Loreheads Q&A Mar 04, 2024

Show notes

We hit 1 million downloads this week! Yay! We couldn't have done it without y'all, obviously, and wanted to celebrate by answering some questions from our lovely listeners. It was nice to reflect back and get excited about the Runeterra MMO. WHICH IS DEFINITELY STILL HAPPENING YES? YESS??

Viego Feb 27, 2024

Show notes

We've gone over this so many times, we needed to bring in a guest to help us out. Since the lovely Sarah knows absolutely nothing about Viego (BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T LISTEN TO OUR PODCAST I GUESS), we thought she could provide some insight as an outsider. Or at least be someone we could tell the story to because we've all been over this a million times.

Vi Feb 19, 2024

Show notes

With Arcane officially being canon, Vi's lore is basically all irrelevant at this point. It was still fun to go through what Riot had in mind for her. Although we definitely prefer Arcane Vi. She's just so cool!!!

Vex Feb 12, 2024

Show notes

Like most yordles, Vex doesn't have much lore, but at least she's in Rise of the Sentinels. Yay... The Gloomist is a cute little emo yordle though. Almost cute enough to forgive the use of the word "normie". Almost.

Song of Nunu Feb 05, 2024

Show notes

We have mixed feelings about the lore moving forward. Getting stories via games like this feels so cool, but Riot Games has gotten rid of Riot Forge, so what does that mean for future games and lore? Hopefully we learn more soon. Meanwhile, this was a great way to feel more connected to Runeterra and the handful of champions we got to see. We need more!! And the MMO.

Vel'Koz Jan 29, 2024

Show notes

Like most void champs, Vel'Koz is rocking with very little lore and nowhere to go. Still, he's a simple but effective tool for the Watchers in the void. Now, if only we knew what the watchers were.

Veigar Jan 22, 2024

Show notes

Veigar is a simple idea Riot Games figured out pretty early. There have been shockingly few changes to one of League's oldest champions, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Veigar is fun, hilarious, and has so much potential with a ton of other champions. VEIGAR EVENT 2024!!!

Vayne Jan 15, 2024

Show notes

Although Vayne's in game play hasn't changed much, Riot has tweaked her lore a few times here and there. She's always loved killing monsters, but these days she does it while acting a little less like Batman. They're also shying away from her being a weirdo villain. Mistake!!

Varus Jan 08, 2024

Show notes

Varus has quite a bit of lore, but as a Darkin, we feel like he comes up a little bit short. He sure is hot though! And there's three whole dudes in there. That's cool, right?

Hwei Jan 02, 2024

Show notes

Although we weren't expecting any color stories for a while (or at all), League's new champion came with one! The Loreheads have some mixed feelings about Hwei, but we do love that Riot is paying attention to lore everyone loves (did you know Jhin is one of our most downloaded episodes?) He's a sad painter boy who loves poetry and maybe murder. And paint magic or something.
