Show notes
December 16, 2016 is the 3rd Anniversary of Let's Voltron: The Official Voltron Podcast. Come celebrate 3 years of covering Voltron with Marc and Greg, along with our special guests, Zilla and Sarah! We talk about everything that happened this past year, including the debut of DreamWorks Animation's Voltron Legendary Defender on Netflix. We also read our Voltron Fan emails, where you've shared your personal highlights from 2016, and we look forward to 2017.
We want to thank the faithful Let's Voltron listeners for following Voltron with us for the past 3 years, and we want to say, "Welcome!", to all the new listeners who have recently found out about our podcast.
Special thanks to Zilla(@beanyzilla), who has now been on the podcast 3 times, and who designed this awesome 3rd Anniversary plaquard, which features our favorite Voltron Paladins, along with a special tribute to Rover, who we miss very much!
AND... We want to Congratulate Zilla for making it to the FINALS of the Voltron Robeast Fan Art Contest, sponsored by DreamWorks Animation! If Zilla wins, DreamWorks Animation will make a custom-drawn scene, with Voltron fighting her Robeast! Please vote on Zilla's robeast at http://www.voltron.com/robeastfanartcontest/
We also want to thank Sarah (@SarahKFetter) for joining us for the first time on the podcast, for her great Shiro cosplay at NYCC, and for sharing her thoughts on Voltron in 2016 and what she is looking forward to in 2017.
We shared so many memories of Voltron in 2016 in this podcast. If you sent us an email, listen for your highlights. We still can't stop talking about the great merchandise that came out this year, including the Han Cholo Designs for Voltron, including rings, cufflinks, earrings, pendants, and more. Here's some recent photos of those designs, and you can still get them in time for Christmas at www.HanCholo.com
Some of the Voltron fan emails, talking about their highlights from 2016, included pictures that we talked about on the podcast. So you can reference what we were talking about, there are 2 pics from Joanne (Sculpy clay Allura and Tim, Mitch, Joanne), and 1 pic from Acelynn (Lance project). Enjoy!
Of course, we also have another great Voltron Fan Spotlight, which features a Voltron Voice Meme from Goodnyte (Sam) (@goodnyte). Thank you, Goodnyte, for all your great thoughts on Voltron Legendary Defender! It really generated a long discussion with all of us on this podcast. Loved it!
Next week, we will be featuring a special interview with the Background & Props Design Supervisor at DreamWorks Animation, Christine Bian! Christine has worked on Voltron Legendary Defender as a Design Supervisor since the project started, and has had a large influence on the designs of Voltron and all 5 Lions! We know you will enjoy this interview!
Please do not send us any questions for Christine, as that interview has already been recorded. Thanks!
Our newsletter is another way we communicate with you! If you want to join our mailing list to get our newsletter, which features exclusive content, contests, and more, send us an email at letsvoltronpodcast@gmail.com
Thanks for listening! Let's Voltron!
