells how some in his sport have fought over 400 times, yet emerged the sweetest of beings. He's participated in thousands of fights overall (hundreds as coach or referee) and explains how none gripped him more than one particular bout of The Spaniard's. Listen in on why.

    #200 Dreadisode: A New Sense of Mission & Balance Oct 11, 2018
    Show notes

Hey, this is at least semi-momentous! It's podcast episode #200 (not counting 589 episodes of AMX as of this posting). Yaaay! The trail has helped teach what it means to just stinkin' keep on keeping on. This is also the first Dreadisode in a while. The Spaniard tells ol' Dread about recent and upcoming trips and recordings, a new sense of mission, and a new awareness of what it takes to balance work and family. It's reflection suitable for hitting the double-century mark. You'll even hear a new Spaniardism!
