Urgot Dec 18, 2023

Show notes

The big bundle of bald badness from below left a strong impression on us; mainly that he's really cool looking and generally scawy. Which is quite lucky for him, because the dread is most certainly nought in the details, from a lot of yada-yada-yada in the bio to a near literal REEL MISSING moment from his stories. Enjoy our repeated mentions that big Urgot should make an appearance in S2 of Arcane, and grapple with whether you'd also be down to join Urgot's spider cult thingy.

Briar & Upcoming Lore Changes Dec 11, 2023

Show notes

Briar doesn't have much to chat about here, so we thought we'd use her episode to also discuss why she doesn't have much to talk about. Riot Games has some big lore changes coming, and of course we have big feelings about them. We also quite enjoy Briar's vibe, but please, for the love of everything, make the Black Rose less incompetent.

Udyr Dec 04, 2023

Show notes

Although Udyr got a rework recently, we still feel that his lore needs a little help. Perhaps there's too much here? Who'd of thunk it! With an exceptionally long bio and and a story that makes no sense, we're left feeling that maybe there were too many cooks in the kitchen for the Spirit Walker. But hey, at least he's got that one really amazing story! And also Spirit Walkers are very cool (and so is Udyr)

Twitch Nov 20, 2023

Show notes

Fellow loreheads, we have a new record for shortest bio! Who would have though it could get worse than yordles or void champs? We certainly didn't. This poor little rat hangs around Zaun and uhhh that's pretty much it? Maybe he'll get something in Arcane, because that seems to be his only hope.

Twisted Fate Nov 13, 2023

Show notes

We've already covered just about everything when it comes to Twisted Fate, but we had no complaints about going back to some of the best stories Riot Games has ever created. With comedy, action, romance, and character development??? this is basically everything we always ask for.

Tryndamere Nov 06, 2023

Show notes

Like most champs that are older than dirt, this Barbarian King are basically no lore. What's really tough is that it's boring! Even the old stuff! Who has boring Journal of Justice articles?! Tryndamere, apparently. But at least he has a great love story. Just trust us, these two people who have never interacted on page before are super duper into each other.

Trundle Oct 30, 2023

Show notes

It's hard to imagine Trundle and Lissandra having a conversation, but here we are. The Troll King has gone through some changes over the years. We're proud to report he's still very gross. Actually, he might be LESS gross? Wild! Anyway, sorry about all the toot talking!

Tristana Oct 23, 2023

Show notes

We're back, friends! And ready to talk about a yordle that actually has some lore?! Not unheard of but wow, how rare. This yordle gunner loves running around the world and shooting people with her giant canon. Non-lethally, of course. How is that possible? Runeterra turns into a cartoon when yordles are around. Uhhh, don't worry about it!

Thresh Oct 03, 2023

Show notes

It's quite appropriate that we welcome the arrival of the scariest month of the year with the big bundle of spooky chains himself. As Runeterra's actual factual villain, we're happy to see Riot willing to spend some time with the chain warden, most recently filling out his background via the Ruination novel. Aside from the expected (murder, taunting Lucian, more murder), we also enjoyed reading about Thresh's IRL cyberbullying and workshopped a potential musical number for the hookman.

Teemo Sep 25, 2023

Show notes

You may think this Swift Scout, who has been in the game longer than like EVERYONE, might have more than a bio. A story. Just a single story? Or maybe a bio that has any bit of canon in it? Well, you'd be wrong! Riot has no idea what to do with Teemo, but thankfully, we do. Make him Ascended! There ya go.
